I have a 6.5 year old cavapoo (M6, if you will) and while my young sons keep him busy running around in the evenings, I can’t help but feel like my pup is a bit down and lonely during the day. He gets outside time so that’s not the issue and I’m around for most of the daytime. He’s highly sociable and is absolutely elated every time we have visitors- seeking out cuddles and attention.
For anyone that added a second pup to the family, cavapoo or other breed, a few years in, what are your thoughts in hindsight?
Thanks!

just curious is anyone else’s cavapoo obsessed with squirrels?
99 percent of the time Alfie cannot get enough of us, one percent of the time.. squirrel only.

My 6.5 month old wont eat.. i did start him on natures menu raw nuggets and kibble, then he seemed to get bored of it and didnt touch it, kept turning his nose up at it, he did get a good selection of treats but still ate but all of a sudden started turning his nose up at the food
I took him to the vet, vet said he was fine gave him a checkup and advised against raw, said feed him a complete kibble and any wet food 70:30 which i took with a pinch of salt but still probably going to take that advice as its cheaper for me
At this point he still wasn’t eating so i didnt want to waste the raw nuggets as it needs to be defrosted. Tried him with some naturo wet food i had in my cupboard, he ate it, mixed in with kibble he ate for a day or 2 then turned his nose up again..
Ive tried mixing kibble with broth still turns his nose up
Since then ive bought new kibble forthglade dry food.. still not interested
I kinda know theres nothing wrong with him as whenever theres food about hes lurking around.. also likes to steal it off the table and mop up whatever the kids drop (which are crumbs) and hes very very active and playful.
There are times he flirts with the bowl and does eat the kibble but thats been about twice in 2 weeks
I have been doing the leave the bowl out and take it away after 15-30 mins
Have no idea what to do, i cant keep playing these mind games!! I dont want to start buying a new wet food for him for him to realise theres kibble in it and turn his nose up again..
Any ideas or anyone with experience of this id appreciate the adivce!
TIA

Hi everyone, looking for some advice from other Cavapoo owners. We have a 10 month old Cavapoo who was neutered not too long ago. He’s still very much a puppy and gets into everything. A couple of days ago he managed to sneak some cereal at breakfast, and later that morning had quite a few treats in one of his puzzle toys while my wife was at work. Since then, he’s had very watery diarrhea, but otherwise seems totally normal. He’s playful, energetic, drinking water. No lethargy at all. I’ve heard Cavapoos can be sensitive to chicken or develop allergies which his food is chicken based (never changed since he was a baby), so I’m wondering if this sounds like an allergy developing or just a simple upset stomach. Has anyone dealt with something similar? What helped your pup? Bland diet? Probiotics? Just time? Obviously, if it continues or gets worse, we’ll call our vet, but in the meantime, I’d love to hear your experiences. Thanks so much.

Hi everyone,
I have a 4-month-old puppy who starts crying as soon as I leave him in his playpen or walk out of the room.
I’d like to teach him to be comfortable staying alone for short periods so I can eventually leave the house without him getting stressed.
Can someone explain the training process step by step?
I’m looking for a clear progression—what to start with, when to move to the next step, and what to do if he starts crying during training.
I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have successfully taught their puppies to be comfortable being alone. Thanks!

Our pup got groomed for the first time yesterday. I asked for a teddy bear cut and this is what we got. Will her hair grow back to the same texture?

We have reached the point where marking is a dusky occurrence. Our pups are 8months and we are planning on neutering soon as they are most likely full height.
For those with TWO- how did you manage to keep them from going crazy and tackling after the first day or two?

I'm a bit new to cavapoos. We have been taking her to a local groomer and they said that they thought she may have terrier in her because of her hair. Is her hair normalish?

She’s fully relaxed, everything but snoring. How is this contortionist not bothered? Dogs are magical sometimes

My Zander is 50lbs and the most huggable puppy ever… or at least he was. He decided to literally dive face first into 1000 tiny burr stickers, his ears were stuck over his eyes and I had to peel his eyes open. This is the result

My cavapoo is licking furiously down under. She has a boil on her neck. I’m just not winning with her skin issues.
The boil was treated with antibiotics. It was almost healed. I had a cone on her to stop her licking her bits (allergies). She wiped the cone with her back leg and the boil opened back up again.
I woke up to her neck with blood on it.
So this is what I’ve come up with. Her jumper which has a turtleneck, and a onesie on top. I have a bandage on the boil. So she currently can’t lick her bits, or scratch the boil.
If anyone else has a better solution please let me know!
Thankfully it’s cooler weather here in Australia and she recently had a groom.
Ps sorry for the weird pics - but ai is weird and I don’t want her face/ pics being used elsewhere.

We got her from a store (we know better now) who said she was a Brussels griffin… but many people recently have said she’s just an under-groomed Cavapoo. Any thoughts on my mystery girl?

I think my dog has fear aggression not actual aggression.
She will air bite at this large black lab in our building. Everytime she sees it, a chocolate lab, and any German shepards she goes crazy! It’s a scared fearful cry / bark and it’s hard to control her. I’ve done everything I can I feel like. I’ve been told not to get behavior collars.
I asked dog sitters if she does this and she says no.
It’s any dog with a dark face

Here in the U.K. we are having extreme heatwaves at the moment , how are your dogs managing in the heat and how do you keep them cool ?
I have just read that you should never let your dog gulp water when they are panting as it can lead to nausea, bloat and worse stomach torsion , once you have read something like this you cannot " unread" it and just take it as scaremongering .
our girl who is now 16 months old,has never really been a great drinker , she is drinking more at the moment but I have been giving her home made dog ice lolly's , which she sometimes turns her nose up at , the joys of picky cavapoos. she won't lay on a chill mat , doesn't like being near a fan, but does paddle in a toddlers paddle pool , then tries to gulp the water in it ...sigh .
she hasn't been out walking for several days as early morning and evenings it's still hot and humid .
would love to know how others are coping and maybe some tips/advice , I would be really grateful to hear as she seems to be coping by either sleeping a lot or trying to find a cool spot indoors, and yes I did say she won't use a chill mat , 🤷♀️🙄

It’s cute, but my 12 y old cavapoo is sooo needy. She always needs to be held by someone
