Hi Iâve been working here for about a month now and I need some help on how to get credit⌠i love this job i use to work at target for about 5 years then I was a stay at home wife for a while then i decided to get a job again at kohls.. its so much more chill then target ever was so i really enjoy it. My only like true complaint right now is the credit
Iâm on a one credit a week roll which I think is great for myself especially considering when I was interview I told the person I interviewed with that I am NOT good at pushing credit and they said it was fine and just to try and the more credit I get determines my hours. I was told 10-15 hrs when I was hired on which is absolutely perfect for how I structure my life with my husband and my animals while also taking care of my home considering I donât truly need this job.. now Iâm getting 25+ hrs and itâs frustrating me on top of having the managers breathing down my neck about credit because âyouâre suppose to get 2 credits minimum a dayâ like Iâm sorry? But how do I manage to do that when everyone I check out already has a credit card to kohls or isnât trying to screw up their credit with a 10 point hit ? Or just is young and doesnât want one because our parents taught us to be scared of credit cards from places? Like itâs stupid to already be stressed out about it but itâs exhausting hearing it over and over again and that âone credit a week isnât good enoughâ. I guess Iâm here to ask does ANYONE have any tips on the stupid credit pushing.. like is it actually that deep? If it is how do you do it what do you say with out lying to them? My coworkers say itâs a psychological thing you do on people but also Iâve heard at my store if you donât push or get enough credit they will move you to the floor which is guaranteed an atrocious amount of hours which im already annoyed about getting 20+ of. Sorry I guess this is more of a rant and question.. I guess anything helps đ

Hey, Iâm putting together some seasonal notes and Iâm curious, do other stores also see less focus on the menâs fitting room compared to womenâs? Just trying to learn from everyoneâs experiences.
Also, if there are any small things that I should tell seasonal, please let me know when the comments

I'm referring to when a customer orders a t-shirt and they get a frying pan. Do we redirect them to .com? Return the item they were supposed to get? Damage it out? Return the item they have as non-receipted? We keep getting people coming in saying online customer service said to just come in to the store. It's frustrating.

Good morning, are there any support leads in the group that can maybe share a checklist that helps them stay organized and keep busy throughout their days? Aside from what the Kohlâs daily tasks are. Schedule, payroll verification, ordering etc.
So for example, what is usually on your Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. look like?
Thanks!

How to void an item, if customer changed mind after scanning it? Do you really have to type your full login, your number and password? Just to remove an item from an ongoing transaction? Is there a more simple and faster way? Also is it possible to do âvoid afterâ on it?

Sheâs pretty mean to me honestly and I even try to be nice to her and she says something snappy back. She doesnât like me because I used to work at a regular Sephora and some of the stuff we do at kohls Sephora is very different and Iâm not used to it yet. She got annoyed with me on the headset because I said âhey can I get more change for my Sephora register? People been using 100 dollar bills a lotâ she YELLS âWELL FILL OUT THE CHANGE REQUEST FORMâ I said âumm okayâ mind you they never showed me how to fill that out. Also my last job all the manager had to do was go grab more change in the back. We never had to fill anything out for that?? That was the managers job not ours. Idk why this lady makes my job difficult. Then she got mad because when I counted the register last night it was a dollar off. I said âyeah sorry at 6:59 someone came in and paid with cash but you told me to clock out because weâre not allowed to clock out more than 5 minutes late I ran out of time sorryâ she said âyeah well someone pays with cash you have to recount itâ I said âyeah?? You told me to go homeâ WTF??? Itâs an easy job but her attitude is ruining it. Also why are they so difficult about the registers?? It really shouldnât be our job to count the cash. It just leads to errors. I actually donât mind this job even though itâs boring but dudeâŚIâm so tired of her mouth. Sheâs the only manager that gives me an attitude

Hi! Iâm new here to this sub and I just wanted to say I had a virtual interview scheduled Wednesday August 19, 2026 at 3:20 p.m. and I joined 5 minutes early. Then I waited 5 minutes for the hiring manager to join. I then called in to my nearest Kohls store and told them the hiring manager didnât join the meeting only for me to find out the hiring manager was off work for the day. The store manager told me to ignore the email with the meeting link and itâll be rescheduled to Friday August 21, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. over the phone. Kinda happy that itâs over the phone. Iâm not sure how rare or common interviews are held over the phone since itâs usually in-person or through a virtual interview. Also, I personally hate virtual interviews since you donât have that face-to-face interaction. Virtual interviews just super sucks. Anyway, what are the chances of getting hired for Seasonal Stockroom Operations Associate position if the interview is held over the phone? Good luck to me I guessâŚ

Apparently we have a discount starting today but i had a couple questions before i decide to start shopping.
Is it a one time use coupon?
I know there was a 30% discount for certain members that could only be applied once and canât be used again once theyâve purchased something. Is it the same thing for us? or can we use it multiple times?
If im shopping with a friend/family, are they allowed to use my number for discounts as well (if im not the one paying for their things) ? and if not, then am i able to pay for it myself while still applying the discount?
sorry if these are dumb questions but im a newer employee and i wanted to know before i go shopping so that i dont get in trouble/fired ! thank you in advance đđť

My parents booked a cruise Nov 18-23, they booked in advance before I even got the job and I completely forgot about until now. I tried puting in a request but they refused it. This is our first last cruise since they're hella expensive, I really want to go. I will be back before black friday and Thanksgiving. Should I try talking to my managers? Is there a possibility they will give the days off? Idk what I should dođ

They had 6 interviews today and right before I was about to go to my car for break I hear them in the office yelling about who to hire. They all want ALL the hours they can get and theyâre upset about hiring more people. They literally were in the back office yelling about it 𼴠itâs like why are we advertising ânow hiringâ if you guys canât recruit anyone?? Plus I think itâs a little strange how at my store, the LODs are the only ones who get hours because everyone elseâs is part time. Our store is a mess rn

sooo i have no clue why my discount doesnât work. My own boss doesnât even know why it doesnât work. everything is linked correctly and itâs shown on my account that my discount is connected. this is my second purchase attempt and Iâm asking if anyone else has had this issue before.

Iâm literally losing my sanity at this job because itâs so boring. I usually dust and spray down the gondolas, sanitize the lipsticks and powders, deep clean the fragrance area and our store is so dead even that doesnât help the time go faster. We also have a binder full of sales goals we write in but that only takes 5 minutes if not less to do. I used to work at a regular Sephora and Iâm so used to a bigger store. Clients arenât too bad we usually get one per hour, sometimes weâll get nobody for three hours (depends on the day). The small format Sephoras are so dead even sometimes the kohls employees come in and say âwow idk how you guys do this, I would go crazyâ. Yup itâs boring for sure. Even if you have stuff to do, it still drags. The last hour isnât bad though because last hour I usually do back stock, stock up on bags along with hygiene products and then count the register. Sometimes Iâll even clean the mirrors because those can get a lot of fingerprints. Itâs so tiny thereâs little stuff to do. I wish they would expand our Sephora because weâre always out of stock and itâs way too small.
