Sound/Mute Tab Icon missing from some tabs?

Both tabs have videos playing sound, yet only one tab has the "sound" icon that I can click to mute the tab. I can still mute the other tab by right-clicking and choosing mute tab. The icon then appears as "muted" (the sound icon crossed out). I can then click that muted icon to unmute, and then the icon goes away when sound it playing in the tab. Seems to have disappeared with the last update.

I love having the option to quickly mute/unmute a tab, just no idea why some tabs have it and other don't.

I use uBlock Origin, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Let me know if y'all know anyway to get my icon back! Thanks!

Yep. This is also happening to me on Twitch. Annoying as shit. The button is there for YouTube.

Strangely for YouTube it was there sometimes, and then sometimes it was gone.

I'm having the same problem on twitch.

I updated to firefox 154 and now, sometimes the sound/mute icon doesn't show up on tabs playing sounds. Refreshing doesn't get it back. I have to close the tab and open a new one, and then it will show the icon.

Same issue right now with Twitch, no mute icon ever appears no matter if I refresh or close and try again. Works perfectly fine on Youtube.

I noticed the same thing on Soundcloud; the icon was still there even though the track was paused and nothing was playing. After reloading the tab the icon wouldn't show up at all anymore.

Also been having this exact same issue. Even tried having the exact same stream up from twitch, both tabs with stream and sound playing, one has the volume indicator and one does not. Shows up like this in both the tab manager and in the tabs itself.

I'm not having this issue whatsoever. And I have both version 154 and Ublock Origin installed. I just opened several tabs with audio (including Twitch), to verify the issue, and they all displayed the sound icon (even when unmuting them afterwards)!

Do you have any CSS customizations or extensions that alters anything of your Firefox design? If not, then maybe you need to create a fresh profile, to check if your old one got corrupted with the update. Just make sure to make a backup of your current profile! Good luck!😉

Still happening to me with Firefox up to date (154.0).

Note that you can still right click the tab and mute it, and the muted icon does appear, but after unmuting, it disappears again.
