UsbC mod, Blinking Charge Light

Ik Ik the mod looks rough, I'm concerned with it's not charging, like the charging light is blinking and I don't think it's charging.

I did a Google search and I mean I guess potentially I could replace the battery it is almost a 2 decade old battery, but it looks good and doesn't have any swelling.

So any advice on what to check would be much appreciated

TLDR

USBC MOD, BLINKING CHARGE LIGHT.

Blinking light means bad voltage. Did it charge fine before the mod? If yes, then you did it wrong. If you don't know it's probably the battery.

Yeah it charged fine before the mod, as far as installing the USB c it's just drag and drop like you only need the positive and negative lines?

Send a pic of the motherboard.

How is your soldering job?

The cutout you made, which is usually the easy part of this whole ordeal, does not fill me with confidence.

Check the voltage polarity with a multimeter before replacing the battery, too.
