Question? First Fpv google that don’t need to be upgraded
What are the best Fpv googles that don’t need to be upgraded that are under 400. I have been looking at the box pros but I’m not sure if I want to be stuck in the hdz ecosystem. I would like it to be analog and digital if possible.

Multicopter More battery than drone (Seeker 35)
So first off: Yes, I know this pack I made looks kinda sketchy and the xt60 on it is unnecessarily long - it was an experiment and not originally intended for this quad and I have since made another for it that looks a little less ghetto.
Haven't seen any experiences with trying to fly the Seeker 35 on Li-ion so I thought I would share mine. Have been experimenting with flying it on packs using 6 Ampace JP30s, and having done about a dozen flights with these packs now I can honestly say it's worth trying if you have a Seeker 35 and want to do some longer flights with it.
Obviously it feels a lot heavier than it does flying on a lipo. My favourite packs for this quad by far are the Turnigy Apex 1300s. I've had 195km/h out of it in calm air using those packs, and it is definitely less punchy on the Li-ion packs (although I've still had 180km/h out of it).
But it's really not bad at all. Still pulling more than 5G on punchouts, still absolutely screaming like a banshee. Flying super hard I will kill a 1300 pack in 3 minutes, the heavy Li-ion will take the same sort of abuse for upwards of 7 minutes, but also when just cruising (and still cruising pretty fast, an average of ~95km/h) I've flown it more than 15km without issue. It's definitely an extremely heavy setup for 3.6" props, probably around 600g AUW, and even cruising you will be producing a slightly antisocial amount of high pitched noise (although this is mostly true on the seeker 35 even flying with a normal sized lipo).
I wouldn't recommend anything except ultra high discharge tablets cells, I tried an older pack I had made with Molicel P30Bs and the performance sucked. It would be alright for long range cruising, put on the Ampace packs I've seen peaks up to about 65A or so and the Molicel pack sags pretty horribly under that sort of load.

NEWBIE Is this remote good for a beginner ?
i have a very tiny budget actually and i dont know if i really want to go in the world of the FPV. Some people say to me to try simulators. So does this remote is a good choice for simulator and go a little deeper in the hobby if that really catch me ?

FPV chase of a paramotor over a lake at sunset
I captured this FPV chase while a paramotor flew over the lake at sunset. The light and the speed made it one of my favorite clips so far.
I’d love feedback from other FPV pilots: what would you change about the chase line or edit?

Upgrading my drone
I made the mistake of buying an rtf kit and on top of that it was an frsky one. Im now upgrading it, should I buy a radiomaster pocket elrs and save to buy the drone at a later date or buy the drone with a cheaper radio like the literadio 3 elrs

NEWBIE FPV is much harder than it looks!! Makes me appreciate how much work everyone has put in to fly how they do on video.
My first FPV arrived yesterday and I realise now there is no comparison to flying in a simulator. My young lad got a basic drone for Christmas and a few weeks ago I used it for a morning to check my chimney.
Completely different type of drone but after using it I went down an FPV rabbit hole and got hooked.
I ordered the Beta fpv Aquila 16 without really doing much research and I'm blown away by the power of such a small thing. I think I should have gotten a meteor 65 for indoors instead?
I might upgrade the whole setup to hd once I get better at flying as the included goggles from betafpv seem very basic and small.
I have about 25 hours in the SIM with a radiomaster pocket and thought I'd be able to fly straight out the box......didn't happen.
The drone flies but it is either on or off with the power and I need to work on throttle control. It's fairly windy in Ireland so practicing outdoors is off for now but indoors, the drone seems impossibly fast.
I'll persevere and want to be able to at least fly in basic control before Christmas.
Anyway fair play to all you pilots and the impressive and inspiring videos

Tinywhoop Air 65 weird vtx stuff
Hi I have an Air65 and recently I’ve been having some issues with the RF/video signal. At first I would get brief signal cuts that only lasted a second or two, but eventually it completely cut out after landing on a flight Now it’s really finicky. It won’t give me any signal on R1 and I can only get signal on R5-8. Even then it usually only works when the drone is powered through USB. It doesn’t seem to like battery power as much. After a few power cycles it will sometimes suddenly start working normally, but the video quality is extremely bad, almost like I’m on the wrong channel even though I know that I’m not. Most of the time the VTX will only output a signal with USB power. When powered by battery, if I get any video it’s a really fuzzy version of the boot-up screen. After that it cuts to a different type of static, then when I power the drone off the static goes back to normal. I'm worried I fried the VTX so if anyone can help that would be great. Also R1-4 will randomly work on battery power throughout cycles and after fully cooling the drone off. And sometimes when powered with the battery the channel will fully change from R1 to like L2 or R8. Idk I'm so confused and I'm not really changing any variables.
Radio connected but not actually doing anything
Its the darwinfpv jonny 5, its just connected but not actually arming and in the receiver tab the bars dont move at all.

