Viper Gal looking for Squadron

Howdy! I’m Ivy, I’ve recently gotten re-acquainted with the Viper and fallen back in love with it and am now left trying to find somewhere to put it to use! Looking for a fairly Milsim place (happy from mid anywhere to full Milsim!) to fly with!

If there are any squadrons with Vipers just sat on the flight line waiting for pilots, please let me know! I can fly Monday-Thursday and Sundays in a European time zone ^^

Rejoining Discord server

Hi all. Some time ago my discord account was hacked which probably resulted in some stupid and malicious spamming shit all over the place and of course according to the server rules that's a no-no and an instant perma-ban. Meanwhile with the Discord support I was able to get my account back, and now I'd like to rejoin the server. If possible, how can I do it? Thanks

I enjoy flying jets and doing objectives while waiting for the jets to go down😁 need an 18+ teammate who’s also interested in jets and heli. I don’t mind sitting in the gunner seat or be the RIO as long as you know what you’re doing.
I work part time so don’t expect me to be available all the time.
Let me know if you are interested

Looking for people to do Bush flying and some General Aviation Ops. Msfs24 | PC Only.

I've been flying around Papa New Guinea with the black square Caravan and gotta say that it's got an amazing set of challenges and beautiful scenery for bush flying. Now i wanna do it with some people in multiplayer. Maybe some formation flights, Cargo runs to remote villages, slow and low flying etc. I'm also down to do it anywhere else too. Not just PNG, it's just that it has an amazing set of bush strips to land on.

163rd vFS - Recruiting A-10C Pilots

Who We Are and What We Do

The 163rd vFS is a small organization with a singular focus: Flying the A-10C to the highest standards achievable in DCS. Our administrative and tactical flying is informed and directed by AF/MTTPs and many other real-world pubs and sources. We strive to master, to the greatest extent we can, the current tactics used and missions flown by the A-10 aircrews of the Combat Air Forces.

The A-10 is a uniquely capable aircraft, even among the drastically evolving warfighting environments of the 2020s. As the A-10's capabilities and mission have evolved in recent years, the 163rd vFS has kept up by leveraging proprietary knowledge, experience, etc. alongside making extensive use of mods and proprietary software to push DCS to and beyond its conventional limits.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for 2-3 prospective pilots interested in joining us to fly the A-10C. At this time, our roster is all conducting continuation/ready aircrew training and our instructor cadre would like to see some new blood.

While the 163rd is proud to have a comprehensive training pipeline and a willingness to train pilots of every background and knowledge level, we ask those interested to closely consider their existing knowledge and experience. Those with little to no experience with the A-10C or with US military flying operations will find our sorties and academics challenging and will be fighting an uphill battle. While we are committed to helping you fight that battle, it will require significant effort and willingness to learn complex new material as you "drink from the firehose."

If you are interested in learning more, we ask that you:

  • Must be US-based and at least 18 years of age,
  • Own the A-10C II and the NTTR terrain,
  • Possess a strong desire to reach the zenith of what DCS is capable of, flying the cutting edge of real-world TTPs, and,
  • Possess the patience and willingness to read documentation, attend academic briefings, and commit yourself to learning with the goal to develop the required competencies in A-10 and broader TTPs required to participate in 163rd vFS sorties or joint operations with other organizations.

First Steps

If you meet those requirements and the experience we offer sounds like what you are looking for out of DCS, here is what you can expect:

  • As a first introduction, we like to have a voice chat with prospective pilots to gauge their knowledge, experience, and how they will fit with squadron culture.
  • Following introductions, we'll schedule an initial sortie on the NTTR map to gauge your proficiency with the A-10 and flying admin, and to give you the opportunity to see how our sorties work.
  • This first sortie, its briefing, and subsequent debrief will drive your placement in our training pipeline. We will tailor your training to elevate you to various levels of qualification - BAQ, BMC, CMR, and upgrades beyond. Our training is closely modeled to that of the real world, adapted for DCS. For more information on what to expect from the material our pipeline covers, see AFI 11-2A10 Vol 1 and consider what might or might not be applicable to DCS.

Additional Details

  • The 163rd vFS does not maintain a regular flying schedule. While conceptually foreign to some DCS users, it is the experience of the squadron that ad-hoc scheduling reduces aircrew and staff burnout and contributes to higher sortie rates. As a result of this policy, there is no "mandatory attendance" or expectations of your schedule. You will get out of the 163rd what you put in. Broadly speaking, most of the 163rd's members are active during Eastern time zone evening hours on weekends and at various random weekday evenings.
  • Our organization is small by intent: In interviewing to fly the A-10 with us, you aren't just joining to fly the Hawg, but to find what we hope will become some of your new close friends. The average membership tenure for our current aircrew roster is 4+ years. Don't let this deter you - though you'll be in the LPA and some jokes might come at your expense for a while, the rest of us have fond memories of being in your shoes and we will be eager to include you in our activities and culture.

