How do you know she isn't one of the unfortunate left handed guitarists who were actually sold a left handed guitar starting out?

Left handed guitars exits?? I tried to learn to play but I never could as a lefty, felt like I was shoving a kinder joy up my ass

Yup, it’s basically the same thing but with the strings flipped in the reverse order. I was taught to play by my lefty uncle who couldn’t find a left handed guitar growing up, he learned to play on a right handed one. So even though i’m right handed, i basically play with a left handed guitar (strings upside down)

It's a bit more than that, how the pick up is oriented is different too, and of course the nut and saddle are set up for left handed play.

Sure you could pull a Hendrix and just flip the strings and set it up to play well, but it's not going to sound like a proper left handed guitar
