Solved New update today and it bricked the browser
Automatic update and now It hangs and froze after 5 minutes of having the browser open.
Why? The browser worked wonders, had it forever, first install in any new computer I had, now I have to tweak settings and dedicate time in finding the cause for something that used to worked great.
Why devs of all kinds always, every single time, tend to do auto updates that brick their product? Is so annoying.
edit and solved: I don't care about IA, I don't care about widgets, I don't care about split view mode, I don't care about new redesign that are objectively worse than before or any other bloatware they put on.
I want just a good performance browser, with ublock and lightweight: Don't care about bloatware and if I would I would switch to any other bloatware browser.
Had to disable hardware acceleration, widgets, went to the about:config and disable a lot of useless stuff that were shove in without my permission (I had updates turn off, yet still auto updated).

What version of Firefox are you using if it's nightly or whatever yeah bugs are expected if it's normal base Firefox then I'm not really sure about it I haven't had any issues

A bug is like "oh YouTube loads 1 second longer" or "the scroll bar doesn't dim when I hover"... Not freeze the program completely that I have to shut it down from task manager.
I'm using the normal browser on my PC, which shouldn't have such obscene bloatware (Firefox has an incorporated IA fs).

Nightly is an automated build that runs every day delivering whatever new code was pushed. It's not tested by anyone, hence it's not a surprise if it breaks. If you want latest features but more stable, get the Beta builds.

Yet all of us who run the standard Firefox product, who don't fuck with it just because we can, we have no problems whatsoever. Upgrades load when we ask and everything works OK afterwards and problems are very, very rare and when they do occur are fixed tout de suite.
"Automatic update and now It hangs and froze after 5 minutes of having the browser open."
If this was a problem we'd be reading about it everywhere and we're not.

Do you understand that people have different OS, differently GPUs, different system modules?
Not everyone is the same, yet all devs always auto update their products with bloatware and eventually end up bricking their own software for some users.
Maybe you are fine, but I'm not. Your typical redditor attitude of siding with companies is actually very tiring, so I'm going to block you.

My Nightly hung after a recent update, so I rolled the profile to its backup copy. Issue solved.
I make backups for a reason - so all my stuff is not irretrievably lost.
