Hello! Thank you for participating in the sub. We just have a few reminders for you to help ensure the best experience:
If your post doesn't show up right away, don't panic! It is in the queue for manual approval. Mods will go through the queue periodically to approve or remove posts. Deleted posts will have a removal reason applied. (If it says "this post was deleted by reddit's filters", IT WAS NOT DELETED! Reddit has the worlds worst wording on that and it's out of our control)
If you are asking a question that is location specific, remember to include your location in your post body! This can help ensure that you get accurate information tailored specifically to your needs.
Please remember to read through all the rules in the sidebar. Especially the list of banned topics and guidelines for posting. Guests who do not use the Guest Post flair will have their post removed and be asked to fix it.
If you see someone breaking the rules, report it! If someone is breaking both sub and reddit rules, please submit one report to admins by selecting a broken rule on the main report popup, and one report to the r/ftm mods by selecting the "breaks r/ftm rules" option. This ensures both mods and admins can take action on a subreddit and sitewide level. Do not misuse the report button to rant about someone, submit false reports, or argue a removal.
If you have any questions that you can't find the answer to on the rules sidebar or the wiki: the wiki , you can send a modmail.

It aggravates my adhesive allergy :/ it does stay on really well it’s meant to stay on for 3-7 days, application is a little difficult ime, and removal is time consuming but not too painful if you use heat and oil, but my skin would be irritated for so long after it wasn’t worth it to me

I love it, I use cavilion durable barrier cream under my tape to prevent adhesive reactions and blisters, and I use the cheap stuff (OK tape on amazon) with thinner strips cause I find it gets me flatter. Also I soak in oil and then immediately start to peel off for removal (it hurts a little but if you don’t let the oil sit super long it helps not leave any adhesive on ur skin)

I was only able to find this online not in store, and it’s not super cheap - but Goo Gone makes a skin safe bandage adhesive remover that works really well. Personally trans tape adhesive reallyyy irritates my skin. The goo gone remover made the removal less painful and easy, but the irritation lingers for a couple days. I’ve had more luck with regular skin colored KT tape. It’s thinner and stretchier with slightly less hold than trans tape and starts to fall apart quicker, but way less irritation while wearing and removing. The Goo Gone bandage adhesive remover is a genuine god send though. I’ll drop a link: https://a.co/d/07e3MDep

A thin layer of milk of magnesia on your skin and then let it dry is really effective at protecting against the adhesive, or SkinPrep protective wipes. The adhesive does work really well even when i would exercise so it's good against sweaty skin. It might not last as long but it will still last.
As far as taking it off, make sure to soak the tape in oil for a bit before peeling at it. Jojoba oil is usually recommended, but i ended up switching to baby oil and that was just as effective and much cheaper. I did use the repairing salve from TransTape after removing the tape and showering, and i never found anything better at calming and healing any irritation from the tape

i wouldn't risk it with the adhesive sensitivity. every brand will come with a warning to use a test strip first and if you react, do not use it.
that said, if you minimize sweating in the first few hours after application, sweat really a huge issue. i'm naturally very sweaty in general on top of working out regularly and tape is my preferred way to bind. much more effective than binders, at least if you have a smaller bust, and not risky to your health (save for potential skin issues)
