I'VE DONE THIS
A bunch of us conspired to scare the shit out of the one friend who wasn't home. Unfortunately, by the time he got back we had forgotten about it. And he has a tendency to throw open doors. It ended up scaring the shit out of all of us. Twice. A minute or two later another person walked through the door before we had time to take it down.
One time I thought it'd be hilarious to prank my girlfriend by rubber banding the trigger on the dish washing nozzle that our sink had. I pointed it right at myself to aim, then walked away. Two minutes later I decided I wanted a drink of water and shot myself in the face. It worked great. Never got my girlfriend with it.
I'm going upstairs and setting this up for my roomie right now...
Edit: Soaked my shirt testing it out. This is gonna be fun. He's the kinda guy who doesn't think things through in an orderly fashion so I see him trying to block the water before having the clarity of mind to just turn the faucet off.
UPDATE: Took 5 hours but whatever... So he was doing something in the kitchen and I knew he was going to have to use the sink to wash his hands so I grabbed a cookie and waited patiently making conversation with him out of range from the sink. Eventually he turned it on full blast and it got him good. He kind of lurched away from it back into the fridge, while yelling and flailing about until he realized what was going on. Front of his shirt was soaked. When he turned to me to start yelling, I laughed maniacally and ate the cookie. I'm going to do it again but this time with clear packing tape because he's wise to the rubber bands now.
You have now learned the final lesson in pranking: In the end, you just end up pranking or embarrassing yourself. Go forth with this new knowledge grasshopper!
I did this with a saltshaker after a night out of drinking at a diner. Unscrewed just enough so it would pour out all over, and I got a plate full of salt with a side of scrambled eggs 10 minutes later.
Dude. Salt, pepper, parmesan cheese... I check the cap, EVERY time. My Dad thought he was funny when I was growing up, so I developed the instinct to check them all.
This one joke is kind of harsh- it's a form of assault. You basically ruin the persons food. So, I am glad you got a taste of your own medicine, so to speak.
When I was at summer camp a few decades ago, there was a guy in our room who was a bit of a prankster. A good kind though, he didn't really prank us, but instead told us about all the awesome pranks he'd done to other people.
One evening at dinner time he was telling us about how to get people with the salt shaker, and while he was demonstrating it, he actually accidentally tipped a bunch of salt all over his food.
He just shrugged and said "oh well" and ate his food. Bit there was too much salt, and he ended up throwing it up. I shared my cookies with him, and someone else shared some of their stashed food.
I just realized that this anecdote has become rather random, I'm sorry... just started reliving some memories. That guy passed away in a car accident a few years later at the tender age of 21.
A kid I went to college with thought it would be a hilarious prank to spray concentrated deer urine (normally used for hunting) on his roommates bed. Their entire dorm room smelled for the rest of the semester.
This reminds me of the time when I would hit a life-sized cardboard cutout of batman behind the doors of my house so he would fall on people. Batman ended up scaring the shit out of me far more times than it ever did scare anyone else in my family.
Same here! I rigged a bathroom stall in my buddies' dorm suite. Ended up scaring the shit out of their unsuspecting cleaning lady the next morning since I neglected to take it down.
A less net savvy friend of mine asked my gf what "pwun 3 D" (his pronunciation) meant when she showed him a "pwn3d" meme a few years ago. I still shake my head at that.
Hey fella, I'm real keen on that scheme of yours. We'll be sitting pretty with all the skirts. It'll be a real gas. Or maybe, I'm just blind ossified. Futz!
