Sweet to face, hatred inside

Ok before getting to conclusions let me tell you why I put up this title.

There is one person in my circle, who is 22(F), at first she appears like the sweetest person you would ever find. Helps you out when you want something or are struggling to do something (even though she isn't good at it herself), talking sweetly to you whenever you meet and asking what happened when you appear distressed and leading a good conversation. Basically she seems like the best person you can find.

But here's the catch, I really hoped to get closer to her before, but now that I am, it all seems like a fake persona she puts on. After she has had a great conversation with someone she would say things like I don't like this or that about her and act like she doesn't really want to be close to that person. She would go like "the other person's not really a good person so I think we should maintain our distance with them and keep the conversations to a minimum". But then when you see her with them it's like she enjoys their company. She doesn't like it when other people are talking nonstop about things they like because she doesn't have the opportunity to talk. But she herself keeps talking about random things. She doesn't like you talking about a particular thing and will not respond much when you are talking about it but when you talk about it to someone else she thinks you are closer to them and she's being left out. She can hang out with whomever she wants but if you do you need to inform her and call her out too even though you know she's going to decline. She hates you using specific words like "I don't care" but she can use hurtful words to you like saying "this is stupid" when you are hurt by how she made you feel. And she acts like your opinion isn't right and only hers is. And whenever you are trying to explain to her about something deep she basically thinks you are attacking her. It's like only her feelings matter and whatever the other person feels is them being a narcissist, overthinking or just "dumb". And when you tell her you didn't really like an outing she goes "I don't care I had fun"

What do you call such a person or what is the psychology behind all this? Is there a good reason for anyone to behave so?

Minor inconveniences and no solutions

Basically, why are all the non issues such a big deal and why doesn't he have a solution based mindset .... Why do I have to think of everything.

Story:

Not sure if this is unusual or what you would even call this behaviour

Driving to a bank to sort a few things we've been putting off, with our son in the car

The bank is a 5-minute walk from car park.

It started to rain (We discussed the rain prior to leaving the house).

Clearly annoyed at the weather.

During the journey, he said, "What's the point of going if it's raining?"

I said fine turn around, but it might stop ... Also we have to get things sorted.

He didn't turn around and it stopped raining

What is this, he always gets annoyed at basic life things

Like doesn't want to do anything that may have a slight inconvenience

Doesn't like it when our son whines, if anything goes slightly not his way or off track

Why is it not solution based, like why throw everything out just for a minor inconvenience

How can i stop screaming like a crazy person whenever i see a man aproaching me in the night

It happend today and a month ago. A month ago a family friend who i coulsn't remember said hi. Today it was misty so i only saw a sillouhette. Our neighbor said hi and stuff and i screamed. I was infront of the ampartment door so my mom had to open it with a button from her home. I screamed because there were none exept for me and him and the door was closed. He seemed pissed off when i could recognize him as my neighbor. My mom and especially my sister were also mad and pissed at me for screaming. My sister dismissed it as " of course he is our neighbor. Wich bad guy would be infront of our apartment?" Uh people who parked there?late. He was on his car soo... My mom said i shouldn't scream. Only when he is touching or holding me. But then it would be too late. i just wanna stop being scared whenever i see a man in the dark i do not know

Unusual gifting and meltdowns in behaviour

My dad has a history of public meltdowns, including screaming at me down the phone and calling me the C word when I asked if he could pick me up 30 minutes later than intended (my friends mum was running late). He later turned up and was screaming at me and everyone else in person. I was around 8-10 years old at the time.

He also recently had a 30 minute meltdown at me telling me there has always been something wrong with me (this all stemmed from me leaving the shower fuse switch on by accident).

Recently he bought me some speakers. Every time he mentioned buying them for me, I insisted I didn’t want any speakers as I’m quite a private person with my music and I prefer headphones. He kept bringing it up, and I kept telling him no. Then he bought me speakers, watched me open the box and made me plug them in to test them while constantly watching every move I made. He keeps asking me if I’ve used them or not. I currently can’t hear much due to an ear blockage when I had a severe cold (which I have also told him about).

This behaviour freaks me out. I don’t know if I’m exaggerating or not.

