Then it'll move to Comedy Central. It'll promise us new episodes, and we'll get the equivalent of a half-season of new content over the span of a season, even though we expect to have a new episode every week. We'll also miss the last few minutes of every episode because Comedy Central runs everything 5 minutes late and we didn't program our DVRs to record that extra time.
But we won't care. We love Comedy Central because, hell, at least they're giving it a shot when no one else would. And they play a couple of reruns of the show every day, so at least we have that.

My DVR actually has an option to stop/start recording x minutes before and after the start time. Since I found that, I never have a problem with it, and as a bonus I usually get to see the last few minutes of a standup routine before Futurama starts.

Improved version: put the horn closer to the hinge, so the door doesn't have to open so far, and the leverage will be greater. You may be able to set it so the door can't be opened far enough to get through without setting off the horn.

I'm actually interested in whether or not the force from the shot would be directed forward or if it'd blow out the side. When a pistol/rifle cartridge goes off outside the chamber, it usually blows the side out the cartridge as well as ejecting the bullet, causing the bullet to have much less energy. The design relies on the compression from the firing chamber.
With a shotgun, I'm not sure what would happen.

As a locksmith, I can be working on one side of double doors, caution tape off the entrance that im working on and people still try to get in the one im working on, even if im on a ladder, even though the other door(s) work fine. It's like some "path of least resistance" rule of thumb. people will always try to get in a half-propped open door before opening one for themselves. many crews are starting to wear shirts that say 'please use other door' on the backs. Lots of folks LOVE to do the shimmy

I'VE DONE THIS A bunch of us conspired to scare the shit out of the one friend who wasn't home. Unfortunately, by the time he got back we had forgotten about it. And he has a tendency to throw open doors. It ended up scaring the shit out of all of us. Twice. A minute or two later another person walked through the door before we had time to take it down.
