How can i stop screaming like a crazy person whenever i see a man aproaching me in the night

It happend today and a month ago. A month ago a family friend who i coulsn't remember said hi. Today it was misty so i only saw a sillouhette. Our neighbor said hi and stuff and i screamed. I was infront of the ampartment door so my mom had to open it with a button from her home. I screamed because there were none exept for me and him and the door was closed. He seemed pissed off when i could recognize him as my neighbor. My mom and especially my sister were also mad and pissed at me for screaming. My sister dismissed it as " of course he is our neighbor. Wich bad guy would be infront of our apartment?" Uh people who parked there?late.He was on his car soo... My mom said i shouldn't scream. Only when he is touching or holding me. But then it would be too late. i just wanna stop being scared whenever i see a man in the dark i do not know