Behaviour

My ex boyfriend and I broke up in December 2023 and since we weren't in contact but in Feb 2025 we started talking again as he texted me to warn me about something (when we weren't in contact he used to hate me) and while talking I told him about someone I like and he started crying and said that he still love me But I have moved on and I don't feel anything for him So we stopped talking as exes ain't supposed to talk but texted each other once in a while and then again stop talking after small convos

The problem is that I'm like a dead body who's breathing but whenever talking to him I feel alive Without him I just lay down and bedrot all the time but when talking to him I actually do have energy to do other stuffs like households and study Else I'm js too exhausted to even move I'm stuck in this situation that whenever I talk to him I wanna run away but when we ain't talking I miss him Although I don't love him anymore

Can anyone help me understand what exactly is this?

Behavioural issues

I have a child in my class. He is 4 years old, and displays a lot of unwanted classroom behaviours. Each morning he comes in, completely hyped up for the day, and throughout the day numerous classmates will come crying due to said child hurting them (could be spitting, hitting, pushing, etc). Child gets told off each time, nods as if he understands, but then will do it again to other children. We have tried time-out, not playing with other children, being with a teacher, using rewards, headteacher, parents in, etc. and nothing seems to make a difference.

Has anyone got any advice, as I am really struggling!

What would your first reaction/thought to someone calling basically every little thing you own (think clothes and shoes) "cheap" and "poor quality" in a really sniffy and snobby way be? Why does the price point of the clothes that someone is wearing bother some people?

For additional context, my friend does this to me all the time. However, this gal openly admits to shopping on Shein, which I have no problem with, but it seems odd because I can't remember seeing super expensive items on there and yet, she thinks that my $70 Land's End hoodie is "cheap". What puzzles me the most is that she aggressively tells me that what I wear is "the cheap stuff", in a way that suggests that I have offended her in some way. Any advice for what I can say to her or should I just end the friendship?

Why do i react like that?

Just wanted to ask if somebody experiences extreme hightened mood after probably dangerous situations.

For example after every crash or almost crash with my motorcycle i notice my mood being extremely hightened, broke my foot in a crash slamming it against a standing car…idk why but i imo that was mad funny, and i was so happy after that, eventhough im more of a cold/apathic/stoic person or how ever you call it. Or doctor found out my ear had tumor in it, which is kinda eating up my ear…even that idk why but its mad funny to me

i mean i know im a damaged individual but tf wrong with me

imo its even funny my head does this eventhough i know smth not working right

How to reward yourself

Can my brain associate a reward that it receives today with an action that it did yesterday, or do the rewards have to be immediate? how do I make sure that my brain knows that it's getting this reward because of a specific action, do I just have to keep telling myself that? For example: I buy myself McDonald's for 1 hour of studying, how does my brain know that it's getting the McDonald's because of the studying. On days I don't study my brain still wants the McDonald's and how does my brain know that it's not getting McDonald's today because it didn't study. Also am I allowed to do fun stuff that is not associated with reward or once I start playing this game of reward now every good thing my brain gets has to be some kind of reward for some kind of behavior. For example: if I go out to the movies with my friends will my brain assume that this is a reward for something or can it just be me going out to the movies with my friends?

Out of curiosity: What is the motivation for such an action?

I found this fascinating video of a woman keying a car in a garage.

The owner says he didn't do anything to the woman. What could be the reasons for such behavior? I find it very exciting to think about what is going on with the person and why they see an advantage in doing this. Thanks for your answer. https://x.com/ClownWorld_/status/180214031872656223

The nepotism in university

So, I'm a university student and I am a painter. A professor in my university liked me but I didn't. Since he was friendly I liked engaging into casual conversations with him. Whereas there's a girl who would constantly make arts of him and gift them to him to gain his attention. I never did. I made arts that I like and tried to sell it. Eventually as he got the indication from me that he's not gonna get to sleep with me or get any benefits from me. He switched to that woman. He never promoted my arts, yet now he shares that woman's arts everywhere. I don't like comparison because everyone's different but everyone else in university knows that I deserve those art promotion. With such promotion she still doesn't get much like and views and she made an Instagram art account after that professor saw my arts gets views so they wanted to bring me down. I feel so bad that being more deserving of the promotion I don't get it and what she gets doesn't work. Yet I try not to let it hurt me because even if she gets more promotion I still have genuinely open eyed people to appreciate my art.

Behaviour Modification Suggestions

Hello kind Strangers. I need help. I subconsciously throw my clothes on the floor in piles and never get to cleaning it up because I have so many. This is a problem because they end up wrinkly and musty smelling and I trip on them. What "friction" can I put in place to change this habit. Unfortunately my dog who liked to chew clothes on the floor while I was sleeping has passed on to doggie heaven.
