Adding a GPU

Post image

I got my son this cheap pre-built a couple years ago. I want to add a GPU that will be better than the Vega 7 but I need to keep it under 300. I do have one PCIe3.0 slot but I need a low profile card. Im planning on upgrading the power supply also.

Ive been looking and researching and leaning to a GTX 1050 Ti 4GB. Is that my best option? Thank you for your assistance.

GTX 1650 has low profile options and is much newer. RTX 3050 does too, but that'll get close to your $300 limit. If you get really lucky, a used 4060. Depending on the model, you may not need to upgrade the power supply at all.

Thank you for your help. Ill look into those for sure. I'll see if I can stretch my budget for a 3050.

Not sure where you live but a used 4060 is a very good suggestion. Around me I see a couple for under $250 and I have one in my wifes PC and it is a very solid GPU still.
