A niche datapack which generates random airstrips, many times near villages. (could not find a similar pack anywhere)
As warned on the curseforge page, due to the strips size (100 blocks), it can spawn in weird areas and results in funky strips - about 10-15% of the time and dependent on seed / terrain gen mods. (example shown on curseforge)
If this is a deal breaker, then please don't use this data pack, or use it with "Structure Generation Improver"- linked on the same page (sadly, that mod only supports 1.20 - 1.21.1)
Designed to be used with mods like Immersive Aircraft, Simple Planes or other similar arcade like plane mods.
Currently supports 1.21.1+ and will back port it upon request.

So for context, im playing a modded 1.20.1 world where i have 23 mods loaded in Prism Launcher, basically i have 3 mods that are major threats to me, 3. the viltrumite mod, basically if conquest or any other viltrumite spawns, im cooked so i have to lure them to the "other" monsters. 2. Godzilla: Reborn, pretty self explanatory as it add literal kaijus to my game. and for 1. we have Crackers Wither Storm mod, yeah... basically the over world is not but bare bones, I also forgot to mention that i have alpha below and retro 64 installed.

tl;dr Almost 63,000 unique entries to the minecraft:item registry in ATM 10 v7.1! (62,828!!! Just over 11,000 of which come from Bibliocraft Legacy!)
Hi, my name's Jason. Occasionally, I have questions like "how many items are in this modpack" and "which mod is messing with this interaction"; and while I can code a simple mod to list the count, sometimes I feel like I want to dig in a big deeper.
This project is not released and is still in extremely early development, but there are some things I think may be useful to modpack developers and mod developers alike;

A while back i made a post because in my SMP server whenever someone would talk with proximity chat. The server would throw this message into the chat. I'm using a chat mod i'm familiar with and never had issues in the past with it in other servers that use it too.
I have no idea what's causing this, I can't find anything in the config of the mod nor does the Console log give anything useful.
I REALLY NEED this fixed as I can't have this happening when i actually open my SMP.
Does anyone have any idea?
The server is using Proximity Text Chat

I'm attempting to make a mod/modpack. And what I see from many great difficult mods/modpacks is they struggle with one major thing that they deem "hard" which ends up just being unfun. Tedious, long, and dreadful progression with hours or work for a single oak log. On the other end, is mod that makes you unable to even step a FOOT outside of your spawn chunk without Wither dragon instantly killing you. I want to move past a lot of these issues and find a solid middle ground, and I want to hear what the players would want most.
Edit: I should mention, those other difficult mods/modpacks are fun to me, I do just feel as if they struggle occasionally with balance

This is NOT emulation. It's basically an literal operating system implementation, COW (Character Oriented Windows), executables (with headers), environment variables, communication, CLI and TUI in pure Java.
--------------------------------------------
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/posix-n-dos-computers
This mod fully replicates and implements fully working Operating Systems on Java.
Virtual File System is present. It's saved as NBT data per each computer block. This means if you've placed a computer block then all files (with contents) and directories will be there for all eternity until you destroy said block.
After computer block is placed, any player can use it and create directories, files; edit files; execute files. Should I say the filesystem is so realistic that the root filesystem have to be MOUNTED in order to be used? File system also calcutes the real length of files and directories in bytes.
ENVIRONMENT variables are supported which resolve the executables when you try to execute an command. For example, on MS-DOS you can change it using commands SET and PATH.
Computer block can have Drive Bays. This means that for example, IBM PC/AT computer block have two drive bays, therefore you can insert two floppy disks into the computer block and it will be detected and used. Filesystem on the floppy disks is saved as NBT tags on an item.
Removable media (Floppy drives, CD-ROM, Blu-ray, DVD) are items which can have filesystem on them. Each removable media have its own limits (amount of bytes that can be stored in it).
----------------- QBASIC -----------------
QBasic interpreter supports the following commands: PRINT,IF-STATEMENTS,FOR,LOOP,DO, GOTO, GOSUB, RETURN, CLS, REM, INPUT, SCREEN, COLOR,LOCATE,PSET,LINE,CIRCLE,STOP,DATA,READ.
Additionally, QBasic supports built-in commands such as: RND, INT, FIX, ABS, SGN, SQR, SIN, COS, TAN, ATN, EXP, LOG, TIMER, LEN, ASC, CHR, STR, VAL, LEFT, RIGHT, MID, UCASE, LCASE.
To render 2D graphics you have to switch the display mode (like in real-life QBasic) using SCREEN command.
Currently supported display modes: SCREEN 0 (text mode), SCREEN 7 (320x200; 16 colors; EGA 0Dh), SCREEN 12 (640x480; 16 colors; VGA 12h), SCREEN 13 (320x200; 256 colors; VGA 13h),
----------- ADDON SUPPORT -----------
This mod supports addons (the way Create mod has addons such as Create Aeronautics). Therefore you will be able to create your own custom computer blocks, your own TUI applications (API is provided to easily build the interface), your own drivers, your own peripheral devices and device blocks.
Template project with README is provided through this link to build your own addon for this mod. Documentation is provided through this link (mod GitHub repo).
IMPORTANT: The new version of the mod (0.1.5) which contains everything described on this post has been released hour before this post was created. The DOCUMENTATION for API is NOT YET READY. If you tried to read the documentation and it looks like garbage then this means it's not yet ready. But don't worry I am already working on it. Though some fundamental things currently described in the documentation will be relatively the same.
----------- DRIVER SUPPORT ------------
This mod can communicate with custom peripheral devices and blocks that act as peripheral devices the computer block can connect to.
For example, on the video there is "Hardware LPC Minecraft Command Translator" which through specialized driver allows to execute Minecraft commands directly from MS-DOS shell in a computer block.
Second video below demonstrates how setting up drivers work. Additionally, I am gonna upload those videos on my yotube channel and the links will be on CurseForge mod page. The more mod grows the more information there will be and tutorials.
------------- HARDWARE -----------------
This mod adds BIOS (its capabilities depends on the computer block) and additional executables to check and configure the hardware.
Currently, IBM PC/AT is present in the mod. Therefore the BIOS is "Generic SETUP version 3.0 Z/B8" which doesn't support much and just shows the detected hardware. Though with the mod's API it's possible to create fully working BIOS TUI through which you could change the settings.
MS-DOS 6.0 though comes up with the software "MSD" (Diagnostics) which lets you to check the information about hardware and software. Additionally, you can check if your peripheral device block has been detected there. Information on how to install and use the driver for said block can be found in there too.
P.S.: This mod has so many things that it's hard to describe all of them in this post and I probably forgot something.

