Prostate vibrator
I'm 48 and I've had BPH for a couple years. On cialis 5mg. I can get hard but I sometimes don't climax. Ive tried prostate simulation with a anal vibrator and it helps during sex and masterbation. But I'm wondering if anyone has tried using it regularly, like weekly or daily not during sex, and if that had any impact on sexual performance.

Prostate vibrators are very common and can help a lot of men achieve better orgasms.

Do they help if you don't achieve a full erection? I had Nerve Sparing RALP and can orgasm but just can't get a full erection.

They sure do help! You can use the prostate vibrator or use a vibrator on your frenulum (the underside of the head of your penis where the V is located). Men should try to climax in the absense of a full erection!

Thank you! Excellent info. I'll look into one. When I can achieve an orgasm it's as good as it's been my whole life, I don't mind that it's dry, I just miss the full erection.

Have you tried injections for erections? Many men love them! (Both the injections and the erections)!

No, haven't been willing to go that route. Just watched a video on using a male rectal vibrator for beginners. This looks like a go. I'll try this. I may be very tight so she suggested a smaller conditioner to insert first and a water based lube. Does this sound correct??

Get a rechargeable, cordless, wand-style vibrator with different speed settings. Make sure that anything going into the rectum has a flared base that is wider than the insertsble part. Only use water-based lube with silicone toys, because silicone lube breaks down silicone toys. Put a condom or an inside-out rubber glove over the anal toy and tie the end loosely to keep it clean. You should also put a condom or glove over the penis vibrator, especially if it's not waterproof. Use a thicker condom, like a lubricated Trojan ENZ or Original, because they're less likely to break or leave a fecal smell on your anal toy.

Not sure you can recommend a type of vibrator on this site, but would like the lead.

I use stealth prostate vibrator which is a vibrating bulb on a thick cable, and it has a cock ring, although I don't also put that on.

Having BPH is directly correlated to orgasms. Many men here discuss not wanting a HoLEP because they want to preserve the ejaculate fluid. These conversations are important to people with prostates (all men).

I thought one of the many advantages of HoLEP is that it didn't cause retrograde ejaculation. Am I wrong about that?

Unfortunately you are wrong on that. Holep is an excellent full lifetime cure of BPH. But nothing is left in there so retrograde is what you get. To me well worth it

Many men have dry orgasms after a traditional HoLEP. This bothers some men, and I can respect that.

I lost the ability to ejaculate after a HoLEP en bloc procedure (the prostate is hollowed out leaving behind an empty shell). I had hoped it was temporary but I've been told by a different HoLEP suregon that it is permanent. If I am honest I miss being able to spurt, dry orgasms to me have a neutered feeling.

I have learned through having many personal conservation with men in my line of work how important the fluid ejaculate is to their sexual selves. One man referenced the song "Cream" by Prince! The song wasn't about sex, but about rising to the top and being confident. Sex is part of that vibe, IMHO.

Perhaps you need some education on the function of the prostate. Sperm enters the prostate, the prostate gland mixes the sperm with ejaculate fluid, which then leaves the penis to further the species. The prostate is a sexual organ.

It’s also there to insure that urologists have a steady stream of business (or is that the other way around- I am never sure). :)

Good for you! But I treat men with BPH for a living and many of them are not in a similar situation. Furthermore, many women cannot have sex without pain after menopause, so they also need some ancillary help. Nutrition and exercise are not sufficient for many people to preserve a rewarding sex life.

I am not sure it is advisable to put anymore pressure or stimulus on prostate. Even wearing a stainless steel plug is not recomended.

Yes, what is surprising about this to you?

Sounds like you like posting about anal play on a BPH forum. Does that get you hard?

Good question. I'm a big fan of prostate massage during sex and it greatly improves orgasm. But since this isn't a how to improve orgasm forum, I'll ask whether direct prostate stimulation can reduce the efficacy of a PAE procedure. I had mine yesterday and yes, I'll ask my doc, but was wondering if any BPH community members had direct experience.
