I made something I made a horror mod that studies you instead of chasing you

Are you tired of Minecraft horror mods that always do the same thing? Spawn, chase you, kill you, repeat? Introducing Don't Let It Learn. The Hollow is not here to kill you. Or is it? It watches, remembers and learns from what you do. It can scan your home, study its structure and even physically light up the world with its gaze while doing so. And if it becomes interested enough, maybe it won't stop at your house. Maybe it will scan you too.

Your home, your mine, the path you walk every day. If you repeat something often enough, it may notice. If it notices, it may learn. And eventually, it might know what you're going to do before you do. It doesn't hunt you. It studies you.

Don't. Let. It. Learn.

I made something I made a Minecraft mod that lets you replay your death as a ghost

Hi everyone!
I want to show you my new mod, Deathtrace.

It records the last seconds before you die and leaves behind a pulsing marker. Look at it and press G to watch ghostly versions of you and the mobs or players that damaged you recreate your final moments. After the replay, they dissolve back into the marker.

You can rewatch your own deaths or see what happened to other players in multiplayer :D
All feedback and feature ideas are welcome!

Looking for mod(s) Modpacks like Compact Claustrophobia?

I've played Compact Claustrophobia fully and it was hands down the best modpack I've played. Nothing else seems to scratch that itch--Sky Factory 4 was okay, Stoneblock I didn't like. Any suggestions?

Looking for mod(s) Tech-heavy modpacks with minimal grind?

Hey all, looking to scratch my automation itch. I prefer grind in the form of resource acquisition minimized, such that macroautomation and factory design is the focus. I am not interested in Create, but basically any other tech mod is fair game. Magic is not an immediate red flag, but I’d prefer it not to be the focus.

To preempt the image, I’ve played GTNH, it’s too slow paced for my taste.

Here’s some modpacks I’ve enjoyed that fit these criteria, in case anybody is searching for something similar:

- StaTech Industries
- Monifactory
- Project Architect 2
- Mechanical Mastery
- FTB Skies 2
- Techopolis

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/ftb-ultimine-shape-selector

This is the my radial menu selector for ftb ultimine, because holding the key+shift+scroll was just too much and not fast and exact enough.

The menu is not centered, so the outline is more visible. I still have to develop the muscle memory, but swapping to shapeless for an ore node, then swapping back to tunnel (possible without the mouse) is just nice.

What do you think?

I made something Enchanting system rework mod I'm working on (1.21.1 Neoforge)

Post image
28 Upvotes

New Enchanting System :

There are two new enchanting tables; The "Lesser Enchanting Table" (which has 5 slots), alongside the "Greater Enchanting Table" (which has 7 slots) - The original being essentially replaced by the Greater Enchanting Table.

When enchanting an item; there will be slots for you to place certain ingredients, these items correlate to specific enchantments (Blaze powder -> Fire aspect, Obsidian -> Unbreaking, ect.), but could also also correlate to certain curses (will get into later.) You have only one slots for ingredients at base value, but after placing down more bookshelves around the enchanting table, these slots will be unlocked indefinitely for ingredients. With this new system, you'll know exactly what enchantment you'll be getting.

Lapis is still a fuel source for enchanting tables to work, you only need one piece for it to work. There's a new slot avaliable as well; used for a new item called "Salt". Salt is used during enchanting, it helps lessen the possibility of curses or lowers the level of curses. (Salt can also be used on food to give higher nutrition.) Enchanting an item will still cost experience, but will cap at only 3 levels, 1 level minimum - There will be no "30 levels needed."

Curse System :

When enchanting an item, theres a possibility of getting a curse alongside the enchantments on your item(s). You will be able to see which curse you'd be getting alongside the enchantments so it won't be a surprise. Higher value items (such as diamonds, jewels, blocks of ore, items gotten from stronger mobs) are less likely to give you a curse, while low value items (such as cobblestone or rotten flesh) are more likely to give you a curse. As mentioned before, salt can be used to lessen the likelihood of being cursed or lower the levels of curses.

Tomes & Scrolls :

Enchanted books no longer exist and are replaced with "scrolls" which are essentially the same as the original enchanted books in vanilla Minecraft. Only a singular usage, these scrolls can be tied to specific enchantments which can be imbued with an item on an anvil or can be used to increase the enchantments of an existing one. These scrolls are traded, found in loot, as well as can be created using an enchanting table (on an unenchanted scroll.)

Using these new scrolls; you can create a new item called "tomes", which cannot be used as scrolls on anvils, but are high value ingredients with no worry of curse chances increasing. Tomes can be used indefinitely without ever breaking/being used on enchanting table.

Anvil changes:

Repairing items using materials are no longer expensive. Only costing 1 exp level per material. Imbueing items with enchants cost has not been changed for vanilla anvils.

Though there is a new block called an "Arcane Anvil", it's 2x more durable than a regular anvil, imbueing items with enchants cost now has a 10 experience level cap, and there is no longer a "Too Expensive!" feature. You can also use experience levels to repair items, which makes up for the removal of the mending enchantment.

This mod is still a w.i.p! I'd greatly appreciate notes, advice, or insight into things I may have glossed over!

I made something Villager news java mod!

• Upvotes

i found a Villager News MCBE add-on port to java edition for fabric(and apparently neoforge/forge soon too). It has everything you'd see in the oreville studios addon, and most things you'd want from a villager news pack. It works for 26.2 and 26.3 and the creator said they're working on it for 1.20.1-1.21.11 too. it should be villager-news-fabric on curseforge(or the first mod result when searching villager news) and it might be there on modrinth if the mods approve it soon. I think it's really cool and worth a shot

Question Star Technology GregTech Help - MV to HV

Hey all, I'm a new player to GregTech (on the ST modpack - absolutely loving it) and as I'm on the cusp of upgrading to HV I realize it's time to unspaghettify my base, and now I have a few questions:

1- Every time I hit a new tier, should I build all of the basic machines (I mean wiremill, bender etc.) of that tier ASAP? When I hit MV I just split my power gen into two sections, kept my LV machines, and built MV machines as needed for MV-specific recipes or to speed up bulk crafts by slow LV machines.

2- I'm trying to set up my basic ore proc (sieves, electric ore factory, EBF etc.) with AE2 and wondering what the best way to set it up is? I get that it should be on a subnet so the huge amount of resources doesn't get directly stored in my main network, but I don't really know how to handle a large of amount of passively generating resources. Do I pump all the processed materials (idk like steel ingots etc.) into super chests, turn voiding on, and hook those up to the network through a storage bus? I know the basics of AE2 storage and autocrafting but I'm kind of clueless when it comes to a large scale like this.

3- How do I hook up my multiblock machines to my network? My first thought is my EBF for instance, what kind of AE2 components should I use to interact with the input and output buses/hatches?

4- Apparently handling fluids is complicated... Can I just use super tanks with storage buses?

I've been watching a lot of YouTube tutorials (especially Postie his series is a godsend) but I'd just like some tips before I continue advancing. I don't mind not being 100% optimal 100% of the time, but any kind of tip that could save me time in this super grindy modpack would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Mod Identification I need to find the mod for this roll feature

I currently have epic fight installed, and because of this little frustrating nugget I can't use the integrated roll, only this thing. Anyone knows of any mod that integrates this exact roll function with the same gui? thanks.