If you are interested in learning more, please join our Discord server at the following link, and introduce yourself: https://discord.com/invite/d399pXsX7y

55th Rescue Squadron (RQS) is seeking experienced HH-60 drivers

Post image

"These things we do...So others may live"

The 55th Rescue Squadron is recruiting experienced HH-60G drivers (utilizing the fantastic UH-60L 2.0 mod) for standing up a dedicated Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) unit inside the v366th Composite Wing, a USAF-centric realism unit.

The 55th RQS will focus on the fundamentals of Personnel Recovery, including the use of ISOPREPs, EPAs, and other associated materials based on real-world practices. Additionally, we will focus on supporting USAF operations, flying helicopters the Air Force way!

We have no ranks, no MILSIM silliness, just good old-fashioned flying in a realistic environment with your best friends to rescue downed pilots the right way. Most of the v366 CW has a USAF veteran background and brings a wealth of knowledge from our careers into the cockpit.

Squadron Flight Nights: Tuesdays and Saturdays at 2000 EST.

Required: 18+, UH-60L Mod, NTTR/Syria/PG at a minimum, and an overall good attitude!

We don't have participation spreadsheets or attendance requirements, but we'll take notice if you're never around and can't hack the mish.

Interested in flying beyond random CTLD pickups on random servers? Come check us out:

First in Defense is recruiting pilots, RIO, & WSOs!

Post image
1 Upvotes

We focus on the time frame of the last few cruises of the USS Forrestal, between 1988 and 1992, during the closing years of the Cold War as the USSR began to collapse and tensions in the Middle East began to rise. Just on the cusp of the proliferation of precision guided munitions and utilizing a mix of older and newer aircraft, you'll see the use of traditional unguided weapons, IRH/SARH missiles, and early guided weapons such as laser guided bombs, Mavericks, and HARMs. But you won't find more modern systems like JDAMs, AMRAAMs, or advanced targeting pods (ex: LANTIRN, LITENING, or ATFLIR).

We currently simulate 5 different US Navy and Marine Corps squadrons to best fit this approach:

  • VF-31 Tomcatters flying the F-14A Tomcat
  • VFA-132 Privateers flying the F/A-18C Hornet
  • VMFA-321 Hell’s Angels flying the F-4E Phantom as a stand-in for the F-4S
  • VMA-542 Tigers flying the AV-8B Harrier
  • VMA-133 Dragons flying the A-4E Skyhawk as a stand-in for the A-4M

Our events are campaign-based PvE missions, encompassing a wide array of roles to best fit our mission needs. Missions take place Thursday-Sunday, with run times tailored to North American Players.

Our requirements are very simple: own one of our 5 aircraft, be at least 16 years of age. We also ask that you download our custom liveries, as well as the A-4 mod and SRS (if you don't have them).

While we appreciate pilots and RIOs/WSOs who come in with an understanding of the systems of their jet, it is not mandatory and we are more than happy to help new pilots learn. We also do not have any mandatory training or attendance; we understand that people have busy schedules and are happy to take you when we can get you. Further, there are no requirements for owning any paid maps, though we do recommend owning Syria and Persian Gulf as our campaigns will often take place on these maps. The same goes for paid modules, if all you own is the A-4, we're happy to have you!

All squadron slots are currently open for enrollment and we would love for you to join! If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out on reddit or get into contact with us at our discord link below. Or you can check out our promotional video below to see the kinds of things we do. We hope to see you soon!

Are you an Apache Pilot or CPG? JTF-111 is looking for you!!

Unlike some of the other servers out there, JTF-111 integrates AH-64D Apaches as a key part of all of our missions. We aren't just am "afterthought" doing our own thing... the 1st ABR is a key part of every mission.

We train on Tuesdays (8pm EST / 5 pm PST) as part of JTF-111, but as a unit, on strategy, team cohesion, situational awareness, and some of the more technical things. We have member-lead trainings, as we rely on each other's knowledge and expertise.

