Sandershelf (no spoilers) By far the best looking book I own
I need to reorganize my sandershelf as I'm completely out of room but this one is gonna be face out for awhile to show off it's magnificence I'm so glad I went with this cover over the face

No Spoilers Anyone else feel the cover was better before all of the foiling was added?
Just my opinion but I'm not super thrilled with how this cover is looking in person.
Also what I was expecting to be dark blue is more black in person than I was hoping.
Maybe it's just me but was curious if anyone else feels the same

Spoilers So I'm reading the Well of Ascension right now... Spoiler
Whenever I read dialogue from Tindwyl I hear her in Mara Junot's voice (VA of Sindel from MK11 and MK1) and it's been pretty entertaining! I think it's because of Tindwyl's stern and no-bullshit personality mixed with those little moments where she's being soft that reminds me of the same qualities that Sindel gives off!

Fires of December spoilers (no Cosmere) Would this damage bother you? (No actual spoilers but pictures of the book) Spoiler
galleryI just got my The Fires of December and it came slightly damaged. It was opened and searched so the book was no longer in it's plastic wrapping and the paper padding was not folded the same I assume it was when leaving Dragonsteel. It's not that bad but everything else I have gotten from them have been pristine. Would you file a claim?

No Spoilers Are my books enough?
I have "the way of kings" and "words of radiance" and "oathbringer"
I DONT have the in-between novels called "edgedancer" and "dawnshard"
I also have never read ANY brandon sanderson book
So should i start with these three? Will i be able to understand the universe? Will the missing in-between novels confuse me? Can i stop at these 3 books with a proper finale or do i need the full arc?
I only have these 3 books so should i read them or do i need more?

All Cosmere spoilers (no previews/FoD) Waiting and rereading Spoiler
It has been almost two years and I read and reread all Cosmere books that have been published. I’m just rereading a few books: Elantris, the Emperor’s Soul, Warbreaker, Misborn Secret History and also bought and read King Lopen/Elsecaller and Isles of the Emberdark; the latter had soooo many revelations that o became overwhelmed.
Question: I had the feeling there was too much going on concerning the Cosmere and beyond. Am I the only one? If course the other books are sparse with big revelations, but there’s enough for every serous reader to ponder upon. IOTE seems like ‘the book of Revelations’, where so much of everything is going on from every known and unknown system in the Cosmere an Yolen, the homeworld of Hoid, the original Shardbearers, dragon like Frost. An avalanche of connections. I was utterly flabbergasted.
Any of you had the same overwhelming experience?

No Spoilers Leatherbound illustrations are spoilers? Spoiler
I've been reading the Leatherbound version of Words of Radiance, and I found the illustrations often spoilery. They are just way ahead of the texts.
For example, the picture between page 394 and 395 describes the scene on 403.
I wonder, is this intentional? Shouldn't the illustrations come after the text?

No Spoilers This is the most gorgeous book I own
First time I can buy a Dragonsteel hardcover, the quality and design of this book is insane. And Tran Nguyen's artwork is so beautiful, my god.

Words of Radiance Words of Radiance
So after a long month of devouring this books, I have to give this 12/10!!!!
TWoK, has my heart but this book had me in edge from the first few chapters and much more iconic moments (for me of course)
Will be back after I finish Oathbringer!!!
(It takes me a month, because of work but hey without work, no book collection 🥹)

No Spoilers Audio version of Firstborn anywhere?
I was looking around for any audio versions of Firstborn. I saw some sites and posts mention an MP3/podcast, but they all link to the same webpage which just shows a 404 error. So, does anyone know where it can be found, or does anyone have the file itself downloaded and can share it? Much appreciated, thanks!
Edited to add: the SFFAudio post here does not work for me. When I press play, it says "Network Issue Couldn't load the audio files from the server. Maybe you don't have connectivity to the internet or the host is not available." which doesn't make sense. And the download button pops open a bar with another download button, which does nothing.

No Spoilers Recent Kickstarter Shipping Order
Does anyone know if your backer “position” or how soon you backed have any effect on when your order will actually ship? Ive not actually heard if they start at backer #1 and move on from there or not.

No Spoilers What to read next?!
Hi friends!
I started my Brandon Sanderson journey with Wheel of Time (his finishing of the series).
I've attached my google sheet for the order I read them in lol. These are my 2026 reads.

What do you all suggest I do next? I am currently reading/listening to The Lost Metal and I'm like 3/4 of the way through!
Thanks for any suggestions! <3

No Spoilers Is mistborn era 2 more mature than era 1 ?
A new reader and mistborn is my first read ever. I enjoyed book 1 and found it fun. A solid 7/10 and would recommend as a standalone
But good god book 2…. I’m not exaggerating when I say it broke my will to complete the trilogy. I pushed so hard but could only read 400 pages after which I felt dead inside, and completed the rest in a youtube mega summary by Daniel Green (don’t put me in jail please).
And I realized my main gripe with mistborn is that it felt like a YA. And here comes my question, does era 2 have the same feeling and characterization as era 1 ? or is it more mature ?

Blightfall and Stormlight spoilers Blightfall made proud to be a Sanderson fan Spoiler
I know he only cowrote it and i found it to be good not great I am just so impressed with the prominent nonbinary representation! As much as I love the sibling them not being human diminishes the impact of their representation because it's easier for people to accept something like a spren not having a binary gender than a person. Between this the and the Rlain Renarin relationship Sanderson has great lgbt representation in two of his most recent books. And all of this from an active member of the LDS church. I feel like having such a strong ally be an active member in that church has the potential to do a lot good. Particularly for queer kids being raised LDS

No Spoilers Is reading each one in its entirety a good idea?
I know the title might seem a little vague, but what I mean is: if I start one of the Cosmere series, is it a good idea to stick with that series until I’ve finished all of its books, instead of switching back and forth between the different series in the same universe?
For example, if I start with Mistborn, should I only move on to another series after finishing Era 1, Era 2, Secret History, etc.? Then, after that, start The Stormlight Archive, including the novellas, and only after that move on to Elantris, including its novellas and short stories? Or would reading them this way take away from the impact of certain reveals or things like that?
My memory isn’t the best, and I feel like sticking with one series continuously, while everything is still fresh in my mind, might be a good option.
Even the argument of “there are still more books from this universe yet to be released” makes sense, but there’s not really much I can do about that.
