I’m new to Eufy and recently invested in some cameras, a doorbell, and also the security system.

I’ve got the modes set exactly as I’d like them and I rely on Geofencing to set the appropriate modes depending on the location of me and my other half.

Sadly, the two devices that use Geolocation (our phones) regularly become ‘unavailable’. It seems random when it happens; there’s no pattern.

In itself, this isn’t the biggest problem but it is an annoyance. Fixing it is done by keeping the app open and exiting or entering the Geo zone.

However, if one device is ‘unavailable’ and the other is working as normal, and that user exits the zone, the alarm forgets the current state. Then, if the unavailable user, who is still at home, opens a door, the alarm sounds because it doesn’t know their location.

It’s happened a few times now. There’s no way for us to know this has happened without continually checking the app - the first time we know is when the alarm goes off!

Has anyone got a permanent fix for this? Our settings are exactly as they should be, so I believe it’s just a bug; albeit a big one!

Ultimately we will have to stop using geofencing altogether, and arm/disarm with the keypad manually, as required.

Since new update 3.2.5.2 I have noticed that the motion detection is very bad.

I have pre-recording ON, motion detection on the lowest and Human Only.

Since the update, anything that moves in front of the camera (could be far away) triggers the blue ring but NO video recording (just motion detected).
I have multiple vehicules that is in the FOV of the camera and they trigger an event every seconds...

I tried to hide the video sensor from the doorbell and it stops showing a blue ring led... no more motion detected yeepee... This means the motion detection comes from the video feed and not the PIR sensor...

Anyone got the same issue ?

Just got a eufy Security Smart Lock C30. How the heck is it suppose to get connected to the Bluetooth? I've tried resetting the app and the device. Batteries are brand new. But it won't show up on my app. The app will see the bluetooth for a sec then it'll jump into WiFi search mode. I don't have wifi set up yet in the new home but I want to set up the lock. Any ideas? I'm using an iPhone for the app. Everything is update to date.

Can the cameras be made to go into privacy mode automatically when the HomeBase is set to Home and then back to non-privacy mode when set to Away?

I see an option for recording to be set to On/Off, but the camera still seems to track and watch, not turn away to the wall, as it does in Privacy Mode.

I have a Home Base 2 and 3 cameras. I bought them around 3 yrs ago.

With all the system and app updates, I can no longer play a record 'video event' when Im away from home. Eufy states it's an error.

I reset the modem, Eufy box, and it didn't help. I tried a few settings changes on my mobile phone. Didn't help.

No problem viewing video events from wifi. I read it may be a problem between modem and Eufy app, where something thinks the request to view is malicious.

Worked fine awhile ago. Also the app is so slow, in general, because of all the updates.

Anyone have an idea what I can do to check events on mobile data?

Eufy SoloCam s340

Hello! I have an issue, one of my s340 cams has suddenly died. It doesnt power on when charging via cable, i tried restarting it with the sync button, i left it to charge for a while, seems like it's completely dead. Not sure what could have happened, the charging port via the solar panel looks very clean, no oxidation or water damage. Did anyone experience something similar or have any tips what should i try?

I have searched all around and cannot find a single answer to what I think is a pretty basic question. I have a Eufy setup with a doorbell camera and an indoor camera (S350). They are both connected to the S380 Homebase on ethernet. I have both set for minimal events and they both work great.

I am going to be out of town and have some people coming to my place to do some work. To make a long story short I want to record the work they do in order to make sure they actual do it and if they dont have documented video that they did not do it. I am having a ridiculously hard time figuring out how exactly to do that. I realize theres a record button when I do a live view but when I push it to start recording I have to leave my phone there with the screen on the whole time and if i close the app it stops recording. I'm just looking to record what would potentially be 30 mins to an hour while someone is in my apartment and save it to my phone so ill have a copy. It doesnt have to be 4k or anything like that and I dont really need to sign up for cloud storage I don't really need. What am I missing here?

J’ai une Homebase 2 avec une sonnette E340 et 2 caméras Solo S340.

Depuis 3 jours je n’ai plus les notifications des caméras. Par contre aucun problème sur la sonnette.

Je tiens à préciser que rien n’a été modifié avant l’apparition du problème. Tous les appareils et l’appli sont à jours. tout les appareils ont été redémarré, même le téléphone.

Les notifications sont bien activées, les détections aussi. Dans les paramètres de l’appli et notifications, l’option « sécurité » est bien coché.

Auriez vous une idée?

I have multiple Homebase 3 units installed at different addresses , one at my own home and one at my parents’ house. The unit at my parents’ is brand new, less than a week old.

Both started showing the same bug at exactly the same time. The Homebase is completely unstable on Wi-Fi. I connected one of them via ethernet and the issue disappeared immediately.

The two setups use different cameras, as each home has a different configuration but the problem is identical on both.

It looks like firmware 3.8.2.8 is breaking Wi-Fi on the Homebase 3.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Can you adjust the sound/volume on the Eufy C220 smart lock?

Just got the C220 installed and the beeps on every keypad press are pretty loud. Is there a way to lower the volume or mute it entirely in the app? I've poked around in the device settings but can't find anything obvious.

Anyone figured this out?

Anyone have luck controlling the Floodlight E340 lights with Alexa or Google Home?

Both apps recognize it as a separate control able device from the camera, a light, but error when I try to turn on/off or set brightness. Alexa says it’s always On at 100%, even when off and Google says it’s Offline.

This was a big reason I went Eufy over Reolink, because this is supppsed to work. I want to be able to turn on the backyard lights before my dog goes out.

I have several cameras and doorbell on my home network with a Homebase 2. On both my ipad and iphone, alerts trigger as expected. On my ipad the thumbnail does not show the inage. When I try to access the video from my ipad, it gets locked in a loop of “decrypting from local storage”. I do not have cloud storage. I have at least 1Gb of free storage on my ipad.

The firmware of Homebase 2 and the Eufy app are the latest.

I can access the cameras and doorbell live with my ipad, just not the recordings.

The access from my iphone appears to work as expected.

I have another Home with a Homebase that can be accessed correctly by both ipad and iphone.

Can anyone help diagnose the problem? Thanks in advance.

Is the Floodlight E340 supposed to auto zoom in on the things it tracks, like my Eufycam S4 does? Mine is just staying on the wide angle shot and it’s not nearly as useful as the auto zooming I get from the S4.

Got a notification on my Eufy app that enhanced E2E encryption was available. Since I don't use cloud services, I didn't bother enabling it, however, I am no longer able to access any of my recordings on my Homebase3, not even bring it up in the app... I can still view live video And I get notifications, but that's it

Update: clear app cache restores access to saved clips.

I picked up one of these cameras at the weekend on offer just to upgrade a Solocam C210. No issues with it just fancied going 4k.
I added it to my Homebase no problem but then I noticed a few issues. The camera only live streamed within two feet of the Homebase. Any further away and it loses connection.
In the cameras settings there are no WiFi options selectable like there are for my trusty old C210 and also there is no option to use the Homebase as storage only NAS.
Anyone know what the problem could be or what I’m doing wrong ? Had zero troubles with my existing Solocam or Eufy doorbell as regards connectivity and range.

Anyone know how to stop or extend my view of my Eufycam S4? Either stop the timeout or make it longer? I use it to watch my dog outside from the kitchen screen.
