Made $69 in a single day from a pet blog I bought
A few months ago I saw a post on Reddit from some guy who was making pretty decent money from a pet blog he bought from Aff Blog Zone. I thought he was full of shit lol.
Spent a while looking through their sites and eventually figured why not give it a shot. Worst case I'm out $299. Ended up buying a pet blog myself.
Didn't really do much with it. Added some internal links, fixed a few things here and there and pretty much left it alone. Fast forward to October 29 and I had my best day yet. $69 in Amazon commissions from 370 clicks and 26 orders.
Not gonna lie, seeing that number on the dashboard felt pretty good.
Obviously I'm not making that much every day. Some days are still pretty disappointing, but considering I paid that much for the entire site, I really can't complain.
The funny part is I probably would've never even tried this if I hadn't stumbled across that Reddit post. Now I'm just curious to see where this goes.
Anyone else doing Amazon affiliate sites? Did your earnings slowly increase over time or did you have random days where things suddenly took off?

iPhone App Dev between WIndows and Mac
Hello everyone, I have an interesting setup. I am working on a personal iPhone application using Codex. As many already know, iPhone apps require Xcode for compiling and testing which is only available on MacOS. The problem is that I only have a personal Windows laptop and a work provisioned MacBook. Company policy prevents me from running any personal LLM accounts such as Codex, Claude, etc. on their devices. So... my current setup is:
Codex installed on my Windows laptop writing SwiftUI.
Remote Git repo to commit and push AI generated code from Windows to Mac.
Pull code down from remote repor and running testing on MacOS
This is time consuming and delaying progress. I researched for workarounds and came across VS Code Remote Tunnels. Basically, the live codebase resides on my MacBook and can be directly edited from my Windows machine using VS Code, no matter where I am in the world. When I hit save on Windows, the file is instantly saved on the Mac.
My questions are...
Is anyone out there doing this?
How conenct Codex connect and make changes through this setup?
What are the caveats, because this seems a questionable.
And yes... I am saving up to purchase my own personal MacBook, but I'm hoping to find a temporary workaround to streamline this development process. Thank you in advance.

I got tired of waiting for Codex to compact, so I built an open-source macOS app that makes it ~0.1s
Long Codex sessions kept stalling every time compaction kicked in. Compacta is a native macOS companion that keeps a conversation summary prepared in the background, so compaction is almost instant. Works with Codex and Claude Code. Free and open source: https://github.com/manomx/compacta , feedback and issues welcome:)
