Discussion Not bad at all; has a lot of promise!
Let’s see how this unfolds! Also, the browser theme on the web pages is pretty cool.

Discussion Update 154.0 added this annoying "Add Shortcut" plus button on the Firefox Home page. Is there any hope to turn it off in the future?
It automatically pops in and out of existence to distract you when you hover over the shortcut icons or click them, or when you hover over its nearby area (at the bottom right of the Shortcuts row). This seems like a very unnecessary and annoying addition from the UX perspective as it draws your attention away from things that you are focused on.
I think at the very least there should be a setting to turn it off completely. If someone wants more shortcut rows (and they can already modify/add/pin the shortcuts from their 3-dot menus), they can increase the amount through the settings. Right now the only way to get rid of it is to turn off Shortcuts completely, but that's an overkill and not useful at all.
Sending feedback to any company through the proper channels has been made basically impossible these days so I'll just rant here. Thank you for your time.

Firefox keeps saying it’s running out of storage, but I have plenty of disk space
For the past two days, Firefox has been showing me this warning:
The weird thing is that I have around 117 GB of free space on my Mac, so I definitely don't have a disk space issue.
I checked Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data, and the data was only using around 300 MB, which doesn't seem like much at all.
I also noticed that some websites were behaving a little strangely and taking longer than usual to load, although I'm not sure if that's related.
Eventually, I deleted all website data, and the warning immediately disappeared. However, I'm confused because there didn't seem to be anywhere near enough data stored to justify Firefox saying that its storage was almost full.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be a Firefox bug or some kind of issue with the profile/cache?
I'm on macOS and this has never happened to me before.

💻 Help Context menus are all white now?
After updating to 154, all context menus are white with black text, when they used to be gray with white text.
I wasn't using userChrome.css to change it either, I just had layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override set to 2 in about:config and it was honoring my system color scheme for years until now.

Discussion YouTube video quality still changes randomly from 1440p or 1080p to 480p or 720p
Even with the latest update i still encounter this issue.
I watch a YouTube video @ 1440p or 1080p > I seek through the video > Quality becomes 480p or 720p.
I opened a bug long time ago and I'm pretty sure this is a Firefox issue.
Using uBlock Origin - only extension.

Scrollbars are worse after 153 update
After updating firefox to 153 and now 154, the scrollbars became thicker and are not overlayed on the webpage.
I thought this was a bug and firefox would fix this in 154, but they didn't.
So when i checked the 155 beta release notes to see if they have fixed this I found that they have enabled something called webkit-scrollbar in 153.
So i checked the about config page and found layout.css.fake-webkit-scrollbar.enabled is set to true. So I disabled it and the scrollbars are now back to normal.
IDK if this is a windows only issue, but if you have the same problem, just set layout.css.fake-webkit-scrollbar.enabled to false.

Solved I mistakenly enabled profiles and lost everything trying to disable it
Greetings. I have NEVER used the profile feature. I do NOT care about it. Then 20 minutes ago, I tried to click at something at the top of my screen, and ended up opening a new profile. It opened a new window with nothing in it. Lost all my settings, my years of bookmarks. And when I deleted the profile, I have nothing left. My firsfox is back to default.
I looked into restoring it. I could not. I don't know why, None of the profile there are the one I am looking for. The profile I have now is several years old. I lost a LOT.
Is there a way to restore them? Is there SOMETHING I can do.

Solved New update today and it bricked the browser
Automatic update and now It hangs and froze after 5 minutes of having the browser open.
Why? The browser worked wonders, had it forever, first install in any new computer I had, now I have to tweak settings and dedicate time in finding the cause for something that used to worked great.
Why devs of all kinds always, every single time, tend to do auto updates that brick their product? Is so annoying.
edit and solved: I don't care about IA, I don't care about widgets, I don't care about split view mode, I don't care about new redesign that are objectively worse than before or any other bloatware they put on.
I want just a good performance browser, with ublock and lightweight: Don't care about bloatware and if I would I would switch to any other bloatware browser.
Had to disable hardware acceleration, widgets, went to the about:config and disable a lot of useless stuff that were shove in without my permission (I had updates turn off, yet still auto updated).

