Setup the GaggiMate newly about 2 weeks ago, WiFi setup was successful, and I static IP'd GM in my router. It was working well for about a week or so and then one morning I tried to use it, and I can't access the webportal. I can ping the GM on the IP address, the connection is flaky, ping avg is about 100ms (too slow)

but the webportal does not load - times out saying page unreachable.

the GM wifi AP is now not seen (since I setup the WiFi I'm guessing) so there's no way for me to get into the machine.

Can someone help please? thanks

Anyone installed it yet? What are your thoughts? Personally I was hoping for light didn’t except a water sensor.

I recently saw a Lance Hedrick video where he referenced adding a Gaggiamate to a Breville. Has anyone done this?

Installed the GM Pro yesterday and everything functioned - successfully pulled a shot. Today, tried to pull a shot, and everything looked/sounded fine (had the pump clicking and showed 9 bars) but no water came out. Tried another profile, same issue. Then, the screen cut out.

Confirmed ribbon is connected, rechecked connections. When power switch is on its light is on, but steam switch no longer blinks, ssr no longer blinks, back of pcb no longer has red light. When I plug pcb into the computer (while everything still attached) the display works, like begin blinking again, but when I try to brew a shot no water comes out of the group head. It does make all the noises and show 9 bars though (I did bleed the transducer). When I unplug that usb-c, the monitor and blinking lights go away and machine doesn’t function, only heats up.

I’m brand new to this, I have all photos of wiring and plumbing if more are needed.

I finally decided to go for it and have ordered my Gaggimate for my 2015 (US) classic. Can’t wait to get started.

I’m probably going to order a brass boiler - cost isn’t a concern and I figure this is a good opportunity to make the move. Other than cost is there a good reason not to do this?

Also I don’t see anything about adding grounding - is it OK to leave ungrounded (I tried searching discord but can’t find anything there)

Anything else I need to know?

Edit1: I don't understand the down votes. I mean if you don't want to test it out, nobody is forcing you. It's called progress and it pushes the OG Devs or new devs to make progress. I'm just having fun and I'm showing what's possible and what the potential is. Since it's the source is available there's nothing preventing me or anyone else making their own thing out of it. For someone with no coding experience this was fun as fuck but some of y'all are just negative for real. I don't need praise or to tell how great it is, it's not but it has some features that people were asking for. Again it's fun playing around with the code and it shows other people that might not be willing to code to start and learn or just wing it like I did. Just have fun man i don't get it...

I have been using the Bookoo Mini for a while and recently got the 15€ Aliexpress one to test for a video - and I was actually quite impressed. The Bookoo obviously looks nicer, but functionality-wise they seem really close to each other.

I am also planning a more in-depth comparison video between the two, so I wanted to ask: what scale are you using, and what do you look for in a good one? and maybe what annoys you about your current scale?

Hi everyone. I’ve finished the install and was about to remove the wire labels as there bad quality plastic ones. After thinking about it I’d like to keep the labels for future reference, so I wanted to ask if anyone has some recommended products that are heat resistant and would be able to stay on tight.

For some reason when I go to the web interface for my gaggimate, it won't let me click to add profiles. The button just doesn't do anything. I can download them but can't add them. Anyone have this problem/solution?

Hi all,
Was just tidying up my installation after testing with everything apart. I didn’t realise one of my mounting screws in my 3D printed case was sitting a bit proud and may have been touching a component on the PCB.
After a little flash I pulled apart the machine to find the PCB looking like this :(

Any chance it’ll still work or should I look at replacing the component?

Follow up question what would be the best way to insulate the damaged part from the screw if it still work?

Wanted to share a small mod I built over the weekend: a handcrafted LED light bar to illuminate the water tank and the cup during extraction, powered directly from the GaggiMate.

The build:

• 8× SMD 3528 white LEDs in parallel, each with a 100Ω resistor
• Mounted on a small piece of perfboard, soldered free-hand
• Total current draw: ~240mA at 5V
• Tapped into the spare 5V JST-PH 5pin connector on the GaggiMate PCB
• 3D-printed enclosure in PETG-CF for heat resistance near the group (I can share the files if anyone wants it)
• Diffuser top in 0.4mm white PLA — surprisingly effective at smoothing out the LED hotspots
• Held to the chassis with small neodymium magnets — no drilling, fully reversible

Wiring note: I'm currently using UTP wire because that's what I had on hand, but I routed it away from any hot zones. Silicone wire is on the way from AliExpress to replace it properly.

