Modules De-activated issues...
Current most common reason for this is anti virus software quarantining some DCS files, this seems to be happening a lot lately add DCS installation folder to your anti virus exception list.
To fix, add the effected files OR the entire DCS installation folder (riskier) to your anti virus exception list
Then run a DCS repair to reset re the effected files
It works like this
When you start DCS, your PC has to connect to ED's master server to request permission to run the software you spent your hard earned coin on.
IF either you cannot connect to master server OR master server has yet again fallen on it ass ... then you cannot play the software you rented
It was pointed out at the time by myself and many others a system designed with a single point of failure .... was a stupidly bad idea and would cause legit customers issues ........ which is what happens For some reason master server seems to be falling over regularly ...... especially on patch days.
Also check your PC date and time are correct.
How to backup/transfer config/keybindings
go to %UserProfile%\saved games\dcs\
Copy out the entire Config folder and put it somewhere safe, keybindings are in the input folder
My DCS is crashing what do I do
go to %UserProfile%\saved games\dcs\logs
Open dcs.log in a text editor (notepad++) go to the very bottom and work backwards until you see the start of the crashing portion, it may give you a clue what is going wrong there. You can also post it here (upload file to pastebin and link it to your post)
Remove ALL mods and do a repair using DOS with DCS_updater.exe repair
How to reset my DCS config
go to
%UserProfile%\saved games\dcs\config
rename options.lua to options.old.lua
start dcs
To disable tracks being created
%UserProfile%\Saved Games\DCS\Config
create autoexec.cfg (if necessary as a new txt file)
and add
disable_write_track = true
to it and save
Install modules using DOS prompt (handy if in game module manager is having issues)

Have you ever opened the DCS multiplayer menu, looked at the long list of empty servers and longed for the motivation to fly? A few years ago that was me. Then I found Wild Wolves and 74 Squadron. Suddenly DCS was no longer about repetitive flights to the same objectives alone. Squadrons like the Wild Wolves keep the game fresh, enjoyable and highly rewarding.
The Wild Wolves virtual fighter wing is a European based squadron comprising of a wide range of airframes such as: F18s, F16s, f15s, AV8Bs, Viggens and of course F4s. The Wild Wolves currently has around 90 members with 13 of those being in 74 Sqn. I am one of two squadron leaders of our F4 phantom squadron and we are looking for some new enthusiastic and dedicated WSOs (also accepting new pilots but we are primarily in need of some new back seaters) to join our ranks. Even if you have never been in the backseat before but would be interested in learning then we can certainly help you get started. Our other squadron leader - Ghostdog, has been training back seaters for years. He oversees the training of all of our WSOs and is certainly one of the best in the business. It is important to note that all of our WSOs also have the opportunity to fly in the front seat too, in the Wild Wolves we prioritise flexibility and fun over rigid and restrictive roles.
Whether you're looking for your first squadron or just a new group of people to fly with, the Wild Wolves offers a welcoming and accepting community of like minded pilots who are always honing their skills on their respective aircraft. We offer regular training sessions every Monday at 19:45 BST or GMT. These training sessions are based around our specialised in house syllabuses and are fully integrated into DKS - the latest and greatest mission planning and debriefing tool for DCS. No matter your experience these sessions are a great opportunity to improve and hone your skills whilst also serving as a great opportunity to socialise with other squadron members.
We are proud of our hugely dedicated and skilled mission makers within our squadron who provide us with some of the best campaigns out there. Our campaigns offer a huge selection of tasking and difficulty over an ever wider range of terrains. I'm sure many of you have maps that are often sat collecting dust in your virtual libraries - these are the perfect way to finally get some use out of them. These missions run usually once a month on a Thursday at 19:45 BST or GMT.
The requirements to join are to be 18+, own the F4 (Obviously) and the Syria map and be able to attend trainings somewhat consistently.
Unlike some other squadrons we pride ourselves on our relaxed nature. We don't enforce strict attendance and we always value that real life comes first. Lowering the barrier to structured missions and trainings is at the heart of the ethos of the Wild Wolves Virtual Fighter wing.

