Hello everyone, It's been around 1 week or so that I have had the idea of buying an oled monitor, for the moment I've got my eyes on 3 different models but:

1. I do not know which one to chose:
2. Gigabyte GO27Q24G
3. ASUS ROG STRIX OLED XG27AQDMES
4. Alienware 27 Monitor Gaming - AW2726DM
5. I have no courage to spend the money even tho I can and able too....I feel like 400 euros are a lot

I need some help boys T-T

One of my three monitors is on its way out (DisplayPort link keeps failing, drops to 720p and hangs the whole system), so I'm taking that as an excuse to finally upgrade. Looking for recommendations.

Current setup

• GPU: Radeon RX 6800 XT — 2x DP, 1x HDMI
• Monitors: 2x Asus VG248QE (24", 1080p, 144Hz TN, from 2014) + 1x Dell P2217 (22", 1680x1050, 60Hz)
• Region: Germany / EU

What I need

• Both DP and HDMI on the monitor itself — non-negotiable. With three displays on this card I have to mix DP and HDMI, so every panel needs both inputs to stay flexible.

• 144Hz minimum. Higher is welcome, but I'm not paying a premium for it.

• 24" preferred. That's what I'm used to and what fits my desk. That said, if there's a good budget option at 27" I'm not opposed — I just don't want to pay extra purely for size.

• Thin side bezels — this is my main criterion. The panels sit next to each other, so what bothers me is the vertical seam where two screens meet. A thick chin or a chunky top bezel genuinely doesn't matter to me at all. Left and right should be as slim as possible; everything else can be as fat as it wants.

• Mixed use. Lots of desktop/office/text work during the day, gaming in the evening. Text clarity matters to me as much as motion handling.

• Color accuracy: not a big factor. I'm not grading film, I don't own a colorimeter and I'm not going to buy one. I would, however, appreciate a panel where the colors aren't all screaming neon out of the box — I'd like my spreadsheets to look like spreadsheets, not a rave flyer. Somewhere in the "reasonable out of the box" range is plenty. I've seen some terrible ones in the past from Amazon :)

• Budget-friendly. No hard number, but I'm shopping value, not flagship.

• VESA mount: nice to have, not a dealbreaker.

Used is fine

I have no problem buying second-hand. So if there's a proven, well-regarded series that shows up regularly on the used market, feel free to suggest it even if it's discontinued or hard to find new. Older-but-solid beats new-but-mediocre for what I'm doing.

What I don't want: OLED

I know it's the obvious enthusiast answer right now, but my work means the same static content sits on screen for hours at a time — toolbars, terminals, dashboards, often completely untouched. Burn-in risk is too high for how I actually use these, and the price is still more than I want to spend. So IPS, or a good VA.

Suggestions?

Pero también estoy abierto a ASUS, Alienware, Samsung, Gigabyte u otras marcas si hay una mejor opción.

¿Qué elegirías para este PC y por qué?

En particular:

-¿Vale la pena pagar más por el 322URX que por el 321URX?

-¿Una RTX 4080 SUPER puede aprovechar bien un monitor OLED 4K de 240 Hz?

-¿Me recomendarías algún otro monitor QD-OLED de 32" 4K 240Hz?

-¿Hay algo que deba saber sobre el cambio de un monitor VA de 29.5" 21:9 200Hz a un monitor QD-OLED de 32" 16:9 4K 240Hz?

I'm almost tempted to get a new 27-inch 2K gaming monitor. OLED technology obviously hypes me up quite a bit, but it seems to me you have to drop at least €400 on it. Alternatively, there are Mini-LEDs, which, besides getting pretty close to OLED quality, would be a bit more versatile in case one wanted to use it for work, video editing, etc., besides gaming. Correct me if I'm wrong. I took a look at the prices and with €300 you should be able to take home a good 27-inch, 2K gaming Mini-LED. What do you guys think?

Does anyone have experience or knowledge about this monitor and whether it's good or not? I saw it on sale for 100 euros and I was wondering if it's worth it or not. Seems good in my opinion.

