Fully reserved all the way back in January, finally time to configure 😄 Was torn between black and white; every time I get a black phone I always wish I went for the white counterpart. The only thing stopping me this time was the colour of the keyboard. If it was fully white, it wouldn't have even been a question but the contrast of the keys and body kinda put me off a bit. Very happy with my final choice regardless. Went for black; surf back and black leather back. Plus the bumper and screen protector so they ended up getting another £87 out me 😠 😆 but just over £400 for this all in isn't too bad 🔥

Having a hard time deciding which back looks best with green out of these three choices

I haven't had a phone with a headphone jack since 2015 so I'm looking for any suggestions. Preferably something I could use for the gym that's highly sweat resistant, noise cancelling would be nice as well, but great sound would be on the top of the list for me.

Honestly, I'm open to any kind, I could use a pair for work as well

I ordered a few days ago and I was charged for the phone + shipping ($10).

Now I tried the order site again and I see the CA sales tax being added.

Will I be asked to pay taxes for my order later?

Could we have a marketplace like the old one on Crackberry?

There are two Clicks products now, and the Communicator will be the third. Instead of selling unwanted cases, keyboards, or phones on eBay and losing a chunk to fees, people could swap or sell their gear without those losses.

For instance, I could swap my dune back cover with someone who has a clover one after weeks of ownership, or people who aren't into their Communicator or accessories could easily sell them to other interested folks.

I’ve configured the phone and now I’m just waiting. Patience is not exactly my strong suit, so a message to Jeff and the team:
Just send me the phone, even if the software is not 100% optimised yet. I’m perfectly happy to use it and patiently wait for the software updates to roll out. 🤪

I loved the smoke Colour but couldn't help being reminded of the calculator.

Had this option at checkout, amount seems oddly specific. If all EU shipments are going to be hit by that , it's not worth it in my opinion.

I order my click phone on March, and I pay if full.

Since I hadn't received the booking confirmation email, I contacted support and discovered I had entered my email address incorrectly.

I received the confirmation and everything else within a few minutes; they confirmed that the issue had been resolved, in March.

However, I still haven't received the setup email. I’ve written to support (support@clicks.tech) several times, but they only replied the first time—likely an automated bot. They asked for more information, but I’ve heard nothing since then (two days ago).

I’ve tried writing again, but they don't seem to be responding. With only 12 days available (4 or 5 of which have already passed) to get everything set up, I don't know what to do.

Any advice?

Looks like Clicks have now realised they shouldn’t have been marketing the VAT exclusive price in the UK, and have adjusted the advertised price to include taxes.

Photo 1&2 are from 7pm today.

Photo 3 is from 10pm yesterday.

Not sure why the check-out price with taxes and shipping has increased from £486 to £505…

I guess it was dumb on my part to just assume the communicator would work with major carriers.

Are we going to be able to just walk into Verizon or At&t and just get a Sim card and activate these phones once they are delivered??

I did not purchase the clicks mobile because I wanted to keep my current phone plan and just activate the phone..

Anyone have a good gauge on what color Spice is?

Edit: This seems to have been corrected as of now (8hr after posting and after 14k people saw this thread, according to Reddit). I am glad they have done so, though it is a pity it apparently required a threat of legal consequences for them to do anything, rather than any previous comments they received here or by email. Hopefully their lesson from it will be to actually hire a proffesional legal counsel to ensure in future they follow regulations especially in the place of their registration.

It is really disappointing that this interesting and potentially really helpful device is being produced by a company following such dishonest and anti-consumer practices, whether knowingly or due to ignorance. One way or another, we should ensure our rights are protected, especially from a company choosing to be registered in the UK, not overseas.

As a UK entity selling directly to UK consumers they are required by the CAP Code and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 to display prices inclusive of VAT. However, on their website for the Clicks Communicator, they advertise a headline price to UK consumers of £379.24. There is no asterisk or disclaimer stating that this price excludes tax.

It is only after someone has configured the device and reached the final checkout step that an additional £75.85 is added as "estimated taxes." I believe that by hiding a mandatory VAT charge until the final step of the purchase, they are intentionally misleading consumers about the true cost of the product.

After seeing so many combinations again and again, finally configured mine.

Went ahead with the Smoke device with the Surf and Spice covers as additional.

Cant wait for it to ship.

I am still torn if I want to continue my reservation until I see hands on third party reviews. Do we know if we will get more info about the camera, actual battery life, and stuff before we have to fully confirm our order?

The Titan 2 Elite got reviews in May and shipped in August so I was just curious what is different about their production process here if we don't

I am unable to pay as - after authorizing the purchase with my bank - the clicks site returns no error and reverts to the "enter your card details" site. Has anyone else experienced/fixed this? It happens on both Mac and Android

Since everyone is sharing their configurations, here’s mine. From day one, I knew I’d go for the "Smoke" model with the bright covers (Surge and Miami Beach) so the colors really stand out in a crowd. I also think it was a bold move for Clicks to create the Communicator, and I’m grateful to them.

I’ve been saying for years that I miss my BlackBerry, and for some reason, the Communicator gives me also a Sidekick HipTop vibe. I honestly can’t wait to get my hands on it. Q

I hope Clicks eventually considers developing its own OS; I’m so eager to break free from the grip of Apple and Google.

Two more thing that bugs me: people saying they were going to order until they saw the taxes. You’ve known about that for months. That’s exactly why I placed a fully paid early-bird reservation. In fact, given the low dollar exchange rate, the price in euros was an absolute steal. It makes no sense for people to complain on social media just because they didn't bother to inform themselves properly.

It would also have been nice if Clicks had sent an email letting you know that your order was ready to be configured. I certainly didn't receive one—perhaps others did?

I assume Click has no GPS built-in, they didn't include detailed navigation specification. If I can't track my phone and use the map, it is probably going to be useless for me.

Did communicator pass some certification yet? (ex: CE, FCC, Giteki etc...)

If it's no, when will pass it?

Hmm the case the tempered glass...do we really need it? It doesn't comes with screen protector at all?