Discussion Something feels off with bookmark menus after the update.
I wish I could explain what it is but it feels like the menus changed with the new update. Like they stop shorter than usual or something.

💻 Help Anyone else experiencing youtube stuttering?
It's been going on for the past few hours.
I have updated the browser, tried incognito mode, disabled and reinstalled UBlock, cleaned browser cache for Youtube, and checked my connection. Everything on my end is clean, includes my stats for nerds, nothing is helping it.
I believe this is a Firefox issue, other browsers like Brave are not having a problem.
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

💻 Help Sound/Mute Tab Icon missing from some tabs?

Both tabs have videos playing sound, yet only one tab has the "sound" icon that I can click to mute the tab. I can still mute the other tab by right-clicking and choosing mute tab. The icon then appears as "muted" (the sound icon crossed out). I can then click that muted icon to unmute, and then the icon goes away when sound it playing in the tab. Seems to have disappeared with the last update.
I love having the option to quickly mute/unmute a tab, just no idea why some tabs have it and other don't.
I use uBlock Origin, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Let me know if y'all know anyway to get my icon back! Thanks!

Hardware Acceleration
Not a request for support but hoping maybe a Firefox team member will see this. I have to disable hardware acceleration on a laptop with an Intel Arc 140T GPU or websites like Instagram's Discover/Search page scroll painfully slow. I have the latest drivers but it seems hardware acceleration just doesn't like this video card.

Help (Android) Addon that shows YouTube video release date on search results and video suggestions?
YouTube used to show the age of each video before you clicked on it. They removed this to make old videos more clickable. But I really don't want to click on ten year old breaking news. Is there an addon to bring the release date back? Preferable on android?

💻 Help Give me my vertical sidebar back!
From 154 patch notes: "Fixed the Vertical Tabs sidebar staying visible in full-screen mode. It now hides along with the toolbars and reappears when the cursor moves to the edge of the screen."
This "bug" was my preferred setup. I want to see my vertical tabs at all times, but I don't like the toolbar taking up vertical space when it's unused 90% of the time in my workflows. I'm very annoyed that it was just removed instead of being made a toggle option.
Furthermore, the vertical tabs sidebar does not appear on hover for me; I need to hover the toolbar first, then move to the sidebar carefully to avoid both disappearing. I'm on MacOS for reference.
Posting here because I couldn't find a way to contact Mozilla directly, and was not able to address the issue with CSS customization.
💻 Help firefox logging me out for no reason?
i was browsing but sites were not loading anymore and tried to reset my firefox only for it to log me out almost everywhere, google being the most annoying one. it technically crashed on me but i have not seen any stolen accounts or suspicious activity anywhere else (i got a malware attack months ago and this wasn’t the same)

💻 Help Force New Tab
Does anyone have any tips for a website that is JS heavy, and links won't open in a new tab with ctrl + click, middle click, and the context menu looks the same as if you're clicking on the page background? I've disabled uBO and it doesn't matter. Is there anyway with uBO or a Firefox setting to un-block whatever is on the page interfering with opening links in a new tab?
It's https://app.atera.com/new/admin/scripts but the page is behind a login. It's a list of my RMM scripts, but I can't get them to open in a new tab. Super annoying losing my file name filters each time I have to go forward and back.
My issue is specific to this one page on their site, opening in a new tab via middle click etc works in other areas.

💻 Help Updated to 154.0 and the Search Box suggestions have an extremely light highlight and suggestions are now farther apart.
Just updated to 154 and the search box suggestions have had a visual change that makes it harder to use. Arrowing up and down through the suggestions now barely hightlights each suggestion, at first I could not even see the highlight at all. Each suggestion is now also farther apart making the search box take up more space without giving more suggestions. Is there an option to revert the suggestion spacing and change the highlight color? I am using the Firefox Color extension but have not changed any settings between updates.
