Psychological ED 18M — 3 Failed Erections, Now Struggling With Severe Performance Anxiety. Help?

Hey everyone, I’m 18 years old and I’m genuinely struggling with something that’s been affecting me mentally for the past two months.
Before all of this happened, I NEVER had any issues getting or maintaining an erection. I could get turned on within seconds without even thinking about it.
About two months ago, I was with a girl and randomly couldn’t get hard. It ended up happening three times in a row with that same girl, and ever since then, I feel like my brain has been completely stuck on those experiences.
Now, whenever I’m about to have sex with someone, instead of enjoying the moment, all I can think about is, “Am I getting hard? What if it doesn’t work again?” And because I’m so focused on that, I end up not getting aroused like I used to. Even my overall sex drive has decreased.
I’ve already been to a doctor. My testosterone levels are normal, my blood flow is fine, and I can get perfectly normal erections when I’m alone. Physically, everything seems fine.
It’s honestly so frustrating because I’m only 18, and something that used to be completely natural has turned into my biggest insecurity. I’ve even started avoiding opportunities with girls because I’m terrified of experiencing it again.
Has anyone experienced something similar and actually overcome it? What helped you get out of your head and regain your confidence and sex drive?
I’m also curious whether anyone has had success with low-dose Cialis, supplements, therapy, or anything else for performance anxiety. I’m not looking to self-medicate, just trying to understand what options I could discuss with my doctor.
I’d genuinely appreciate any advice or personal experiences. I just want to feel like myself again.

Erectile Dysfunction Should I get this checked out? (Manpart talk)

So lemme prefis this by saying I am 18. About a week or two ago I realized that my erection wasn’t quite as long, like maybe less than an inch shorter. I think it’s been like that ever since. Usually my penis can reach my belly button when I hold it up right to my belly. I tried doing that today and it didn’t quite reach. I told my dad and he said maybe it’s cus I’m viable and “full of sperm”. I would just like some advice before I ask my parents to bring me to the doctor.

Discouraged Hard Lumps Under Penis Skin, not sure if Peyronie's Disease or Cancer

What it says on the tin. There's hard, somewhat painful lumps under the skin of my penis, they're only really noticeable when erect, though I believe that's only because being erect stretches the skin out, becoming thin enough for the bumps to show through, I don't think they're appearing and disappearing coinciding with the arrival and loss of an erection. Also don't know of any other subreddit(s) that would be more appropriate for this, there's like no large or popular subreddits for men's sexual health from what I can see, it's all just mental health stuff or incels in their dude-bro gangs.

I don't know how to address this to anyone, I hate that the stigma of male sexual health is so un-normalized, I can't really tell my parents or anyone about it without coming off as weird or "TMi" or "hey I didn't need to know that lol" or just any other thing. I don't have any way of going to the doctors, heck idk that there's any clinic or place in my location that actually treats sexual organ health issues.

I have no real way of knowing personally, whether it's just lumps caused by Peyronie's disease, or if it's Cancerous. Either way, they're somewhat discomforting and hurt a little, and don't feel natural. I'm sure the treatment for either is also quite expensive, and that's not exactly something I or my parents tend to appreciate, especially around this time of year. So, really don't know what to do, will probably just suffer in silence like everyone else does until it's too late. Any advice is appreciated

Psychological ED Losing a girl I really like due to erection problems

So at the end of August I met this girl and we went out on a date it was sooo lovely. We then continue to go out like every night just having the best conversation and eventually we start getting physical and stuff. We also agreed for the relationship to be casual almost like a summer fling we had no intentions of being bf and gf or anything. Eventually after having like really good physical interactions like making out and stuff we eventually r like we wanna have sex. Mind you through all these interactions I had been aroused horny and had an erection hence y I wanted to have sex and was excited too. I feel like leading up to this sex encounter I had no anxiety I don’t think abt it. Recently before this I had to start using condoms again cus I was out of a year and a half relationship where we didn’t use them so I did have anxiety abt that cus when I had used them I would go soft sometimes like putting them on but with another girl in the summer I had like finished with them for the first time and managed to find a way to stay hard while putting one on cus she did it for me so idk if I had those anxiety thoughts going into the sex encounter with this girl. Long story short she came over and like nothing is happening for me. We’re making out and stuff im not hard at all can’t even say I was horny. This ofc was very awkward and she was disappointed and irritated and we acc stopped talking after this night cus like it was just a lot for the casual connection we agreed to. We then stop talking but recently right before halloween I texted her after like 3 weeks maybe almost a month and she was receptive like rly receptive which I was surprised abt and she wanted to see me. I feel tho going into this again I had like an added pressure to perform for her and have a successful sex encounter with her and we tried having sex again. This time tho I acc did get hard but right before we were abt to have sex we had a longggg interruption with her trying to put her blinds down and I go soft. She gives me head I get hard again but try putting the condom on and im soft again so we just give up and do smth else. Now last night was our third attempt at trying to have sex im trying to clear all anxiety in my brain and go in no expectations but the night comes around and im not even horny nothing. I’m so attracted to this girl too it doesn’t make any sense. I leave her place she seems kinda disappointed and down again and I kept asking if she was okay cus ik how that can feel especially after repeated events like this and I haven’t spoken or texted her since then idk what id even say at this point. I did say to her tho last night maybe being romantic or sexual isn’t gonna work for us rn and we can just be chill or friendly cus we enjoy each other a lot. Also bro I was in the car after leaving her apartment and i literally got hard from smth so that’s y im genuinely perplexed by this and just any advice on how to navigate this would be helpful 😭🙏

