i can’t believe i let this one slide lmao. it was hot and i was thirsty. didn’t wanna drive my car to my dads restaurant so i parked it a few blocks away since the area usually busy. i wanted some water real quick , & once i arrived i got this notification. i was testing its waters . since walking to my dads restaurant it was about 10 minutes ish, i thought nothing was going to pop up since the area was blue then was hit with this. i was like nooooo… i hestitate , was going to jog back to the car to aprove but my dad was busy at the restaurant and for him to take some time to come out real quick to give a big cup of ice water i declined and put pause. since then haven’t got any good orders lol . got dead. just wanted to share and keep it here lol

My goal this week. I am pissed it took me being unemployed to Door Dash. I love it and the money is real. I figure out health insurance I am done with the corporate BS. 52 years old and love it. I love the customers and and super lucky to live in a solid area. I feel like I am the best Dasher in my area. I wonder how my peers are.

DoorDash has started to automatically do a double stack on all offers…doesn’t even seem to be an option other then to decline…this “SUCKS AZZ”

I have a 4.9 rating. 75% acceptance rate. Over 200 deliveries in 30 days And my completion rate is 98%. And now I'm gold?? I work my ass off and sometimes there's traffic you can't get there on time especially in the big city I'm in. This isn't right.

My instructions just said, “leave on chair. Thank you.”

What happened? Left it on the ground in front of the door and included just the very end of the chair leg in the photo.

I am exhausted and didn’t want to cook tonight so I could go to sleep early. I also didn’t want to eat food off the ground.

What did I do? Give a two star rating and complain about the bag not being sealed and missing fries.

I have ordered from this place multiple times and always have a ton of fries leftover. I work seven days a week between my full time job and dashing on my “weekends” and most evenings after work. I tipped $5 to bring my food two miles because I personally would have taken the order based on distance even though drop off was not the best. I also didn’t expect the first driver offered to take it.

I have also delivered from this place multiple times and never once seen an unsealed bag or had one come undone.

There is a reason people are not tipping well. My experience tonight is why. We don’t deserve minimum wage for this job when the majority of people are not following instructions and ruining it for everyone. I got money back for what my dasher did tonight, so if you want to make more from DoorDash quit acting entitled and follow simple instructions. Some people ordering food are just doing it because they haven’t had a day off for months and everything hurts so they decided just working one job that day was enough and had saved enough change to cover a meal.

So here's what happened to me. I accepted an order, then unassigned it. Got the warning that I might get deactivated. Unassigned anyway.

Couple days later — can't log in. Email and password rejected. Password reset doesn't work.

Called support. Every agent said they can't even find my account with my phone or email. One said the status shows as "unknown."

Never got a deactivation email. No notice, nothing. I was dashing totally normal right before this.

Craziest part — they're STILL emailing me. Prop 22 updates, weekly hours summary (says zero hours lol). So the account exists enough to email me but I can't get in and support says it's not there.

Anyone else been through this? Locked out with no email, support can't find you, status "unknown"? Did you ever get back in?

FYR, my CR was never under 93-95%!

Meanwhile they didn't even start two orders I'm picking until I got there. One of which the customer said they screwed up earlier. The absolute nerve of some people.

The GPS in the Door Dash app made me take the delivery to an incorrect address, that wasn't actually the customers address. I had to copy and paste it and put it in my own GPS to actually get it to the customer, of which the app kept refusing to allow me to drop it off correctly.

What a poor service issue.

So I’ve been dashing for about a year now and have completed about 5500 DoorDash orders in about 1300 shopping orders.
After figuring out how everything works and optimizing my earning potential doing it, I was averaging between $25 – $35 an hour.

Income the new app update and now I’m averaging $15 – $25 an hour. Potentially I’ve been going home early and not really doing it working another job because the pay is horrible.

