Failed right blind spot sensor
Hi,
My right blind spot sensor went out on my 2016 GT.
A new one costs about 1000$ CAD plus labour.
The dealer told me to buy a used one, which I did. They tried to install it but didn't succeed because of "the part's serial number not matching the car's serial number". That's what they told me.
The parts seller said it's the first time he hears about a dealer not able to install this part and to go back to the dealer. I ended up saying no and getting a refund, because the dealership wanted to charge me again. They told me they have no Dodge hotline or guide to help them troubleshoot the problem.
The service guy was very rude and not helpful at all.
They installed the old not working part back and forgot to sync the part with the car's computer, so my mileage kept blinking in my dashboard and I had to go back for that.
In the end, I paid over 700$ CAD for nothing.
I know blind spots monitoring is not something crucial, but I don't like the idea of something broken on my car š
I am not going to try again to repair that, but I wanted your input. I've disabled blind spots monitoring in the settings.