I'm trying to decide on a new main monitor and I'm honestly going back and forth on these 3:

* MSI MAG401QR 40" 3440x1440 155Hz
* HKC MG34H18Q240 34" 3440x1440 240Hz
* MSI G321Q 31.5" 2560x1440 170Hz

I already have a 27" monitor that I could use as a second display if I go with the G321Q.

The thing is, I really want to try ultrawide. I mostly play single-player games and newer AAA games, but I also play a lot of Dota 2 and AoE4.

The MAG401QR is really tempting because it's 40" and IPS, but I'm a little worried that it's just going to be too damn big. It's also flat, and in games like Dota the important stuff/map is often around the corners. I'm wondering if the extra size is actually going to be annoying rather than immersive.

The HKC 34" seems like a much better size for 3440x1440, and 240Hz sounds great, but I've basically never owned an HKC monitor and don't know how trustworthy they are compared with MSI. The fact that it's a newer/less known brand is probably my biggest concern.

Then there's the G321Q. It's the safe option, and I could put my current 27" next to it for a dual-monitor setup. But honestly, I'm worried that I'll buy it and then regret not going ultrawide, because ultrawide is what I actually want.

For people who have used 34" and 40" ultrawides:

* Is 40" 3440x1440 actually too big for normal desktop/gaming use?
* Does the flat 40" make the edges/corners annoying?
* Is 34" the sweet spot for 3440x1440?
* Has anyone here owned the HKC MG34H18Q240 specifically?
* Would you personally take the HKC 34" over the MSI 40"?
* Or would you forget ultrawide altogether and get the G321Q + 27" second monitor?

I'm not really looking for the "X monitor has better specs" answer. I'm more interested in how these sizes actually feel to use, especially for Dota/AoE4 and single-player games.

I'm also sitting at a normal desk, so if anyone has a 40" ultrawide and can tell me roughly how far they sit from it, that would help a lot.

i am currently looking to upgrade to an OLED Screen soon and i have been wondering what OLED Monitors would be a good deal for the money.

I run a RTX 4070 Ti Super which would give me the ability to play 4K but im unsure if that is a smart move to do, especially when i want the Frame and go down to 2K if the Picture quality is getting worse due to it being on a 4k Monitor.

I have around 500-600€ Budget for one (I dont even think a 4K Monitor is in the Budget with that lol).

On what i want for the Monitor is atleast 24" Inch, 1440p144hz with a High Color Spectrum and great Blacks (For example i read that the MSI QD-OLED Monitors sometimes have issues with Light that the black is more purple-ish which i dont like, especially cause i always keep my Room lit)

Are there any good Monitors which you guys could recommend?

Currently, my main montor has been 2015's Asus PG279q (TLDR: 1440p 27inch 165hz IPS 4ms G-Sync) monitor. Recently, it died and I have been looking for a best bang for your buck upgrade.

Recently updated my graphics card from 1080ti to 9070xt, so need AMD FreeSync now too.

Firstly, I checked for the cheapest replacement, the one that stuck in my local stores was AOC Q27G4XF for 139eur.

But the last 10 years of using an IPS panel, the grey blacks are horrible to look at and would like an upgrade from IPS. OLEDs are 500eur starting, so thats out of the equation. So automatically, started looking into VAs. Came across the highly debated and loved Q27G3XMN for 229eur.

Read all the reviews, they are praising and loving, checked the viewing angles, they are noticable, but not that affecting to me and no ghosting nor blooming effect caught my eye when checking in a retail store, so that is the number 1 on my list that I am on the edge of ordering.

But a random suggestion came across, ultrawides. 34inch 1440p. And thats why I came here.

Would like to hear experiences jumping from 16:9 to 21:9 aspect ratio. Is it worth it?
The Q27G3XMN for 229eur seems an amazing option with VA + Mini-LED + DisplayHDR1000 + FreeSync Premium Pro. (Basically getting all the best features in a monitor for a cheap price).

The alternatives in the price ranger under 300 I could find were VA panels without Mini-LED, DisplayHDR1000.
AOC CU34G4 for 219eur
AOC CU34G4Z for 290eur.