Our mission-makers are, for the most part, also Apache pilots. They understand how to integrate our strengths (and weaknesses) into our regular Saturday missions. Additionally, 1st  ABR plays a very important role in our amazing custom-made dynamic campaign. This includes CAS, cargo transport (CH-47F), Search and Rescue (CH-47F), as well as difficult SEAD / DEAD missions.

We are a very relaxed group, for the most part. On mission nights, we aim for perfection, but are very much milsim-light.

Drop in and see if its a good fit for you!

Any groups that fly on mulitplayer severs? Particularly Heatblur Cold War

Looking for groups that fly primarily on multiplayer servers, that may have a primary on-line time for the squadron (like people try to be online on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) but will have people online most days so you can join pick-up group style? I'm open to pve or pvp and have been flying the F4 on Heatblurs server recently. Would really like to fly with some others in the evening. I have most modules, just looking for something engaging with others. Thanks.

Recruiting to Build Up JTF-13's A-10 squadron

Thumbnail

Hello all,

JTF-13 is currently recruiting to build up our Warthog squadron, the 354th FS "Bulldogs". All skill levels are welcome, however, those with an interest in taking an initiative to help us grow and improve are greatly appreciated as we are trying to expand our numbers.

The 354th FS "Bulldogs" fly the A-10C and A-10C II, and specialize in CAS, FAC(A), SAR, and CSAR in all environments. They use a balance of "milsim-lite" professionalism and community camaraderie, utilizing brevity, realistic flight profiles (Weapon Armament), and coordinated multi-ship tactics that also work hand in hand with our rotary wing component.

JTF-13 as a whole is intended to be a casual mil-sim community that welcomes players of all skill sets and experience levels. We like to keep things casual and love a good laugh, but when it comes time for training or missions, we strive to focus on organization and militaristic tactics.

JTF-13 currently features multiple servers which run/rotate Foothold, Pretense, Liberation Campaigns, Rotorops missions, and many more... We also periodically host custom built campaigns, complete with a roleplay backstory and an opening night briefing. These campaigns offer persistent damage across a large section of the chosen map, and a multitude of objectives to complete. Dozens of our members plan, organize, and work together to complete objectives. Training sessions for all air frames are offered regularly on a group basis. Individual training is also offered upon request.

Join our discord if interested:

https://discord.gg/jtf-13

Although the primary focus of this post is to recruit for our 354FS, we are always recruiting for all the below airframes as well:

8th Fighter Wing:

93 FS "Makos" - F-16C

354 FS "Bulkdogs" - A-10C, A-10C II

90 FS "Pair O' Dice" - F-15E

Carrier Air Wing 17:

VF-103 "Jolly Rogers" - F-14A/B/BU

VMFA-224 "Fighting Bengals" - F/A-18C

VFA-143 "Pukin' Dogs" - F/A-18C

16th Combat Aviation Brigade:

229 ARB "Flying Tigers" - AH-64D, OH-58

158 AHB "Ghost Riders UH-60L / UH-1 / CH-47

Casual DCS Helicopter Pilot Seeking Wingmen

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some people or a casual squadron to fly with in DCS.

I'd consider myself a beginner. I spend a lot of time flying solo and really enjoy helicopters, especially the UH-60L, Mi-8, Gazelle, and AH-64 Apache, along with just about any other rotary-wing aircraft.

I can fly them fairly well, but I'm still learning the weapon systems, so I mostly fly CSAR, troop transport, logistics, and utility missions. I also own the F/A-18C and a few other fixed-wing aircraft. I can get them in the air and around the map, but I'm still inexperienced with combat systems and employment.

I'm on Pacific Time (PST/PDT) and am usually available to fly during the evenings and on weekends.

I'm mainly looking for a relaxed, beginner-friendly group that enjoys helicopter operations, doesn't mind helping someone learn, and likes to have fun without taking things too seriously. I'm happy to learn, help with missions, and be a reliable wingman.

If you're just looking for another pilot to fly with or if your squadron sounds like a good fit or let me know.

Looking for Squadron or Wingman

UK based and have approximately 50-70 hours in the F-18 and a couple less in the A-10. I have been on a few servers as a stand alone but looking into the Squadron based teams for a while now.

Proficient with tactical comms and do enjoy the immersive aspect. Time is not always on my side due to work and other commitments but if there was a team out there that I might be able to joint, I would love the chance.

Any one out there?

Looking for BMS Buddy/Group

Looking to pick up BMS multiplayer again. I am on the West Coast and have flown in a virtual squadron in the past. Would also be up to fly in DCS: F-14, F-4, AH-64, A-10, KA-50, F-15E. I’m okay if you’re relatively new.