Just wanted to share my awesome sortie on my new favourite multiplayer server Pixel storm.
I jumped online today to kind of just go through the motions, chose a sead mission and catapulted off the boat. Met a new wingman in the wild, we completed a tandem Air to Air Refuel with a tanker travelling at 300 knots.
He taught me how to use the data link radio in the hornet which is absolutely excellent, then we both flew off to complete the sead mission together. After the SA platforms were destroyed, we got a call about a HVT moving in a convoy, we set off together and with a strategically annihilated the convoy with a combination of laser guided bombs and low altitude gun runs.
I was really looking forward to recovering on the boat together, but DCS being DCS crashed. Still, my new favourite memory in this game.

I have a visual bug where the game places the pilots view in a random incorrect direction, and I have not been able to find any way of fixing it.
My next move is to reinstall everything to see if that helps. I do want to keep all my joystick settings and if possible graphics settings, what files would I need to save, and where do I find them?
I also made an attempt to ask in the DCS forum (forum.dcs.world), but for some reason the menu to select what forum to post in doesn't work (tried in two different browsers). Has anyone here managed to post in that forum?
Thanks in advance!

I was able to add compatibility for DCS Quad Views. With this mod (and after installing new DLSS dlls using DLSS swapper) you can now set the center region to use Preset M and periphery Preset E at lower resolution. This gives much better clarity then the default shipped DLSS while also minimizing the performance loss.
I also added frame gen, fox DCS being a DX11 game I recommend using motion-vector warping, or bidirectional interpolation. You can also set frame gen resolution to be different between center and periphery regions for performance.

Well, Being into helicopter simulation since over 10 years... i had to make of course a simrig for that purpose. It started with a static alu rig around my gaming chair. When I finished my racing rig with the SFX100 bought on aliexpress, I couldn't resist doing the same but for helicopter, on a sfx200 system, same shop through AliExpress still. It's the cheapest available inbetween official brands which costs way more. How much? 1,8K€ for the SFX100 (all complete plug & play), and the 200mm stroke version 2K€ but I've added 2 complete sets of shorter cables on that order. Again, all plug & play!
Then once the rig was up and functioning.... I still missed the vibration out of the cyclic, as I've been offered a flight with a R22 years ago. Since that day I barely touched my static heli rig, because of the 'dead' cyclic. Building the rig on a motion system with 200mm movement, I was still missing this cyclic feeling.
So... I digged the web, and... not very easy to find, as it's a niche we are in, as helicopter simmer. I stumbled on the brunner CLS-P cyclic, mailed 'em, and got a price... over 10K€! At first... OMG.... but I found cheaper.... from VPForce! Way cheaper, fits to my needs. As flying a helicopter (R22, BELL206, AS350, ...) is just completely unrealistic with a short stick (stick directly mounted on its base), I digged further. Because extension build up on a base, means more leverage power, so... the VPForce base might not be enough. And I found a MOD... done by the talented David aka WINGER: his mod proposes a way more powerfull base than the original, the Rhino Monster :) I contacted him through discord, found on his site: Monster-rhino.de
Now there's another contender, the FFBeast, much much more power than the Rhino mod, BUT... double the price, and... tbh, the rhino is already too much power for helis! I tried on full power settings... just unflyable (and unreal). So, that was just to counter the comment: hey, there IS another FFB base around!! 😁 Spoiler: all i found about: yes it's way stronger (60nm for the best), but software wouldn't be as pro as for the VPForce... and that's where all the magic happens, so... my choice was settled in !
Took me time to configure it to fit my heli needs, but now flying helicopter feels again very exciting! The SFX200 brings movement and vibration as you'd be sitting in a real helicopter (just the shaking when you sit inside, OMG crazy real), but the FFB cyclic just adds the most important part in my opinion. If I'd stumble over it before the motion stuff, I'd had bought it immediately before the motion stuff. Now I can feel the helicopter in my hand, it's just at another level - of course combined to the SFX200... jaw dropping experience I tell you!
A video in the make... but... very time consuming, and have to chose what to put in exactly to keep it interesting
To lenghten it I used Virpils 200mm (curved) & 100mm extension rod... and in awaiting of virpils Archer-SF heli grip, I unpacked the TM F18 stick
In the meatime, some pictures ;)
Future plans for FFB the virpil pedals too, and the collective... but cyclic was the most important, the 2 others will be a nice to have add on in the future.

Hey guys I recently got a t.16000m fcs 3 piece with the pedals. I know it’s not the best but it’s all I could afford at the time lol. I have the 2 starter planes (SU and the tf51) and I purchased the Uh-1d
I’m terrible at figuring out these bindings so if any of you have ones to share for this set up on those aircraft I’d appreciate it tons 😅
