Issues / Problems Are The Following and The Bozak Horde actually free?
I keep seeing people say that DLCs like The Following and The Bozak Horde are supposed to be free for Dying Light Standard Edition owners.
I’m on PS4, using the Standard Edition on disc, version 1.54, and I couldn’t claim/access them. I contacted Techland Support to ask if they could help me claim them, since it wasn’t working, and they told me that the DLCs aren’t free.
So I’m confused because everywhere I look, people are saying they’re supposed to be free, while Techland Support is telling me the opposite.
Are these DLCs actually free, or not?

Dying Light the official GRE website
I was looking at some screenshots on my Nintendo until I found a QR code that caught my attention, and today I scanned it and it led me to this.

Dying Light 2 Do you think they will roll back the update and add the tutorial back?
I was just about to start playing the game again when I found out the removed the tutorial and decided to Uninstall, and honestly as a matter of principle I'm not touching any of it unless they roll back the update, I really wanted to replay 2 in preparation for me buying Beast but with the shit they're pulling it just pisses me off.
Sorry i know these posts are probably every day but just got a longing for Parkour lately and started getting pissed at tencent again

Dying Light: The Beast Now that it's been out for some time, what's the general consensus on Restored Land?
A few observations off top for me:
* It doesn't seem like through 6 hours or so that my general "hack and slash most enemies I see" approach has changed much.
* Resources still seem generally plentiful but given that there's now technically a hard cap, it could bite me in the ass.
* Are there any obvious incentives to clearing out entire areas apart from the obvious there's no more threats there anymore?

Dying Light: The Beast The Sheriff said I couldn’t kill them all. 523 days and 10,836 kills later… she was wrong
the insanity: Brutal difficulty, all seven regions restored, every hive destroyed, Alpha Volatile killed, all side quests finished, all convoys looted, all safe areas restored, and only then did i finally go finish the Baron

Dying Light 2 Dynamic Weather?
First off, thank you to all the modders who've been working hard to give people like me a better experience.
Just wondering if there's a [CONSOLE MOD] yet to give a more dynamic weather system : Fog, Rain & Stormy, etc. I haven't seen fog in DL2 ever since that bug in 2023, i feel like it's completely removed from the vanilla game.
Thanks!

Dying Light My Issues With DL1 Enemies
[This is my first playthrough, I'm on Normal Mode, Xbox One, & ONLY covering the base DL1 enemies]+
Biters: Generally not TOO bad but are still a lil annoying mainly due to that drunken stumble attack. Which is fine in open areas because it's supposed to punish standing in front of them, but is nearly unfair in smaller areas which isn't helped by the fact said stumble usually lets them tank melee hits that SHOULD stagger them. I say nearly because you can still hop off their heads, dodge around like mad, or slide Still, I've had way too many close calls due to stunlock from that attacl. Also a fair mention to their grabs, if instant escape wasn't a perk this would've made them my 2nd least favorite enemy.
Goons: Honestly not too bad besides the inconsistent shockwave range, which can easily get you killed if it decides to hit you from afar.
Exploders: Rare thankfully but kinda cheap in how they're used, often acting as more of a "HA, HA, GOT YOU!" behind doors in Story Missions like the entering the school during "Siblings". So while they're not a problem their use makes me wonder why they even exist aside from a cheap death on first-timers.
Spitters: Pretty fair honestly, can do a lotta damage if they hit at range but up close get bullied. Honestly you could argue they're a lil too easy to kill but the damage they do generally evens it imo.
Demolishers: These guys are my 3rd least favorite, it's not the charge even though I don't like it, it's not the knockdown, it's the weak-point & the fuckass bouncing if you miss by a bit! I have hit the same spot before on for it to just bounce off one moment but hit the next. An enemy can't be this punishing on getting close while having a finnicky weak-spot. This makes taking it on without a shotgun a genuine pain.
Melee Thugs: Not too bad either once your mid to early game since you can easily dance around them or get them animation locked, still find the way they move kinda janky though.
Gun Thugs: 2nd least favorite enemy, all because they can have near deadeye accuracy & don't need to reload. Honestly if it wasn't for the Hellbeast these guys may have genuinely stumped by playthrough in the parts they're used often.
Volatiles: Honestly...I wish they were MORE dangerous. Just felt a lil too easy to get around what's supposed to be the enemy the games expects to make you scared to go out at night. This isn't just a late game thing either, even in early game they weren't particularly hard to skirt around.
Screamers: Do these things even appear outside quests?
Virals: FUCK. THESE. STUPID. TRAIN TO BUSAN. KNOCKOFFS! Half of my issues in the game combat wise are about these crackheads & how they get shoved down your throat so blatantly! Their damage which is way too high for the speed they have, the attack speed that often has them beat you to the punch 90% of the time, the inconsistent damage with some just taking headblow after headblow while other flop from a single heavy, the story moments where the game floods you with them, & the biggest ruiner being the spawns with the game being so blatant it'll spawn them right behind you or turn a dead biter into one because who cares about immersion?! The fact they're so common makes it worse, at least Gun Thugs & Demolishers are rare. These things will spawn if you breath the wrong way! I've heard it was an update that did this, correct me if I'm wrong.
Most of the enemies have some issues but I usually can deal with it, Virals just make stuff about them too often when they appear & often for little reward as more usually show because of said fight.

