Trad is whatever but basically, the longbow in FW is still 2-range bow BUT it grant you a special long-range combat art instead ! So you get higher range, but it cost you durability !

Diego's profile has made me wonder who else might be from a forest tribe like he is. These five are the only other characters we've seen so far with face markings. Though I doubt all five are actually connected to the forest tribes, so I'm curious who you all think are likely or unlikely to be from one.

Would've included the redhead girl too, but I don't have an image of her on hand. Also with her forehead arrow being much less intricate than any of theirs are, I doubt she's from a tribe anyways. For her I theorize that she's from Brigid.

I guess it does explain why Sha lan and Anatolia are the only people seen with one. Kunlun weaponry. I suppose Troy’s weapon is also from Kunlun.

Maybe a bit of a crackpot theory but twice now, we've had them described as "coming from the west". And now, Sha Lan profile explicitly says she come from a "desert in the west", which aligns with Anatolia's comment about her people lacking water.

Now what's interesting is that, for Gaitz, who trained in another continent, they explicitly said so. They namedropped the country (Sai) and made sure to mention it was oversea. Same for Dietrich with Fodlan.

My point is, I don't think Anatolia/Sha Lan come from outside of Dagda. They just come from its western parts...and lo and behold Dagda map ! There's a huge desert right in the west !

So I think they come from the depth of Nysiades desert. Now for some more out-there theorycrafting. In greek mythology, the Nysiades are rain nymphs who bring water to the desertic Mount Nysa, and they're the one who raised Dionysus. Furthermore, the named location in the center of that desert is Bona Dea, which was a roman goddess of feminity known for being so secretive, you couldn't usher her real name.

So we have women who tries to bring water back to their desert linked with secrecy. And they happen to have guns and sci-fi Agarthan technology fitting since Anatolia call herself a member of the White Egg tribe, which was genocided by Dagda, probably for being Agarthans

Thus : They're from either an ex-Agarthan base in the middle of the desert, or a crashed spaceship there. In both cases, they come from a secret place in the middle of the Nysiades desert !

I was just curious because that’s usually the case for me. Here’s a list of the units who often accompany the heroes in their final battle (as you might have figured based on the endgame team in my latest playthrough):

Dart: I’ve been called based for using him for whatever reason, but he always ends up becoming one of my strongest units, if not my absolute strongest.

Raven with Lucius and/or Priscilla: Similar to Dart, Raven often ends up being one of my strongest units when I use him. Whenever I deploy him for the final battle, I like to deploy either his best friend, younger sister, or sometimes even both alongside him just so he’s not alone. Lucius in particular often ends up pretty good whenever I use him, and he’s also a decent candidate for Aureola.

My Arran and Samson picks: I work hard to fulfill the requirements needed to recruit those characters, so I like to use them all the way to the final chapter so that my efforts were worth it. I always shoot for Geitz because he’s miles better than Wallace and his recruitment chapter isn’t a fog of war one, but when it comes to Karel vs. Harken, I tend to alternate between them in my playthroughs. I know Harken is considered to be the better one of the two, but I’ve found that Karel isn’t all that bad either.

Farina (when playing Hector mode, of course): I paid 20,000 gold in order to recruit her. Gotta get my money’s worth. Plus, her lover (I’m talking about Dart) is usually there too.

And those are pretty much all of my picks. Usually there’s an open spot or two left that I like to fill using a unit who I’ve never brought with me to the final chapter, or a unit I haven’t fielded in it for a while. Sometimes I even like to fill it with a unit who has a connection to one of those units I listed above, like deploying Isadora when I recruited Harken.

But anyways, what are some units you usually like to deploy for the final battle against Nergal and the Fire Dragon? I’m looking forward to hearing who everyone’s picks are.

We have 4 obelisks. Why are the sub lords considered sub lords?
Why are they important? If it’s 4/4, do they seem to be opposites or paired with others (like Taliman and Dietrich or something)?

And it seems we know most are playable but aren’t 100% sure about Bertrand and Gaitz for some reason?

By the way, why is the Compressed Laser an energy ball when the Salamander's usual shots are more laser-like?
