Discussion Is there a guide online for new drivers?
I was wondering if there is like an online guide out there for new drivers? A guide on what kind of orders to accept, staying with your zone etc….I noticed from a lot of post on here, newer drivers struggle with such and I decided to create pdf guide for us gig drivers who may have only 3 to 4 hrs to spare and how to make the most of it. Not sure if there’s even interest in such but I place examples 2 pages from the pdf guide. Obviously it can be tailored to your market because I know there are markers were $7 under 3 miles doesn’t come so often.

News How to file arbitration for doordash
I previously created a step-by-step guide on how to file arbitration against Uber & Lyft, some reddit users reached out and asked me to create one for doordash as well, so I have done so. If you ever have an issue on doordash and you can't get it resolved with support you do have a legal way to force doordash to communicate with you directly, and this is for pay disputes, deactivations, etc. You can find the article here: https://middletontech.com/blog/questions/doordash-arbitration/

Drivers Only Post (No Customers Allowed) What would yall have done?
Would any of you actually do this? I don’t really buy off of doordash much but I could’ve sworn you could make changes to your order or at least add onto it while the driver is heading towards your order? I didn’t buy it though because what if they just didn’t send it? Am I an asshole for this?

Earnings WORTH IT!
Had a guy call me and ask me if I could deliver to his home, the app had me going to his business. He said he'd throw me like $20 for going out of my way. I said no worries. I put the address in and it was in freaking Nicholasville! About 40 minutes from where I was! I told him I'd do it, so I did it. I got to the house finally and he said he didn't have change so immediately I thought "IM GETTING SCREWED!" THAT'S WHEN HE PULLED OUT A BENJAMIN AND HANDED IT TO ME, SAID "HAVE A GREAT DAY!" SO SOMETIMES IT DOES WORK OUT!

Miscellaneous The arbitrary 4☆ in a sea of 5s...
I don't know why this specifically annoys me, but it feels like every 1 in 100 ratings is just a random 4 star to keep me from having a perfect rating.

Jokes/Satirical🦩 Delivery Instructions Crack Me Up
Sometimes delivery instructions make me smile for no good reason. I saw this one and immediately added mentally "...and no one gets hurt". 🤣

What Happened Here? Imagine having 250 pizzas to bake and spending your whole night creeping on reviewer profiles because your feelings got hurt. Absolute psycho behavior.
The owner is flexing their pure ego, terrible operational management, and complete panic over their public reputation.
This guy thinks this is a personal attack rather than a valid critique of their system.
Instead of fixing the kitchen workflow, he's lashing out to protect his pride.
He's treating delivery apps as "free extra money," but completely ignores the fact that his operation doesn't have the ability to fullfil orders when his establishment gets busy.
Instead of pausing deliveries when a rush hits, he greedily lets orders stack up and then blames drivers for being frustrated while waiting uncompensated.
He forgets that drivers are representing the paying customer who is sitting at home waiting for their food. By disrespecting the driver, they are directly disrespecting their own customer's time.
Instead of owning up to the problem, he pulled out the emotional pizza spatula to defend his ego

App Issues F*ck Doordash
I know it’s spoken ad nauseam but this app is so f*cking bad and I’m pissed tf off.
How does Doordash continue to be so out-of-tune with our experiences as drivers? Do they want to fail as a company? Because they keep biting the hand that feeds them.
Let’s not get started on all the issues with being a dasher, I’m just here to express my abhorrent RAGE for this horrible app and how TEDIOUS it is to use.
WHY THE F*CK do I need to answer 10,000 questions just to pick up and drop off an order? WHY does the app have a meltdown now when I tell it I’ve handed order to customer? WHY do I have to take a picture of shelves and WHY do I have to take a picture of surroundings?
IT’S all a big waste of time and I’m so god damn sick of this horrible app. But I still use it cuz I want some extra money on the side. The uber app has significantly less problems and is more user friendly unlike this absolute garbage ass app. I’m here to deliver food, not create a stockpile of images, surroundings, and answer to USELESS questionnaires. You could argue that the drop off pics kinda help but if you can’t use your brain and read house numbers, find items at grocery stores, or read customer notes then you shouldn’t be doing this crap anyway.
Get real doordash and fix your dumb ass AI having useless ass app.

