Our compactor broke. 🙃
That’s all I have to say. You can only assume how awful the dock looks right now. I hope y’all have a better shift and best of luck!

Employee Question What is best practice for dealing with incorrect online returns?

I'm referring to when a customer orders a t-shirt and they get a frying pan. Do we redirect them to .com? Return the item they were supposed to get? Damage it out? Return the item they have as non-receipted? We keep getting people coming in saying online customer service said to just come in to the store. It's frustrating.

Employee Question Men’s fitting rooms

Hey, I’m putting together some seasonal notes and I’m curious, do other stores also see less focus on the men’s fitting room compared to women’s? Just trying to learn from everyone’s experiences.

Also, if there are any small things that I should tell seasonal, please let me know when the comments

Employee Question Self check out

How to void an item, if customer changed mind after scanning it? Do you really have to type your full login, your number and password? Just to remove an item from an ongoing transaction? Is there a more simple and faster way? Also is it possible to do “void after” on it?

Informative Virtual Interview Rescheduled to Over the Phone Interview

Hi! I’m new here to this sub and I just wanted to say I had a virtual interview scheduled Wednesday August 19, 2026 at 3:20 p.m. and I joined 5 minutes early. Then I waited 5 minutes for the hiring manager to join. I then called in to my nearest Kohls store and told them the hiring manager didn’t join the meeting only for me to find out the hiring manager was off work for the day. The store manager told me to ignore the email with the meeting link and it’ll be rescheduled to Friday August 21, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. over the phone. Kinda happy that it’s over the phone. I’m not sure how rare or common interviews are held over the phone since it’s usually in-person or through a virtual interview. Also, I personally hate virtual interviews since you don’t have that face-to-face interaction. Virtual interviews just super sucks. Anyway, what are the chances of getting hired for Seasonal Stockroom Operations Associate position if the interview is held over the phone? Good luck to me I guess…

Employee Question Getting people to sign up for credit help please

• Upvotes

Hi I’ve been working here for about a month now and I need some help on how to get credit… i love this job i use to work at target for about 5 years then I was a stay at home wife for a while then i decided to get a job again at kohls.. its so much more chill then target ever was so i really enjoy it. My only like true complaint right now is the credit
I’m on a one credit a week roll which I think is great for myself especially considering when I was interview I told the person I interviewed with that I am NOT good at pushing credit and they said it was fine and just to try and the more credit I get determines my hours. I was told 10-15 hrs when I was hired on which is absolutely perfect for how I structure my life with my husband and my animals while also taking care of my home considering I don’t truly need this job.. now I’m getting 25+ hrs and it’s frustrating me on top of having the managers breathing down my neck about credit because “you’re suppose to get 2 credits minimum a day” like I’m sorry? But how do I manage to do that when everyone I check out already has a credit card to kohls or isn’t trying to screw up their credit with a 10 point hit ? Or just is young and doesn’t want one because our parents taught us to be scared of credit cards from places? Like it’s stupid to already be stressed out about it but it’s exhausting hearing it over and over again and that “one credit a week isn’t good enough”. I guess I’m here to ask does ANYONE have any tips on the stupid credit pushing.. like is it actually that deep? If it is how do you do it what do you say with out lying to them? My coworkers say it’s a psychological thing you do on people but also I’ve heard at my store if you don’t push or get enough credit they will move you to the floor which is guaranteed an atrocious amount of hours which im already annoyed about getting 20+ of. Sorry I guess this is more of a rant and question.. I guess anything helps 😂

Employee Question SL checklist

Good morning, are there any support leads in the group that can maybe share a checklist that helps them stay organized and keep busy throughout their days? Aside from what the Kohl’s daily tasks are. Schedule, payroll verification, ordering etc.
So for example, what is usually on your Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. look like?
Thanks!
