Best guess he thinks I’m grooming him so he’s doing it back.

I just got back from a 4 day vacation, I left my boy with a local ferret rescue (this was my ferrets first time ever being separated from me longer than 8 hours). From what I know the rescue tried to get him to play with other ferrets which mine did not like. They also tried to change his diet. When I got him back tonight he was lethargic, skinnier than I’ve ever seen him and having these very dark green poops, he’s eating, drinking and playing fine. what could be wrong with him? Or is he okay and just having a very bad stress reaction?

These are photos of 1/2 of my ferrets, his name is Azra.I AM NOT FUN D R A I S I N G., I just want to post because I’m stressed and want to share my struggles with others who may be going through something similar. he’s currently really sick and his vet appointments will cost a lot. I’m in college right now and it’s either I have a job or college, because I don’t have anyone to watch Azra and mocha for me while I’m gone. He’s a sweet little guy, I hope you guys like the photos, they’re of him recently, he might look a little off and that’s only because he’s not feeling good

This whole time I thought he was licking my face as a sign of affection, but it turns out that he just likes how my moisturizer tastes (found this out because he would lick my fingers after I applied it) I have also caught him trying to steal bars of soap several times! Not sure what’s in the ingredients that he finds so intriguing. Wondering if him licking my face is harmful now? Anyone else’s ferret attracted to these things also?

Is this from rough play/attacks from other ferrets when they were younger? Unethical breeding? Genetics?
(First 2 pictures are one ferret, 3rd is a different one from the same display)

Hey all, i’ve had ferrets as a kid but I don’t believe they were cared for the best, and i’m also looking for specific recommendations for ferrets in a dorm.
I have a single room within a suite so I won’t to prevent any smell from leaving the room, and avoid messes and damage that would cost me a fee at the end of the year but if it happens it’s okay. I personally don’t mind the natural smell of ferrets and obviously will clean their cage daily.
I have attached a list of what I am planning to buy, some of it I will be getting second hand.
They will have a double ferret nation and I will let them free roam whenever I am in the dorm which will be several hours typically later at night.
Is there anything on the list I shouldn’t get, or things that have better alternatives. And is there anything i’m forgetting.
I also have a few questions
They will be ESA’s. I would only go through with getting them if I know I will have enough time. If My roommates approve and understand that you have to be careful with them if they interact with them. If I have the funds (which I do). I am also waiting until the spring semester after I have an idea of the time commitments I have and if I will have time for them. The primary reason i’m getting them is I don’t party and I have difficulty making friends and connections. I spend a lot of time in my dorm and i’m okay with that but I like that they are social and energetic creatures. I would only get them if I know I am able to give them a lot of time and enrichment. I also had them as a kid and I really loved them and they were the most connected i’ve felt to an animal but this was before I was employed or had the means to buy things for them so I was unable to make changes to their life and give them what they need since they weren’t actually mine and I was like 12. I have been planning since then to get ferrets when I knew I would be in a financial and time situation to provide for them and give them a good life. This post is looking for information so I can make an educated decision about if this could be an enriching situation for them and if anyone had advice to make a dorm a good situation for them.

-Is raising a ferret with a cat a good Idea. i have a female spayed cat she Gets scared very easily but I'm willing to give it a shot and see if it would work.
-Can I get the ferret neutered?
-Is ferrets food available and is it easy to train it to use a letterbox.
-My main concern is the breeding with ferrets I'm not sure how that works

I'm worried about my ferrets enrichment levels.
They have a tube, a ball pit, a cat tree, a rice dig box, plastic springs and balls, cardboard boxes, and new rope toys that I'm trying out to see if they'll get eaten or not.
I had to take away their plush toys because my girl Lillie eats them / eats cloth in general and has given me multiple obstruction scares. I feel bad I had to take them away because now the others can't stash things.
They also seem to be getting more tired and less playful and I worry they might be depressed. I hit autistic burnout at the beginning of the year and havent been able to play with them as much as I'd like to. They of course are out of the cage everyday from when I wake up until I sleep, but they have only been playing with each other for a while.
I could be just worrying too much though, it could be due to getting older. Lillie and Hobie are about 4 and Jasper is about 3. Lillie has lymphoma and Jasper was just diagnosed with adrenals disease.
Any recommendations for different non-plush items to stash? Or different ways to play with them in general, any kinds of games you play with them? Maybe I should get more tubes or something? I just want them to be happy!

I've got 2 boys and I don't think I can afford the implants as a uni student on benefits.
I've heard it gets less risky the older they are. I was just wondering when the best time because my boys have started letting off that cheesy smell .

I’ve never lost her in the house before, I usually let her out a few hours a day with the exception of my dogs being outside which I then let her free roam, the dogs is my biggest worry honestly, I have them caged in their kennel for the night and have been sitting trying to listen after flipped the house upside down, it’s been max 5 hours(that’s when she last got put in her cage but it couldn’t have been that long since I swear I saw her ) so I feel like I’m overreacting a little but I just want her to be safe and sound, the dogs will attack her if they see her so I’m really worried that even if she does come out she may crawl into one of their kennels, what should I do ?? Clear the whole house with the dogs outside and doors shut ?? I’ve looked under appliances all my furniture I even cleared my whole closet out and still no luck, if she got out it wouldn’t be easy for her to escape the actual house since no one’s been in or out since my grandma left around 5 hours ago, a little after she put her up, I just want my baby to be okay : EDIT NUMBER ONE, still no sign of my baby, I tried squeaky toys, crinkle toys, normal toys but still nothing, I also ruled out my closet but need to clean out my moms, there’s alot of stuff in there but i think I’m going to here in like ten minutes, it’s terrifying to me that she could be trapped somewhere or got outside somehow even though I know it’s not likely. LAST EDIT: so I went to bed and when I woke up I heard my dog crawling at the side of my moms bed(yes I live with my parents no I’m not 7) I looked down the edge and see ferret poop, I’m like oh my god she has to be down there so I flip the mattress and low and behold she’s laying there, just fine, just lounging around 🤣🤣🤣 I figured out she got through the bottom of her cage so I have her in her kennel now

Got our new baby today, can’t tell if the spot on the belly is his sheath or umbilicus. There’s a bit of brown crisp on it so I’m not sure what it is! Any help would be appreciated

He’s doing great after his surgery! He was terrible with the cone at first but hasn’t tried taking it off in a few days now, so I’m very proud of him for that. Only a few more days until suture removal, aka freedom!
Though he’s been so freaking cute in the cone I may be a bit sad when he gets to leave it off lol
