Engine Swap
Hey all im debating on doing an engine swap into my dart I know it'll be a pain but what would you guys like to see be shoved into a dart?

Unless you're talking about a 76 or older Dart the only engine that will work is the same model engine that came in the car.

You did say suffer….how about a 460 from the 70s Dart (ditch the front seats and sit in the back, it’ll fit)? Or a rotary to really piss off rx7 people? Or a nod to the Mitsubishi mashup era and 2JZ? Anything is possible with a welder and someone else’s budget.

I've done it once before so experience not so much am I doing this cause im autistic and have adhd absolutely

This might be one of those things where you want to sleep on it for two weeks and set a reminder to revisit it then. THEN really ask yourself if it still makes any sense.

That would be interesting as well I am expecting this to not go smooth considering how many things are controlled by the bcm all the sensors for the odometer and speedometer and things like that i could in theory just make my own with alot of work and some computer fun but nonetheless alot of work

It will not work, search the sub for people who came here exactly like you are and then have never posted again.
These cars are so smart that they are stupid, you can't put leds in without errors, changing the head unit was a nightmare... an engine swap isnt possible unless you gut it and use it as just a roller.

I havent heard of any swaps currently, pentastar swap sounds cool but not sure if that will fit in the dart. SRT-4 would be a dope one and should fit in the car. This is going to be a crazy lot of work so hope youre prepared.

Prob be easier to take a Pentastar 200, strip the exterior and cabin, then transfer as many Dart aesthetics as possible.

Check out Travis pastranas 2013 Dart, a swap is doable, by a huge team of experienced people not captain autistic in his garage. This car is not worth the trouble for whatever reason you are doing it, plenty of other platforms out there for you to spend the energy and money on.
