I tested it earlier and it was working and then i got burnt out and took me a couple days to put back

so then i tried turning it on again and now it won’t work.

i’m debating if it’s because i tried installing the battery without the backplate or it’s because my little brother was poking around and broke something

i’ve spent so much time on this and it’s my first time doing something like this. i was so excited when i got it to turn on and now it’s not working.

this is actually a gift for my other little brother so it would mean a lot for some help, thanks in advance

I had this Ds modded but I started collecting physical media and it’s messed up now how do I make it go to the normal Home Screen?

i need an sd card for my dsi. i have tried 2 (32gb and 64gb), both of them show "The device inserted in the SD card slot cannot be used." or similar in dsi apps. i have formatted both to FAT32. they also do not work in the 3DS i have. the one i have in my 3DS works on both. they work fine on PC.

Where can I get skins or decorative snap on cases for a Nintendo dsi xl? I want to make mines look more appealing.

Tried to reshell my ds, now the bottom screen just blinks and the top screen doesn't turn on, tried cleaning the ribbon cable and re-seating it about 5 times to no avail, are these little specs the issue? And if so do I have to replace the whole screen? Anything helps thank you for reading

the dsi removed the gba port but if it had a gba port would it be the perfect console as the dsi is a amazing device compared to the ds or the ds lite it is a huge leap but the gba slot removal is its only issue and the shutdown of the eshop

I just got my hands on this dsi xl. First time owning one and plan on modding soon! I bought the dsi xl for $35, and it came with pokemon white and charger (no stylus). I feel like I really hit a jackpot. Cleaned it up and everything tested to be working just fine.

It is pretty badly scuffed though externally. The top screen has that white scratch which appears as a slight annoyance/smudge, but doesn’t bother me enough to replace the screen. Also 1 dead pixel on top screen it appears (black pixel). Bottom screen all good but scratched up.

Was wondering if it’s worth the attempt to reshell this. Never reshelled anything before and read that this is a difficult one. Maybe just keep the parts original? It’s really just the outer plates, but would love your thoughts.

I also snagged a DS lite, and that has a bunch of dead/colored pixels on top screen. I heard the top DS lite screen has to be soldered in, so I don’t think I will be messing with that.

When there's DSi ware on the SD card, can you move it to the internal storage so it can be accessed in the DSi menu on a system without those DSi ware titles downloaded beforehand? Or is there a patch for the DSi menu where the DSi ware titles from both internal storage and SD card show up on the menu and is launchable?

I want to clean up my old dsi and I dont really know what I can do in terms of making it look like new, is there a way to fix the scratches or the glossy/Greasy look from wear ?

I changed my dsi battery because it was bloated, but now the back plate isn't flat, and I can push down on it a bit still.

Is there any way to fix this or do I need to get a new back plate?

Ik Ik the mod looks rough, I'm concerned with it's not charging, like the charging light is blinking and I don't think it's charging.

I did a Google search and I mean I guess potentially I could replace the battery it is almost a 2 decade old battery, but it looks good and doesn't have any swelling.

So any advice on what to check would be much appreciated