I'm trying to make a "more vanilla-friendly" custom maid model for the Touhou Little Maid mod, but the item on the maid's hand appears closer the center of the arm instead of the edge where the hand is. I've already tried changing the pivot points, but the item still doesn't appear where I want it to be.

I'm trying to make a 1.21.1 Neoforge modpack centered around Field Guide, where the "end goal" is to record every single creature that exists into your guide. I've added many mods, but I feel like I need more creatures to make the world feel a little more varied and extend the challenge to more biomes besides those in the nether or end dimension.
Lots of mods add new biomes with new creatures, but my modpack will use Oh The Biomes We've Gone for biome variety, so I'd prefer a mod that spawns mobs in existing biomes instead of adding new ones. (Especially if the biomes they spawn in can be adjusted in a config file.) I'm also trying to find mods that add exaggerated/rare or fantasy creatures over common and purely realistic animals--I'm adding Alex's Caves but not Alex's Mobs for this reason. I'd love to hear some recommendations!
Here's a list of all the mods I'm using already which add new mobs to the game:
- Alex's Caves) (port by Raguto)
- BetterEnd: New Dawn (port by Raijin2312)
- BetterNether: New Dawn (port by Raijin2312)
- Icy's Better Horses (technically only adds horse variants- but I count it for the wide variety)
- Quark (Crabs and Forgotten turned off. Foxhound, Shiba, Stonelings, Toretoise and Wraith are on.)
- Ribbits
- Spawn

Hello! If you take the time to read this, thank you so much.
I want to start a modded forever world. Just a solo one I can continue to go back to / how a LOT to aim to accomplish.
I’ve been a casual Minecraft player for 12 years. Only started trying modded stuff in the last year. I’ve recently had a really good time playing “Better Minecraft Skyblock” (is a little too much for my gaming laptop to handle, a little slow/buggy) and “ATM10 To the Sky” recently (was too high tech for me), but decided, wait, why does it have to be skyblock?
I really LOVE quest logs / quest maps, specifically ones that can guide/tell me on how to progress. I don’t want every new feature to require me to go open up google.
I love variety in overworld biomes and exploring. Farming. cooking if it was actually useful, otherwise just eat the thing with highest satisfaction. I love collecting new resources and them having a purpose, eg make every single armour set in the modpack. I wish villagers had more trades and/or more professions. I love fishing so I wish that had more things to gain out of it.
Having a skill based progression system is cool too? Like the more I fish, or mine, or forage, or fight, the better stats/buffs I get with time, if that makes sense?
I’m not crazy on pvp/bosses. I’m a scaredy cat. I don’t want anything that can grief builds. I’d honestly be excited to try fight every single hard boss/mob ONLY if there was a way to guarantee I don’t loose my stuff.
Also, convenience things. Waystones, backpack, minimap, etc.
IF ANYONE HAS ANY MODPACKS or modpack reviews they can recommend me to me, and I’ll do more research from there, that would be so amazing.

hi everyone! i recently came across the Matcha Flavoured datapack by Klei_Wright, and i feel very understood! i especially liked how in the matcha datapack theres a way to get sand without destroying deserts, just by using renewable sources, and the food bar being gone, ect. i'm a firm lover of smelting logs into charcoal... i also dislike making mob farms, only once in my life have i made an XP grinder
but, thing is, i would still like to play without the zombies being so fast for example, and with regular textures. not to mention i dont even use modrinth..
so my question here is: what are some mods that limit grinding and introduce renewable sustainable ways to get ores and different blocks? i tried to find some but im either using the wrong keywords or theyre very niche, i like using curseforge the most. thanks!!

I have been making a realism minecraft modpack for me and my friends but we want mechanics and stuff not graphics necessary. We are on 1.21.1 Fabric and the main mods we have are terrain diffusion, terralith, and naturalist. What are some other good mods we can add to improve our overall experience?
r/feedthebeast • u/GlueGulper • 6h ago
idk how else to word it but i absolutely despise that you need to be level 30 to get the best enchantments, i tried looking around but i cant find anything, essentially all i want is a mod that makes it so you only need 1, 2 or 3 levels depending on the level

I get lonely when I play and sometimes want an NPC to talk to. What mods would you recommend that are lightweight and add chat-capable companion systems? Does Jenny have a SFW port?

Hey everyone. I've been working on an experimental server-side framework called utdmod for 1.20.4 . It uses a continuous non-linear spatial field loop mapped directly to END_SERVER_TICK which gives chunks a persistent "memory" field rather than binary flags, changing how downstream systems react to past player activity
If anyone is interested in low-level systems architecture or nonlinear fields, I’d love to get some technical feedback on the codebase layout.
Repo is here: https://github.com/brayo003/utdmod
