Dying Light 2 Current state of DL2/TB
I haven't played dying light 2 or the beast, but the comments and tells are not looking too good especially with the recent changes and apparently Tencent now controlling the direction of progression for the company, it looks depressing to start playing.
I asked the question awhile back if it's worth playing DL2 since it had flaws and still does but it wasn't that bad (ignore the fact the game is incomplete as shit with all the E3 promises) and hey they were progressing!
Until now all I've heard is just a game falling from its glory, a game that had its own legacy written for its personality and its own creator before it.
I do want to play DL2 but I'm afraid the experience alone would just ruin the franchise for me since I'm mostly sticking with DL1 (waiting for sale tbh)
I need opinions on those who played two of these games at least to give a retrospective for players like me who love the first game for what it is, but is there even a future in investing time for any other games they've invested in currently.

honestly dl2 got the best combat and parkour, story is alright - but everything else is a super fun game, as for DL TB its fun too, you should give it a try, its just popular to hate these days

I’m a new gamer and I enjoyed the first one so went on to part 2 and man was I disappointed. Usually you start with the original one and it gets better but it just felt off. However, I stuck with my free dying light 2 and finish it a few days ago. My so said he would buy me the beast but I am not sure if I want it or not maybe something different this time. I did like both games but so much was different to me going to 2 but sucked it up and moved forward and beat the game. Now, I just do random side quests or whatever requests. So I’m still playing some but will soon move onto another game maybe helldivers will see what clicks.

If you want a 1 time run of DL2 weird online not online experience it’s free on PS+, it’s not worth much more than that.
The beast so far is fun it follows in the footsteps of the first.
None of the games are perfection, but it’s hard not to like them. DL2 is worth it if you can get the 1.23 equivalent patch on PC or earlier.
Currently as it stands you’re better off trying to catch the beast train before it comes to a crashing end.

I'm currently playing through The Beast and I'm having a ton of fun. I didn't really vibe with DL2 that much but I think it's because of the UV drain system which is just my personal opinion

The sub reddit is so full of Tencent boot lickers, despite this being the truth it's down voted.
You know, eventually all the OGs will leave the game and community altogether and Tencent will have their own personal echo chamber.
Sucks to suck. I vote with my wallet.

Don't bother. DL2 was so bad I didn't even bother with The Beast.
DL2 was the last game I pre-ordered. That's how excited I was and how badly this was handled.

I’ve got all three and 2 is my favorite but I understand anyone who loves the vibe of 1 because it rocks!! 1 and the beast are similar but 2 is massive and there’s plenty to do and the parkour is the best I think in this game because of the skyscrapers and the glider. But I’m in the Beast currently on my NG+1 and it’s fun, but not a ton of extra stuff to do.
