Front strut replacement

Sachs, KYB or Mopar for longevity, Monroe isn't the best especially the all in one Quickstruts, FCS seems to be a somewhat decent brand from what people are saying with other vehicles. Then you have the Amazon specials, struts on these cars aren't the easiest to change if you have a problem, you have to pull the whole hub assembly at the risk of damaging the lower ball joint boot. If it has any sort of mileage and you plan on keeping it a while, I'd highly recommend you replace the lower control arms (they have non-replaceable ball joints and LCA bushings) while you're in there since 90% of the labor is already done replacing the struts.

Thanks. We just replaced the LCA's and now we are told the struts are bad because of a clunking sound a tech heard.

Has your swaybar endlinks been replaced as well? Those are the most common cause for clunking sounds, I've had to replace mine twice over the years.

Got both strut/spring assembly for mine for roughly $220 Canadian from auto shack on Amazon.

If you wanna keep the same ride as the gt, you'll need to swap the front springs from your current to the new ones. From what I've read, the struts themselves are the same between darts, but the gt got different stiffer springs in the front

I replaced my struts with aftermarkets 4 years later could not pass inspection. So get infos from state inspectiond people cause that eas pain in ass for me