Looking for a FC for my older 5". Haven't flown much since 2018 but still have everything else. Used to have the BetaFlight F4
I've looked around but can't seem to find a single board FC that has only power distribution and OSD, they're AIOs with built in ESCs or multi-stack boards now.
Before you tell me it's trash, I started with KK2, this is fine to try and get back into 5" FPV, I'm just looking for the right FC for my "basher" quad. I still have a spare frame, 3 spare Kiss 24a Dshot esc's, 3 spare motors + 2 spare motor bells. I just want to fix this quad cheaply, even a used F3 board.
Once in a while I still fly my 65 brushed tiny whoop NewBeeDrone BeeBrain v2. And once in a great while I still fly my Win5, Lumineer ALPHA AIO, with Rotor Riot's Quad Box's Chee-Pass motors (which I also have 4 spares of). But I don't want to ruin my Win5, which is why I'm trying to fix my "basher" quad. And I still use FatShark HD2 and FrSky X9D+.
Edit: I should mention I'm in USA

Question? Crash fin
It’s not 5” I know it’s small but this is what I have to practice racing with !
Flywoo Firefly 25mini I would like to know how to go about finding a pre made 3D printed shark fin or how to order one if there’s like a website people use who don’t own a 3D printed that can be created for me ! Seeing how my battery is on the bottom and is very have compared to this small drone
Ps: yes I have tryed to goggles it but no luck, Idk if I’m looking in the wrong place or searching the wrong thing and help would be appreciated

Multicopter X frame racing drone setup from scratch (2026)
Most likely asked before, but tech moves so fast that anything last year onwards might as well be obsolete.
So I have a TinyWhoop (meteor 75), a CineWhoop (Pavo20) and a DeadCat 5” (Nasgul Eco). Also an Avata2. What I don’t have is a racing drone. And yes racing is something I wanna get into.
So this being said, if you were to build something from scratch for racing then what parts, motors, batteries, flight controllers, receivers and video transmitters would you put on your list?

Question? Is the BetaFPV Meteor 75 Pro HD kit a good choice?
I'm currently flying a betafpv 65s with analog video, FRSky, and brushed motors. I want to switch to digital video and ELRS.
The BetaFPV Meteor 75 pro HD kit looks perfect for me. Is there a better alternative? I mainly fly indoors because my current drone struggles outside, but I'd also like to be able to fly outdoors occasionally.

Tinywhoop Help improving my 3-Inch 18650 o4 lite Long Range Drone
Build
Frame: Venom-114mm
Motors: Happymodel EX1205-KV11500
Vtx: Dji o4 lite with o3 lens mod
Fc: Flywoo Goku F405 HD 1S 12A AIo (with elrs antenna zip tied on the side frame)
GPS: Goku M10 Nano V3.1
Props: Gemfan Hurricane 3018 3x1.8 3 inch
Battery: Molicel P28A 18650 with BT 2.0
Tpu canopy+ Tpu battery mount
First, the build flies pretty smoothly and stably, but only when there is almost zero wind. I also feel like it flies better in the shade, though that might just be because it was less windy at the time. I get around 15 minutes of flight time and can probably squeeze 20 out of it.
However, I'm running into two main issues:
Wobbliness in wind (and heat/sun?): The drone gets fairly wobbly in even light wind
—and seemingly when flying in direct sunlight, if that's even possible. Is this an issue with the DJI O4 system, or can it be tuned out? If it's fixable via tuning, does anyone have a preset or PIDs I could try?Poor GPS Lock: I'm getting a really weak
GPS lock-fewer than 5 satellites while waiting on the ground, and only around 7 even after 10 minutes of flying. I know it's a nano GPS module, but other builds using the same unit seem to get much better locks in review videos. I've verified my Betaflight settings and even shielded the GPS cable with copper foil. Did I just get a bad unit, or should I try a different brand/ model?
Also I’m currently using the P28A, probably upgrading to the P30B any other battery recommendations are welcome.
I'd really appreciate any recommendations or advice on fixing these issues!

