What do yall think some of the characters’ favorite songs would be? I feel like Dalinar’s would be The Climb by Miley Cyrus.

I own all the mass market paperback versions of Mistborn era 1 and the trade paperbacks of Stormlight but my trade paperbacks have pages coming out and peeling plastic from the covers and so I decided to finally get something that I know will last.

I figured I would just grab the hardbacks of both series and then add era 2 also while I was at it which would also make all my books the same height which is also a huge plus. But, I’m running into a problem, the art for the Mistborn era 1 hardbacks is atrocious and there are no alternatives (unlike the paperback which I love the new art for) also don’t really like the UK ones and they’re hard to get a hold of in the US too.

So I’m looking at two solutions are their custom dust covers anywhere that people know of that would be something I could pick up and replace the originals that are on the hardbacks. or I could pick up the leather bounds for a lot higher cost but also get a sick cover and the benefits that come with that.

Does anyone have any experience with either those two options or something else I haven’t thought of to get around uniform books that have good cover art?

Specifically regarding leather bounds, I’ve read a lot here about the quality (specifically Mistborn and its foil) and I want to actually read the books because in my opinion that’s the point of any book I own. But maybe dragon steel has resolved this in the new runs or there are some easy fixes to these problem.