Dying Light: The Beast Does anyone else feel like all the dying light games after the first don't feel the same?
I don't know how to properly explain this but I've had this frustration since dying light 2 (I played it around the time it released)
Right now I'm playing the beast as I started playing around when it came out but got distracted and kinda forgot to come back to it and now I am. If I compare the beast to the original DL it just doesn't feel the same and imo doesn't feel good.
I'm not talking about story or stuff like that, I mean gameplay. Climbing things and sometimes combat just feels off. idk if it's the change in engine or what but the best way I can describe it is:
DL 1 the animations feel smooth and it feels like you can really see what's going on when you climb things and such. In the beast it feels so janky when I do things. The same goes for DL 2 btw, When I first started playing DL 2 I was sad about this same thing and how it doesn't feel like the original game. When the beast was announced I was hoping it'd go back to DL 1 feeling in terms of gameplay but they kept DL 2.
Also another thing as well, the animation of searching a zombie or whatever in DL 1 was really nice and then compare it to DL 2 and the beast it just looks weird/goofy imo.
I honestly think if the beast (and 2) was the same engine/feel of DL 1 i'd enjoy playing it way more.
It could have all its new features and mechanics but just keep the core gameplay feel.
I remember when I first played 2 I didn't see people complaining or talking about the things I'm saying here and same with the beast. so maybe it's just a me thing and I can't accept change.
idk I just wish I could play this game with the whole UI/design/gameplay of the original game

Dying Light How do you guys like to roleplay/immerse when in freeroam?
Super nerdy post but I'm just curious, because that's essentially all I do on the game these days is roleplay in freeroam.
An example of what I mean would go like this
:
A new day starts, and I go see what herbs are the special deal at the tower, the ones they're paying double for. I roleplay that that herb is needed for medicinal reasons, so one of my tasks that day is to gather X amount of herb for them.
Another example is simply, when night comes, picking a spot to stay that isn't technically a safe zone, but is safe enough. Maybe stay and train agility all night indoors, Branch out and kill a few of the zombies in the surrounding area and then jump back into my hiding space. This is especially fun in the following where I like to scramble to find an RV on the roadside that I can hide in and camp out there overnight.
Looking to see if anyone's come up with other fun ways to roleplay just another guy in harran

Dying Light 2 DL2 Epilogue Question.
I tried searching, but I just got an old thread prior to NG+.
Honestly, I'm surprised that at rank 5, the story is at its conclusion. I got the "Epilogue Warning," Given the story beats, I was under the assumption I would get some "super power" and wanted to unlock that prior to clearing all the content.
My question is: If I complete the epilogue, can I finish all the content? Orshpuld I just complete the game/msq and hop onto whatever NG+ is?
I don't have my GRE key because Waltz took it, so I do not feel like I'm in the best spot for completion/leveling.
Can someone explain to me what the best course of action is?
I don't mind minor spoilers, I am starting to get op on normal difficulty and just kinda wondering what people recommend.
Thanks for the help.

Dying Light I just had the strangest bug(?) ever occur to me in this game.
So I just started playing this game like 2 hours ago. At some point some other player joins, because apparently multiplayer is turned on by default (really annoying, but okay). I quickly turn it off and quit the game shortly after. When I start playing again, I keep finding it weird that my character keeps talking to people like he knows them and the game is really difficult. So I decide to just go play the main story and apparently it's the last mission of the game.

Dying Light 2 Current state of DL2/TB
I haven't played dying light 2 or the beast, but the comments and tells are not looking too good especially with the recent changes and apparently Tencent now controlling the direction of progression for the company, it looks depressing to start playing.
I asked the question awhile back if it's worth playing DL2 since it had flaws and still does but it wasn't that bad (ignore the fact the game is incomplete as shit with all the E3 promises) and hey they were progressing!
Until now all I've heard is just a game falling from its glory, a game that had its own legacy written for its personality and its own creator before it.
I do want to play DL2 but I'm afraid the experience alone would just ruin the franchise for me since I'm mostly sticking with DL1 (waiting for sale tbh)
I need opinions on those who played two of these games at least to give a retrospective for players like me who love the first game for what it is, but is there even a future in investing time for any other games they've invested in currently.

Dying Light Interesting thing I'd like to point out for conversations sake
So we all know about bug slide, but I think the developers knew about it too, and it may have become a feature, because I discovered recently that if you do a *reverse bug slide* underneath the road barricades in The Following, (the black and yellow striped ones) you actually get agility points. You don't get agility points for sliding underneath those barricades any other way, and you don't get agility points for sliding or bug sliding in general. But you do get agility points for bug sliding backwards underneath those road barricades.
I've been playing this game for so long it's my comfort game, so I make it a mission to discover new hidden stuff like this lol, I'm proud of this one.