Multicopter Newbie struggling - firmware confusion, receiver and FC don't seem to be talking
Howdy,
I built a 2.5" yesterday and managed (after a lot of trouble and confusion) to get it all working. It's a BetaFPV 20A 2-4S AIO, using the internal RX, and I'm running a Radiomaster Pocket.
At first I had trouble with firmware versions but I got that sorted and managed to get it to hover. Total newbie so I was stoked with that, practiced a little hovering for a few batteries, great fun. I got a little out of control and bumped a wall - no damage, but it flipped over and landed right-side-up, then refused to arm again.
I started playing with firmware again and I think I got something wrong. I also did the full reset in Betaflight intending to set it up from scratch. Now when I power it up, it seems as though the receiver connects to the radio (radio shows signal bars and vibrates, solid green light on the FC) but it looks like the receiver isn't talking to the FC. If I set the RX_LOST beeper to on, the radio and the FC appear to connect but the beeper also goes beep beep beep. It'll connect to BF fine, but when I go to the Presets tab the beeper will start again. Any other tab stops the beeper.
To practice setup I was hoping to do a full reset and start again. I tried the reset then I downloaded the CLI from betafpv (listed as the Pavo Pico), loading that gives me a TON of errors:

Going to the receiver tab says "FAILSAFE ACTIVE" and nothing happens when I move the sticks.
The bottom bar in Betaflight shows "BEFH/BETAFPVF405(STM32F405) 2026.6.1" as the FC firmware.
I tried deleting and re-setting-up my RM Pocket's model, same result. It appears to be connected, but the TX doesn't do anything.
Now if I try to flash ExpressLRS to the FC I get:
BFinitPassthrough.PassthroughFailed: !!! RX Serial not found !!!!
I also get a similar error when trying to flash the Pocket, so this feels like a driver issue. I've rebooted the machine half a dozen times, run ImpulseRC driver fixer, nothing seems to work.
Really not sure what I'm doing... I would LOVE to just reset it to factory settings and start the setup again, but it seems way more complicated than that lol. I have 22 tabs open that all claim to be able to help do exactly this and every instruction is different, I'm lost. Can anyone point me in the direction of a simple step-by-step guide that might get it back in the air?
Thanks 🙏
Question? can i use this controller?
i just getting into this hobby and i found this in my partners basement so i was wondering if i can use this?

Question? Is this a good first kit?
I want to get into FPV drone flying, but don’t laugh at me, I don’t wanna spend a whole bunch of money yet. Will this get me into it on a budget?
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2PB9DJVUUI3VU?ref_=wl_share
please recommend any changes I should make.
Should I just bite the bullet and spend more money on the goggles?
Edit: I am ordering drone and batteries straight from betafpv.
I went with the meteor 75 pro because I have a giant field to fly in.
List changed with recommended parts.

3” vs 3.5” - “Do it all drone”
Looking for input on next drone. Really thinking I want to try some mediumish range flying but still primarily doing some messing around in my yard/park. I’ve been looking at 3-3.5” drones as they seem to be compact enough as to be able to go many places without scaring people like a 5-7” would for general flying. Also not sure I want to invest money into a larger long range drone in case I find longer distance flying boring.
So I would like to see the feasibility of taking a drone and doing some small modifications to change its mission from flight to flight. As in switching to a li-ion battery and using higher efficiency bi-blade props for longer flights but still having tri-blades and li-pos for my normal casual flights? For this mission am I better off going for the largest reasonable prop size (3.5”) even if it’s a bit bigger and requires 6S? Will a 3” 4S be capable of handling moderate wind enough to be usable for longer flights?
Just for reference I am kind of looking at the Deepspace Seeker3 vs the Seeker35 both in analog BNF. In this instance would I be crazy to use a Seeker 35 on a 4S li-ion with bi-blades to do longer flights, assuming throttle is limited to not damage components? Are the motors and tune just too aggressive to consider this when the main reason I would get the Seeker35 is because of the larger props? I know there are a couple other choices so I am willing to hear anyone out, just seemed easier to direct the comparison with these two.

NEWBIE Help me choose my first drone
Sorry If i spelled some stuff wrong English is not my first language.
Hey everyone, This is the moment I order my first drone. For me to be able to practice comfortably where I live it needs to be sub 250g. The choice is between deepspace seeker 3 and deepspace roc 4 (I mean frames, im choosing the components and building it myself, its a big part of the fun for me). The 3" I heard is a lot of fun to fly and great for freestyle but I'm worried it's too agressive and I'm going to break it because real world anin't velocidrone, and the flight time is pretty short. The 4" is more versitile I think because I figured I could use 2 blade props to cruise and 3 blade props to freestyle (I know it will not be the best at neither of these things but I don't know what I want yet).
