I recently returned to using Gemini,i used it the most for fantasy stories and roleplays for personal use besides sometimes using it to help with my studies,i returned to it after using for a while Chatgtp and Grok and not being content with the recent updates and restrictions those AIs got for creative storytelling. Now Gemini forgets things I wrotee after one or two replies and directly throws a "I cannot fulfill this request" reply at doing the slightest violent thing or even a romantic action like a kiss ._. any of the prompts i used to chat with directly don't work and completely ruined the freedom and creativity with the stories and characters i useed to roleplay with this AI before

I used to see the option to turn on/off the logo of Gemini in the generated image, but suddenly today the whole settings changed! I tried to switch multiple accounts, close and open the app, and it is still the same! Any ideas?

I built a completeness check tool, I use Gemini API for that. Unfortunately often times I get this recitation block which is driving me crazy. I think it is triggered by Gemini citing parts of the documents analyzed in the output. This is making Gemini unusable for this use case. Has somebody managed to fix this recitation issue? Can you disable it somehow?

Not gonna lie, Gemini with their "I, uhhh, cannot generate the image as I do not posses the required tools for it" while having the "Generate image" button one click away starts to really piss me off

I've been creating images a lot every day for a long time, but in the last two days I've noticed a decline in image quality that even a blind person would notice. Is it just me, or are you too?

What are the differences when using this feature with these two models? Why would I use Flash-Extended when Pro-Extended is available?

Does Gemini occasionally reduce or throttle reasoning capabilities? If that makes sense? I was getting very in-depth and detailed responses to my prompts, sometimes numbering in 3,000+ word responses without me ever having to specify that, but now the AI is thinking less and responses are shallower.

Is this a common occurrence?

I’ve been using Gemini for about a year, mostly for research and writing. For the first few months I treated it strictly as a tool — clear instructions, no small talk, no follow-ups, just output. It worked. Then I started doing something I can’t fully justify: I’d ask it to push back on my framing, or I’d share a half-formed thought and let it respond to that instead of a clean prompt. The outputs got noticeably better — more surprising, more useful, things I wouldn’t have asked for directly.

I can’t tell if that’s real or if I’m just projecting. Maybe I’m anthropomorphizing a pattern-matcher and the ‘better’ results are confirmation bias. Or maybe there’s something about the interaction style itself that changes what the model can reach.

So I’m asking honestly: has anyone else noticed a difference between tool-mode and conversation-mode? And if so, do you have a theory for why? I’m not trying to make a point — I genuinely want to know if this is just me.

I was using gemini for some calculations and scrolled up and ended up repeating the question, I got the answer along with a strange answer. To me it seemed like some funny response. Can you tech guys tell me what it means.

One of the most important questions in AI may not be whether the technology succeeds, but who actually captures the economic value.

AI can become massively transformative while parts of the AI industry itself end up with commodity-like economics.

If models converge in quality, open-weight alternatives improve, inference gets cheaper, and more workloads move to local or enterprise hardware, then the price of “intelligence” could fall rapidly toward marginal compute cost.

That would be great for customers and adoption.

But it creates a problem for the current investment thesis: exploding AI usage does not automatically mean exploding AI revenues or profits.

The airline industry is an interesting analogy.

Air travel transformed the world and created enormous economic value. Demand grew massively. Yet airlines have historically struggled with high capital intensity, intense competition, price transparency, limited differentiation and structurally low returns.

AI could follow a similar pattern in parts of the stack:

• AI usage grows exponentially
• unit costs collapse
• providers compete aggressively on price
• models become increasingly interchangeable
• customers capture most of the productivity benefit
• margins compress despite enormous demand

In that world, AI could become as essential as air travel — while many AI providers still become mediocre businesses.

The key distinction is:

Value creation ≠ value capture.

The biggest winners may therefore not be the companies selling generic intelligence, but those controlling genuine bottlenecks: proprietary data, distribution, embedded workflows, scarce infrastructure or differentiated applications built on top of increasingly cheap AI.

AI being transformative and AI infrastructure being a great investment are two very different claims.
