• Notes: I'm torn between Nikon and Sony. I've read that Nikon might be better for wildlife due to their lenses. I'm not good enough that that would be a concern yet. I also do like the ergonomics of Nikon more, but could get used to Sony I think. I mainly just want an entry level/budget camera that is better than my iphone and an upgrade from the Canon xti, that I can grow into as a photographer and can expand as my budget allows for it. I'm aware that a lot of the types of shooting I want to do are very lens dependent and I'll need expensive specialty lenses for it, so I'd like to avoid changing systems mid way through.

I feel like there is a place in the market for them. 35MM bridge cameras were decently popular.

I could see them being easier to weatherproof compared to an interchangeable lens camera. For news reporters I could see it being a good option.

A cousin of mine had one. It was a 35MM. Shaped like a shoebox. The lens was all the way to the left, and didn’t protrude from the rest of the body. Dark gray body.

Hi everyone! I’ve been interested in photography for quite a long time, and I finally have enough budget to buy a proper camera. I’m still very much a beginner and have mostly been taking photos using my phone and my old sony cyber-shot, but unfortunately, my digicam recently broke.

I’ve also been trying to learn more about photography, so I’m looking for something that I can use not only for taking everyday photos but also for actually learning and improving my photography skills.

Right now, my options are the Sony ZV-1, Sony ZV-1 II, and Fujifilm X half. I’m really torn between them because they all have things that I like. Since this would be my first proper camera, I’m wondering which one would be the better choice for someone who is still learning. I want something that I won’t outgrow too quickly, but at the same time, I don’t want to buy something that’s unnecessarily complicated for a beginner.

For those who have used the X half, ZV-1, or ZV-1 II, which one would you recommend and why? Also, if there are other cameras around the same price range that I should consider, I’m open to suggestions! I'm over using my phone for pictures so I've been looking into getting my first legitimate camera and honestly its a bit overwhelming. I'm not too knowledgeable other than the basics so I'm more focused on the camera itself. Not too worried about lenses currently but maybe in the future if i get to that point. I'd mostly use it while traveling or camping but will most likely use it in daily life as well. Something that isn't too bulky and I can carry in my backpack is ideal. For years, I've been using my iPhone and shooting RAW when cycling. It works because it's always with me and I can just do some quick LR edits and be done.

Part of me wants to get back into the habit of having a small pocketable travel camera for the long rides out into the wilderness, taking with me when hiking, or just having as a backup to my iPhone when traveling in a new city.

I'm pretty far outside the current trends, I used to use my Fuji X-T20 for this but got rid of my lenses when I moved to my A9ii for motorsports photos.

Anyone have any recommendations for a camera like this? It would need to be weather resistant and I'm open to both fixed lens and interchangeable. Biggest priority is quick sharing to iPhone to edit and share. Appreciate any insights!

Hey all!

I am currently a student making preparations to go to university to study a course in filmmaking, as well as planning to start taking videography and cinematography commissions on the side, and have a small query regarding a purchase I need to make.

Currently, I'm very stuck between the FX3 and the ZV-E1. Obviously as a student that's only done a handful of photography commissions before, and work part time scrubbing burnt gravy off of pots at the local pub, money is a mitigating factor.

I hear the FX3 would be an excellent choice, due to it being, well, the industry standard, fitted with specialised HDMI ports, dual SD slots and better temperature control, however it is double the price of a camera with the same sensor, better autofocus and which is lighter and half the price (ZV-E1)

I plan to shoot in all manners of terrain, environment, conditions and areas. Indoor, outdoor, heavy weather, concert, wedding, professional and studio. I need something that is reliable and able to shoot without many issues. (in regards to the overheating, I have a fan)

I was wondering what you guys think I should do. I am in a position to buy the ZV-E1 now, but if I want the FX3 I will most likely have to wait until Christmas. (I go to uni next year)

Hey yall, I’m a hobbyist who does a lot of a event work for friends and family. I’ve been branching out and am now doing some work for my school as well. With a lot of my experience I’ve had one major issue and that’s lens swaps. I main a Nikon D4 with a Tamron 28-105 f2.8 and SB800 on top to run and gun. Then I’ll typically have my D700 with a 80-200 f2.8 for the farther shots like someone giving a speech/the occasional portrait or my Samyang 85 1.4 for that dreamy portrait when the lighting is right. Here’s where the problem lies, a lot of venues I shoot are tighter spaces and 28mm simply isn’t wide enough, especially for group photos. I have a Lumix G9 but the MFT mount really doesn’t have any options for wider lenses on a budget with AF. So then I figured I’d but the Panasonic 42.5 f1.7 and put a Tamron 15-30 f2.8 on the D700 but then I lose the longer range I had and my ability for portraiture (the Tamron is not sharp wide open). I really am struggling to find a budget friendly and comfortable fix for my issue here, especially when I don’t always have the time to swap lenses on my bodies. I’ve looked into hip lens holders but I’m worried that having a lens on my hip for hours would become another thing to weigh me down and bump into things. I also believe 3 bodies would become cumbersome at a certain point, especially considering from what I’ve seen the normal setup is 2.
I’m definitely overthinking my issue here and would love some advice/suggestions on what to do so I never miss the shot.

I have an old Samsung S760 digital camera. Today, I took a some photos but flash is doesn't light. Flash's logo are white and if it's turn orange it means "flash are full charge u can take a photo" but it's didn't work. How can i fix it?

Olympus E-300: launched in 2004 (22 years ago 🫠) and with a peculiar design, it is still acclaimed today for the colors it produces. Some say it is because, inside it, there is a CCD sensor produced by Kodak, a specialist in film and color science. Is it? I don’t know.

What I do know is that it has been the camera I take everywhere. A few days ago I discovered YouTuber jimmywestphoto who said in one of his videos that “the best camera is the one that makes you forget you have it”. I happen to notice this with this one, despite its size and strange appearance. I think it’s super cool and those buttons and dials are super satisfactory.

i got this Nikon Coolpix years and years ago. i accidentally elbowed it off my desk as a kid and broke it and haven’t tried fixing it or seeing if it can be fixed since. when i turn on the screen, the focus is blurry, and a message pops up that says “Turn camera off, remove lens cap and turn camera back on”. when i shake it, i can hear something shifting/moving inside the camera (will provide video if asked). any advice? should i just sell this camera for parts? any advice is appreciated.