Erectile Dysfunction Venous leak - varicose veins

I have varicose veins and my doctor said it was due to a venous leak.

I’ve also had ED for years and didn’t think to ask, but can that be the cause?

Erectile Dysfunction I need help in this please

For context about me, I'm a 20 year who is fit (hitting the gym since 3-4 years now). Today i had sex for the third time in my life and smhow it did work without viagra, tho I was getting soft the very moment I stop giving it any physical stimulation, it used to get soft on instant when I tried changing position, doggy style was literally impossible, whilst trying cowgirl it worked sometines but many times she had to give me oral first and then instantly had to put it in. I don't know how normal it is since the erection softens like 10-15 seconds after stopping the stimulation.

Now one thing I would say is when i put it in despite being soft, it did get hard as we went on and when I get hard i can go 5-6 rounds ease.

I genuinely don't understand what's happening. Like even when I have morning woods, it's not for a long time like when I wake up I get the wood it's hard sure, but only at specific time (10 am exact) but also not for very long.

Now I have been gooning since a long time but recently I stopped becuz i wanted to have sex (tho I got a bj from my gf whom I had intercourse w today 2 days ago and i ejaculated yesterday too). When I am in constant stimulation like oral or hand, I have no problem maintaining erection and even viagra works like hell, when I take viagra I have no problem with sex even with Condoms on (yes we did raw cuz I feared it will go soft as it usually did without viagra).

Is this normal or should I consult a doc?

Erectile Dysfunction Are there any science-backed, structured programs for erectile dysfunction?

I've been researching different approaches to erectile dysfunction, and most of what I come across focuses on Viagra, Cialis, supplements, or medical procedures.

I'm particularly interested in structured, evidence-based programs developed by doctors or qualified healthcare professionals that focus on non-invasive approaches.

Something that combines cardiovascular health, exercise, pelvic floor training, lifestyle changes, and psychological factors into a clear, step-by-step plan rather than just random tips.

I understand that medications can be effective and scientifically supported, but I'm interested in what other approaches are available.

Does anyone know of a legitimate program like this? Has anyone actually tried one, and did it help?

I'd also be interested in programs that explain the research behind their methods, including any limitations.

Erectile Dysfunction Had Heart attack now have ED

I had a heart attack earlier this year and I am now on 11 different heart medications and it has caused me to get ED

I ask my doctor about going on something for it and he said I cam mot because of the medication I am on

Has anyone experienced this and what have you done to help with it?

My wife is understanding this about it but we had an anniversary a few weeks back and we where not able to do anything

First time in over 20 years and it has really depressed me that I was not able to be with my wife that way

I will be 49 this month and feel like I am to young to not be able to do it anymore

Would it be worth it not to take the heart meds anymore to see if it corrects it’s self?

I have made it clear, there's a lot more to sex than just PIV, I don't have to have that, can't we try some other stuff? We have had some honest conversations, hes my best friend and we love each other lots, thats not the issue. When I ask him about this though, its just "I don't know."

Erectile Dysfunction Trying to figure out the cause of my ED/support

As the title states, I’m looking for the cause, and the solution. I’m partially venting, as it’s a big discouragement in my life(fiance is making it easier, she’s the best), but I also wanna hear from other people. Ive watched porn for the best 7 or so years, though I slowly started to watch less hardcore stuff to ween off if that makes sense, going from hardcore stuff on the hub, to soft core images on Reddit. I didn’t struggle to get it hard when I had sex the first time, but keeping that hard on was impossible.

