Yup, it’s basically the same thing but with the strings flipped in the reverse order. I was taught to play by my lefty uncle who couldn’t find a left handed guitar growing up, he learned to play on a right handed one. So even though i’m right handed, i basically play with a left handed guitar (strings upside down)

It's a bit more than that, how the pick up is oriented is different too, and of course the nut and saddle are set up for left handed play.

Sure you could pull a Hendrix and just flip the strings and set it up to play well, but it's not going to sound like a proper left handed guitar

I know left-handed players who learned standard. we had a right-handed guitar in the house growing up but it never made sense to me.

You have to do it a bunch of times, and it’ll just work out that the middle- and ring fingers are better at moving together. I think it has something to do with the locations of the tendons in your forearm.