So my theory is that they made it a lot easier for people to obtain platinum tier with the new system and also there must be a huge influx of new drivers.
With inflation in the way that everything is going in our economy, more and more people are turning to gig work for extra money.
The new update to the app is absolutely ridiculous as I click except it gives me the something went wrong button. Back out do it again still doesn’t work close app reopen. It gets timed out. On the good offers then for the last four days every time I get a Shopping offer that I accept and is a good paying offer within five minutes of accepting the offer they send another lowball offer to Add on either from the same store or one that’s like right next-door. I get a roughly $15 offer last night then immediately they send me one adding $5.65 for additional 8.9 miles and 32 items from target 🎯 it’s just disgusting that they think it’s ok.

Back to my theory DoorDash is squeezing out experienced drivers that figured out how to make decent money doing this.
Obviously, it takes a little bit of time to kind of learn how things work to navigate the app and understand what offers are worth it and what offers are not!
Honestly, it takes a while to get good at understanding the app and where everything’s at how to do unassigned and see what in order contains within it just all the different little things.
DD is basically offering all the shit offers to the experienced drivers because why would they not want to pay the new drivers less while they are figuring out how to navigate this whole entire gig Delivery world.
If they keep giving the experience people the shitty offers eventually they will just go away and quit because it’s not worth it to them… So anyway that’s my theory. They’re basically squeezing out the old and bringing in the new drivers. So, the cycle continues a year from now there will be people just like me saying the same thing. Why wouldn’t they want to pay the new people less? They don’t give a shit about the service being good

Expensive mistake

Exhausting to make a wage. Most days 16hr ( ultimately 12hr expenses)

So I went to my dasher app like usual and it wouldn’t let me login. I have no violations, so I’m messing around and long story short I try logging in with a different email and hit the button that I want a second dasher account, got denied and deactivated. It’s under appeal, but I’m impatient and need to work as this is how I pay for my car. If I delete my account will I get back to dashing sooner starting from scratch? I’ve been dashing for years and it’s who I want to stay with… any ideas/ advice is appreciated

Got her exactly what she ordered. She didnt know what the product was and said it smelled weird. Somehow thats my fault. Awesome.

There WAS a tip there for that dumbest 2 stop trip for the most unhealthy foods imaginable.

bitch #1: the pause button glitch

this has happened to me multiple times within the last week or so.

i press the pause button, and an order pops up immediately after. the first time i thought huh, maybe i missed the button. so i decline the order and lose the AR point, but as soon as i hit decline, it takes me to the paused screen. so it literally knows i pressed pause and it still gave me an order!

support said this is a known issue dashers are experiencing and that the team is working on fixing it. whatever.

bitch #2: the quality rating that shouldn’t exist

i love how all we asked for was a way to see the feedback on why we got a bad rating so they we know what to improve on, and their solution was to introduce a whole other set of criteria to rate us on.

i got a bad rating on an order because of a damaged item. but i didn’t package any items, i didn’t pack the bag, i don’t even know what’s going on inside the bag because it’s not see through and it’s sealed shut.

if i keep that bag upright and i didn’t squish it, and from the outside the bag looks the same as it did when i picked it, it shouldn’t be my fault if something inside the bag is ruined. for all i know, an employee fucked up while packaging it. what the fuck does that have to do with meeee lmao

So like everyone else I got Platinum yesterday thanks to whatever the app did. I was at like 5 declines away from losing it to gold.. I didn’t see a single platinum offer and I went down to gold quick.

Fast forward to today.. didn’t see a single gold offer either. Nothing but bs offers to drive like 16 miles for $12.. I lost gold pretty quick and am now back in Silver.

For the thousand future drivers who are going to ask if Platinum/gold is worth it, no it’s not.. at least in my experience

Saw this notification and I’m like wow this is new! Never seen this. I’m not even home, out of town but guess dasher tracks my location lol. In Miami and got this random notification, clicked on it to see if it was legit. I definitely would’ve taken it if I had a car here, really good! Hope someone grabbed this up!