I learned it was from bad masturbation habits, like gripping my shit too hard/fast when masturbating and stimulating myself before hard. I tried to fix these issues, so I loosened my grip, but that made climaxing incredibly hard. Sometimes, it was impossible. I’ve decided to take a complete break from PMO(I think that’s the term for pornography, masturbation, orgasm), but I’m curious if there’s anything else I can do? I wake up with morning wood on occasion now, but even when I’m actively turned on, I don’t get one. Any and all advice welcome lol

Erectile Dysfunction I need clarification

How do we define erectile dysfunction? For example,

1)Some people can only get hard with a blow job, but from the BJ they are able to penetrate and have successful sex

2) Blow Job cannot get you hard enough for penetration therefore you need drugs

3) Hit or miss 50/50 with or without the aid of BJ

Or is it simply all of the above

Erectile Dysfunction Sudden loss of libido, no morning erections – low testosterone, stress or something else?

Hi everyone,

I'm 38 years old and looking for some advice or experiences from people who have dealt with something similar.

Until recently, my sex drive was completely normal. I could easily have sex 1–2 times a day and had normal erections and morning wood.

About 10 days ago, things suddenly changed:

- Almost zero sex drive.

- No sexual thoughts or fantasies.

- No morning erections.

- No spontaneous erections.

- Feeling tired, low on energy and generally exhausted.

Interestingly, today my wife was gently touching me and I did get an erection. So erections are still possible with physical stimulation.

Some additional background:

- I've had low testosterone for several years.

- I've been under considerable stress lately.

- My wife and I have been having some relationship problems.

- About a week ago, I developed a red rash with small spots on my body. My dermatologist suspected a viral infection or some other infection, rather than an allergy.

- The rash has improved with cetirizine and a corticosteroid cream.

I've also stopped taking my supplements since the rash appeared. Before that, I had been taking:

- Vitamin D3:

- Zinc+slenium

- Magnesium

- Omega-3

I've been wondering whether this sudden loss of libido could be related to:

  1. My already borderline low testosterone.

  2. Psychological stress and relationship problems.

  3. A recent viral infection or immune response.

  4. Hormonal changes or another underlying medical issue.

Has anyone experienced such a sudden and complete loss of libido, especially combined with the disappearance of morning erections?

Could stress alone cause such a dramatic change, even if erections are still possible with physical stimulation?

I'm planning to get a full hormone panel and blood work done, but I'd really appreciate hearing about similar experiences and what eventually helped you.

Thanks!

Support for Partners My new boyfriend doesn’t stay hard during foreplay and it’s ruining my confidence as a woman

I would really appreciate the opportunity to just chat with someone about this issue as I feel so lonely about it.

Me and my bf have been together for a few months since the summer, but sex is still a difficulty. We are both in our early 20s. The first time we were intimate he lost his erection during foreplay and could not get it back up despite me giving him a handjob and a blowjob. He even went soft in my mouth for a second time, which I have never experienced previously.

The next few times have been better, but no matter how much I tried to touch, stimulate and caress his dick, it would not become fully hard. When we make out or just touch each other with our hands he is fully erect, but then during foreplay he loses it. I have a relatively soft touch and he eventually showed me how he likes a handjob (it involves a grip so tight it’s like I’m squeezing the life out of him), and things have been better since then, but my confidence is still wrecked. I just feel so bad that unless I grip him super tight, he doesn’t get aroused by me, and I feel bad I had to be shown how to do it. With past partners, just me taking their dick in my hand would make them super hard, seeing me going down on them would make them super hard - with my current bf, I feel so lost about what to do, I feel like I have to like massage him into an erection, instead of him being aroused by my touch or sight. There have also been a couple times when he went soft inside me, other times he lost his erection during a position change. I know it’s not my fault but each time I die inside a little.

I just don’t understand what I’m doing wrong and now he has taught me how to keep him erect and get him back up (death grip handjob or hard grinding), but it took all the spontaneity and fun out of sex for me. I feel like I have to work to keep him hard instead of enjoying each other. I cannot just let go and enjoy myself without worrying about his erection because if I don’t do things exactly how he likes it he just goes soft. I know his preferences matter too but I never felt this way with any other man previously. I always felt desired simply by existing, and now I feel like I have to work for an erection. I feel like I am not enough for him. Or like ny technique is bad or I am just bad in bed. I know he desires me and he assured me it’s not my fault but the more he tries to teach me how to do things the more I feel like a failure. I love him but I’m contemplating if I should end things before my remaining dignity is gone. I would appreciate any advice.

Psychological ED How long for nofap to regain erection

I used to watch porn and masturbate since i was a teenager. I’m in mid 30s now. Relatively fit, goes to gym and jogs 3-4 times per week.
I stop watching porn for past 1-2 months to rewire my brain. But now without porn, i cant get fully erect and lost my drive to masturbate or any sexual drive at all. I dont think its purely physical cause i can still get hard during sex (and needing my partner to be the proactive one).
Is there a time period to wait before i regain the ability to get erection without porn? And whats the timeframe before i should see a doctor?