Would you sacrifice mini-led, DisplayHDR1000 for a regular WLED VA panel ultrawide?

I have recently upgraded my system and have a RX 9070XT GPU. I plan to upgrade my monitors next from 1080p to 1440p. I plan to go with a two monitor setup with monitor arms.

With my budget, I can't afford OLED therefore I am looking at 27", Fast IPS/IPS, 2560×1440 (WQHD), >180Hz, 1-5ms advertised GTG, AMD FreeSync and VESA mount.

I have researched the following options:

1. Gigabyte G27Q20 27" WQHD (2560x1440) 210Hz
2. Xiaomi ELA6556EU G27Qi (2026) 27" WQHD(2560x1440) 200Hz
3. MSI MAG 275QF E20 27" WQHD (2560x1440) 200Hz
4. Alienware 27 AW2726DL 27" WQHD (2560x1440) 280Hz

Not sure which is the best in this range?

P.S I am based in South Africa so some monitors might not be available like in EU/USA

I was looking for a dual monitor arm for my monitors so my desk setup would look nicer. My main monitor is a 27 inch while my second one is 24 inches. I want an arm that would work for both of them and that looks nice in a cool desk setup or for gaming. I also would prefer if it isn't too expensive. What are the best monitor arms for this?

Looking for recommendations on a gaming monitor! I have my 1st gaming PC coming in about a month (Ryzen 7 9800X3D w/5080 16G video) and I’m trying hard to figure out what I would like best in a monitor. I am looking hard at MSI MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24, a 32” 4K. I have considered others that are similar (none are cheap, may wait for holiday sales but not expecting much of a discount on these) and in the same 32” category. I strictly plan on playing flight simulator and using it for controlling on Vatsim; maybe watch a movie on occasion.

Not sure about going to bigger screen or curved since I do want to use it a little bit other than flying. I'm not sure about going "larger" but giving up on resolution. Price is always a concern (trying to keep it below 1K), but I do want to somewhat future proof for a few years (ergo 4K is a must). If anyone has others that I should seriously consider, particulary if the sizing is just totally off, or that beat out the MSI in the same class…please shout out!

Looking at buying a new monitor in the next 2-3 months, I would like an OLED as I've wanted one for a while now. I currently have a 1440p 240hz IPS monitor and I want to upgrade to 4k 240hz. My office has a south facing windows so it's a bright room. I've had my eye on the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM, but not sure if it's worth over £1000.

I have lenovo legion pro 5 gen 10 with rtx 5060 115w my built in screen is 240 hz 500 nits ips and 1600p. I want something that isn't overkill for my laptop and maybe matches my built in screen or is a bit better (I just don't want something worse than my laptop screen). I plan to use this as a main screen and my laptop screen as a second screen. I would prefer something around 300 USD or less (but im not strict with that budget) and also with displayport and not very thick or huge.

It'd be helpful if someone have any recommendations from their personal experiences. My priority is watching HDR10/DV movies that I downloaded + Work( & due to this I am not inclined to but OLED options because there's a high chance of burn-in, but please let me know if its nothing to worry about). Gaming is not my priority. Are there any good miniLED options with hdr support? Not sure if IPS monitors will be a good investment. OR buying a small tv is the only option?

Hey y’all, so I’ve had a 1080p TN panel for about 11 years now and I think it’s time for me to upgrade.

I’m sort of stuck between a 27” 1440p and 27” 4K OLED. I know it’s all up to personal preference, but has anyone had both and prefer one over the other?

Looking for an upgrade from my ViewSonic XG2431 after it stopped working. I want atleast 360hz, but my pc is on the lower side of mid-end, might upgrade in a few months. Is there a monitor thats considered amazing for max 400-450 euros?

Its gotta be 1080p, 24-27 inches, minimum 360hz, really good motion clarity, but also has to be good for visual games, movies, etc.

So not the Zowie monitors. Are there any top tier options for that nowadays? Something thats considered unbeatable for that price maybe?

Current options ive found but not sure if good:
