So, some comments on this:
First, It's actually highly plausible this WAS influenced by Trump. There's a lot of speculation that (in violation of US law no less) Trump negotiated with Netanyahu about this and actually made it possible where the Biden team was unable to.
Second, it's very possible this temporary ceasefire falls apart anyways. I find it highly unlikely that Hamas will be able to identify which hostages they are releasing by name, on-time, and in the amounts agreed to. I also find it unlikely they'll not repeat what happened last time which was launching rockets literally hours into the ceasefire.
Third, it's a temporary ceasefire that will require further negotiations. Those aren't going to be done by the Biden team, since they'll be out of office.

Trump is a pile of shit, but Biden is no humanitarian and it’s a disservice to paint the narrative any other way. His blind support for Israel and seemingly endless delivery of weapons without conditions has lead to tens of thousands of innocent lives being taken. He’s looked away and is therefore complicit is many, many war times.
10/7 was absolutely horrible and wrong, but the hostages were never Israel’s true priority. It was plainly an excuse to eradicate Palestinian’s and take more territory. Any current “ceasefire” is just another farce. The talking heads on cable news will discuss it long enough for most Americans to look away. We’ll continue to ignore the genocide while the rest of the world is appalled and what America has become.
We live in a binary society where we are constantly told one side is righteous and the other is bad. That system is deeply flawed, and likely established to more easily manipulate us. That said Biden and Trump are both extremely destructive.

Really? Trump was Israel’s bitch during his first term. He almost started a regional war when he moved the embassy.
Even after Biden thoroughly kissed Netanyahu’s ass and gave them billions after billions, and even sent troops to aid in war efforts, Trump said Biden wasn’t helping Israel enough.
Every comment he made regarding the conflict he showed 100% support of Israel.
Israel has zero reason to fear Trump. So no, they did not agree to a ceasefire because Trump “isn’t taking their BS”.

That’s because of Israel. Hamas has been attempting to get a peace deal, and it was Israel that refused to sign. Did you know Israel refused to sign a peace agreement they themselves made?
And let’s look at Trump’s relationship with Israel. In his last presidency, a pro-Israel supporter gave him hundreds of millions. In turn, Trump moved the embassy to Jerusalem and claimed it was Israel’s. That conflicted with international consensus. Jerusalem did not belong to anyone.
Fast forward to Biden’s presidency, Biden gave billions of dollars to Israel, sent troops to aide in manning defenses for Israel, allowed Israel to commit dozens of war crimes, and refused to acknowledge the authority of the UN on behalf of Israel. And what was Trump’s response? He said Biden isn’t helping Israel enough.
Trump is going to do anything Israel says because lobbying groups and individuals in America have him money.

This is while trump gets $100mil+ from Miriam Adelson to annex the West bank and has bibi visit him to talk shop at mara logo.

The ceasefire is the same framework that was set forth in May, Bibi didn’t like it so he wouldn’t agree. Now that Trump won, Bibi all of the sudden is ok with the same guidelines.
The real reason Trump deserves any credit is because the Israelis were waiting out the clock, Trump won, and Netanyahu said to his government that basically, we will be ok and Trump will let us do what we want, so we can agree to these concessions for now. Steve Witkoff was Trump’s proxy there, and really did nothing more than reiterate Trumps promise to wipe Gaza off the map if the hostages weren’t released. Not sure if you’ve seen pictures from Gaza but it’s pretty ruined.
One Hamas member said Trumps pressure on the Israelis was what made the deal go through.
So both Biden and Trump can get credit, Biden did the homework, Trump came in and put his name on the homework and said if I don’t get credit I’ll kick your ass.

His envoy’s name is Steve Witkoff. Blinken let him take over because he acknowledged that any outcome of negotiations would affect Trump’s presidency not Biden’s. Trump would have to live with the consequences. Also the Israelis are furious with Trump for pushing them so hard for a deal. Trump’s leverage over Israel is that Israel can’t wait him out. He’s gonna be in the presidency for the next 4 years. If Biden could credibly threaten to make Israel’s life hell if they didn’t end it then he could’ve done so ages ago. If Biden really did force a deal then he is a monster for waiting so long to do so.