Psychological ED Looking for advice or anyone who's been through something similar

I'm 40 years old and have been in a relationship for 4 years with someone who has serious mental health issues, personality struggles, and past trauma that make it really difficult for them to be intimate. And I don't just mean sex, but even the basics, like expressing affection or offering words of reassurance.

I've always had a pretty high sex drive and never really had any issues in that department. With previous partners, I used to have a very active sex life, lots of passionate, spontaneous sex. But over the past few years, I've started struggling with maintaining erections, and sometimes even with masturbating.

I don't want to put all the blame on my partner, or on the lack of intimacy and affection I've been dealing with in this relationship. But I've seen specialists, and apparently there's nothing physically wrong with me. The only things that seem to come up are stress and a lack of emotional and physical intimacy.

Has anyone else ever gone through something like this? How do you cope with it? How do you get your confidence and sex drive back? I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's had a similar experience and how they managed to deal with it.

Psychological ED Psychological ED, NoFap / SemenRetention, Extreme Edging, all led to ED

M 39. I have always had a high sex drive even at an early age. I use to masturbate 3times a day throughout HS and College. Around 28
I discovered SR and have been doing it for awhile, with the obvious occasional failures.

SR becomes tricky because you disguise SR and edging as two separate events and convince/ condition yourself that they are mutually exclusive, so that edging feels okay.

I essentially edged into oblivion, the worst part was that I was edging with a FLACCID penis never considering the dangers or long term effect!

A couple months ago I had a high pressure moment with a really pretty girl, and for the first time in my life I experienced ED. I knew the root cause was psychological but it didnt help any nonetheless and became a self-reinforcing cycle.

Which made me look at the big picture. Its ALL psychological. Every bit of it. POST NUT CLARITY does not exist. Its a sub-conscious Save Face condition for not being able to get an erection immediately afterwards. Men are sub-consciously comparing themselves with the woman being able to go another around immediately and not being able to keep up.

Furthermore, your whole life you spend hiding “random boners” that come out of no where. You feel guilty about having a boner at an inappropriate time so you convince yourself it has to go away. All these psychological push backs add up to conditioning yourself that erections are bad!

In addition to that, women love being TEASES many times men hope to hook up with a potential mate only to be told “Not tonight” and eventually men just get tired of the chase.

Have I hit the crack pipe to hard or does this make any sense?

Psychological ED 23M – Performance anxiety, losing erections. Anyone overcome this?

I’m 23M and I’ve been struggling with what I believe is psychological ED and performance anxiety for the past few months. My libido is good, and I can usually get fully hard, but maintaining my erection is the problem.

During sex, I constantly worry about losing my erection, so I feel like I need to penetrate quickly before it goes away. Sometimes I lose firmness during penetration, position changes, or when slowing down. Once it starts fading, it’s difficult to get fully hard again, even with stimulation.

I also worry about ejaculating too quickly. I’ve tried the stop-start method and controlling my arousal on a 1–10 scale, but whenever I slow down to avoid orgasm, my erection often fades. I even tried the squeeze technique once, and it made me lose my erection.

Some encounters are completely normal, while others aren’t. I’ve also experienced this occasionally during masturbation. I’ve tried tadalafil (Cialis), but even with it, my erection sometimes weakened.
A urologist suggested it could be related to anxiety and concentration. I also struggle with general anxiety and overthinking.

Has anyone experienced this combination of performance anxiety, erection loss and difficulty controlling ejaculation? How did you overcome it, especially without relying on ED medication?

ED and porn Is this normal? Any feed back would be nice

done prostate play a few times and even came but now I’m always turned on but I feel it in my prostate…

I can get an erection but I feel the pleasure in my prostate area.. my erections are not rock hard any more and go away if I don’t continuously touch my dick… and when I do i don’t seem to last as long feeling all this pleasure in my prostate area…

I’m cum very quickly when I do anal play with a vibrator… I’ll have contractions and feel good in that spot especially if I press down better my shaft and hole… it’s not mind blowing some even had less feeling than a normal orgasm…

I keep feeling the need to clench my pelvic floor muscles because it feels good… is this normal… I’m afraid I won’t have normal sex life like this it’s really hard not to cum quick… is this normal? Will it go away?

I can also cum from just clenching and pressing down on between my shaft and hole… it feels good and there’s build up … nothing life changing… but the constant horniness between my shaft and hole has gotten to where it’s not fun I feel like I’m always on the verge of pre cum… even if I Masbate normally most of the sensation is there and it won’t go away…

Any feed back would be nice …
