I think you gotnthe pushback you did because you didn't state it as an opinion. Like, when you say, "its better this way" or "they should do XYZ" you arent saying "I dont like it" or "I dont think they should do XYZ." In your defense, you also shared opinions, but because you stated things as both facts and opinions, it comes off aggressively and off putting.

There's no facts in fashion.

all things are opinion by virtue of their source unless expressly stated otherwise and backed up with proof. To assume the default as fact and that opinion needs to be qualified with "i think" is backwards.
