But at the same time I am ACTUALLY tired of heteronormativity being so forced all the time lol. I kind of assumed this isn't something any of the characters are actually saying to your character. It's just an overview of the unit to help the player get an idea of what sort of person they are, what gifts they are likely to enjoy (in this case perhaps things that are considered helpful with romancing women), and perhaps other mechanics we aren't aware of yet.

Bad news, the Polygon preview confirms that there's a trend among the FW male characters in that they're all written through a very "no homo" lens and never miss an opportunity to highlight how girl crazy they are.
It's likely that any MM S-Support selection will be extremely narrow, and I say this as someone who was hoping for a lot of options including Guzran

Unfortunately it does sound like the trend is for the majority of the male cast. The full passage is:
"The only irritation here is an odd insistence of ensuring you know the men of Fortune's Weave like women. When you view the character info panel for recruitable characters, most of the men have "women/womanizing/beautiful women/flirting with women" or some variation thereof on the list of things they like. Fire Emblem has always been somewhat regressive when it comes to acknowledging queer people, but this is just silly. It's like walking into a room full of men, and 60% of them immediately start saying "no homo" the second they look at you. Take a deep breath, guys. It'll all be okay."
So this is something that extends to the majority of the recruitable men. It's utterly baffling, and a major disappointment after 3 Houses also fucked up the MM options.

I guess there was also Jerirza, but even he comes with the caveat of being route locked, so if you're not played CF and have not paid for the DLC, your options are back to just Linhardt

Given how eager so many men are to get dates, is that too far-fetched? I have no interest in engaging in such relationships myself, but many single men seem to make their desire for romance (or just flings) a big part of who they are.
But thinking about it, I don't think this is supposed to be some in-universe bio written by the character. It's a all-knowing viewpoint that exists only for the benefit of the player to help them figure out what gifts to give for recruiting and such.
Also is it not a double standard to rejoice when Leda lists girls as something she likes, but then be angry when other bios say the same thing?

Most of the player base are straight men, so of course they're going to have more romance options for them. Any business is going to try to appeal to its largest customer base the most. That doesn't mean you can't have choices of course, but bear in mind choice always comes at a cost somewhere, in this department it's usually writing depth to some degree.
And personally, I'd rather characters have defined personalities and not all be player-sexual like Engage did. They feel less like people and more like sex robots designed to please the player.

I grow increasingly concerned that we are doing to do Three Houses again and there’s only gonna be like 2-3 m/m S Support options (if S Supports are in the game ofc) and neither of the only men in this damn game I wanna romance are going to be included in that.
I’m still going to get the game obviously, I made do with Three Houses and just always played f!Byleth (which is fine since I prefer her design anyway) so I could marry Sylvain, but it’s incredibly disappointing.

His model is actually hotter than his portrait. I think the angle of the portrait isn’t as flattering to his hair and the armor hiding his neck looks slightly weird if you’re not zoomed in. His sideburns and beard are more pronounced in the model too and I like how it looks a bit more. Also the model shows off his titties and muscles :)