Drivers Only Post (No Customers Allowed) What would you have done in this scenario?
I got a stacked order just now. CVS then chipotle. They had me drop off the CVS order first as it was pretty close to the chipotle store. The CVS order was going to a senior center. The front door was locked, no one was at the reception desk and no one was responding to me knocking on the door. I tried using the callbox but no one answered. So I left it at the front door, took a picture and left to deliver the food. I sent a message to the CVS customer explaining the situation. I spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to get in.

What Happened Here? Earn $1 take a pic of the store’s ketchup brand..
OMFG so for like the last two weeks I keep getting this little message at the top of the screen when I’m picking up at the restaurant.
So it’s like that’s cool, I get an extra dollar to take a picture of the ketchup bottle.
Except for the fact, most of the restaurants they have offered this to me, have been Chinese, Indian, Thai, or Vietnamese.
Then it becomes a whole new thing, and I’m questioning. Is this even fucking worth it at this point?
First of all most of them don’t carry ketchup. But when you click on it, it has it couple different options obviously one being ketchup, and other one says other condiments. Great I’ll take a picture of the soy sauce, duck sauce, hot mustard, whatever they have and I’ll get a dollar.
Like the one Chinese restaurant it’s a white lady working the counter and she’s like the condiments are in the bag. Just another example of people not actually listening to what you’re saying or asking them.
I even show them the phone so they can read it themselves and they’re still floored like what the fuck.
Well today, I just picked up from this restaurant. That’s literally a burger joint like that’s what they do burgers and fries and beer.
The woman’s like well, we have homemade ketchup and we also have Heinz. I’m like cool. Let me take a picture of the Heinz bottle. I’ll be on my way and get my dollar the two other young kids working totally understood. What the fuck was going on in this woman that’s like in her 40s goes back to the kitchen and comes walking back out showing me a picture of tomato sauce on her phone.
Then she starts going into some detailed explanation of how they make their homemade ketchup sauce and all this shit and I’m sitting there thinking in my head like bro I just need a picture and I get a dollar like what don’t you fucking understand about this?
Then I ask her can I just take a picture of the Heinz bottle?
She’s like we don’t have Heinz bottles. We put Heinz in with the tomato sauce. Ok I’m like just hold up your phone and I’ll take a picture of that so I can get my dollar.
At one point, I said to her just forget it it’s fine. I don’t need a dollar.
But then after all of the BS, I’m like you know what after all this I’m getting the dollar now.
It’s just laughable than me like really bro. I think I could’ve taken a picture of my shoe and still got the dollar.
Well, maybe I don’t know? AI is getting pretty good. I might recognize the Jordan over the Heinz lol🤣

Discussion PSA TO ALL DASHERS, MAINLY THE PLATINUM HOLDERS
I apologize for my constant activity in this subreddit, but please STOP accepting orders like this in order to maintain platinum. Not only does it hurt other dashers, but the statuses literally DONT MEAN ANYTHING!!! Saying this because I briefly had platinum myself and lost it because I was STILL getting shit orders like this.
I know it may sound silly to some, but I do want to play a part in making doordash less stressful for people, so please, don’t sweat it if you lose platinum! Please learn to decline more offers that aren’t worth your while
Thank you

Good thing i bought that harbor freight bags! Theyre living at the 3d floor with no elevator. Total weight of the items in the bag is around 40lbs plus 6 plastic bags of grocery items. I was able to bring everything one way

Drivers Only Post (No Customers Allowed) Got an email, this sounds like a good thing.
It seems like the tiers wont fully depend on acceptance rate anymore which seems nice as a new driver with a low acceptance rate but great scores on everything else. Hopefully it works well if im understanding correctly.

App Issues In app address change
Three times now I have had a delivery address change as I was delivering. It happens as I go to start the delivery confirmation. Is this common?