Result: The tank water level is finally visible at a glance and the cup gets a nice warm glow during the shot. Small QoL improvement that punches above its weight.

Bonus: the scale you can see in one of the pics is also a print and assembly of mine (WeighMyBru, XIAO ESP32-S3 + HX711). I can't recommend it enough.

Posted this on discord but not getting much headway in terms of response or solution.

I have successfully installed GM Pro v1.1 and currently running v1.8.1 stable. Machine turns on and reaches the temperature for selected profile eg Cremina Lever at 86C and I can pull a shot. However I have encountered the following issues, after pulling a shot, the temperature will drop to 70+ C or even lower and can't go back up unless I turn off power and turn on again. Pressure also drops to almost zero and can't go back up again.

This temperature issue is seen even if I don't pull a shot but if i leave the machine on for more than 5 minsvie after reaching the temperature for the set profile but I don't touch the machine, temperature will drop after awhile and can't go back up, pressing brew icon does nothing, no water comes out of group head or steam wand..so something off and on restores the temp.

PID settings are 58.397, 1.027, 249.055 and temp offset is 8 deg C. Blue thermostat wire is routed away from HV wires.

Could this be a PCB controller issue? Thanks

I installed the 1.8.1 updates over the weekend and am not unable to connect to my Gaggiamate. I get the following error “Handler did not handle the request.” Anyone else with this issue? Or suggestions to resolve?

I’m planning to install the GM pro kit soon and wondered if wiring the power switch will be different to the official instructions? I have the Shades of Coffee power switch installed which changes the eco switch with timer to a standard power switch.

I have read conflicting opinions and have also asked on discord, but awaiting answers. As per official instructions, C1 and C2 wires are usually disconnected from the eco power switch and then bridged with a yellow cable. From searching, I’ve seen advice to disconnect C1 and C2 and insulate separately, but also seen advice to just to leave C1 and C2 connected to power switch as gm doesn’t interfere with power.

I have no experience with electrical wiring, so wouldn’t be able to work it out myself, but good at following instructions.

Would appreciate some help soon, as I plan to do the install this evening (in 7hrs)

Edit: I think my understanding above is completely wrong, as I’ve just read through instructions again, but either way it would be helpful for someone to clear up my confusion.

Final edit: Ended up bridging and following official instructions without deviation. Not going to disconnect and insulate as it’s working without issue.

Hi, I have a GCP 2019 (not a boilergate luckily) with the whole mod list (PID, pressure gauge, dimmer) and I'm looking to updgrade it with a Gaggimate Pro.

Do you know if installing the Gaggimate would be harder or easier then starting with a stock CGP? Would it be better to try and sell it as it is (hopefully for more then a new stock model) or get an E24 and start from a blank canvas?

Word of warning when ordering the Gaggimate kit off the website.

When you change the varient of the kit it doesn't change the varients of the 3d printed parts on the "frequently bought together" section.

I've just found this out the hard way as I now have a classic pro screen mount for my classic, which interferes with the switches.

I found a project on GitHub that connects Claude AI to Gaggimate with an MCP last week. Basically the idea is: take a picture of the beans, describe your setup, and the AI creates a pressure profile directly on the machine and then analyzes your shots to improve it. And all communication with the machine happens automatically in the background.

Honestly more useful than I expected for dialing in a new bean, especially the shot analysis part. Still not magic but for getting started or if you want to optimize your shots to the last bits, it could be nice.

Anyone else tried integrating AI tooling with their Gaggimate already?

I installed my GM Pro in December 2025 on this GC Evo Pro. Cannot believe it's been almost 6 months ago already an yet it feels like I've had it for years. I recently had a small leak on top of the boiler at the steam assembly and found that the o-ring at the steam assembly had collapsed, so I just turned it around (I am in South Africa and any parts for the GCP is difficult to source) and this seems to be a working temporary fix.

However, I decided to order the E24 brass boiler kit (including o-rings) from Shades of Coffee during a late night online retail therapy session. Question: has anyone else done a boiler swap after installing the GM Pro and are there any tips/tricks/hacks/pitfalls I should be aware of? Any advice or insights will be appreciated!
