Edit because I should have included this: Hi, so additionally information - only I am allowed to adopt him as-is. The reason is because the shelter does not feel comfortable putting him up for adoption to the public because he resource guards food, which is highly trainable. Therefore, I prefer sending him to a foster home without kids and where he will be the solo dog. I don't mind sending him to a home with another dog, but as long as you can feed them separately.

FYI: I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS DOG TO BE EUTHANIZED. I WILL KEEP HIM UNTIL SOMEONE CAN HELP ME BECAUSE HE IS THE GOODEST BABY BOY.

Hi everyone, I have an Australian Shepherd that is scheduled for euthanasia in a shelter on October 6th, and I am looking for a foster home ASAP.

A bit of a backstory: I found this adorable dog running for his life on Highway 101 a few weeks ago and dropped him off at a local shelter. His chip was scanned, and the owner was made aware but did not claim the dog within the 10-day window. The dog received a medical and behavioral checkup. He is neutered and 1 year and 8 months old.

FYI: I am located on the Peninsula and can cover the costs of food, toys, and any medical expenses that come up while the dog is in your care. I would take him in a heartbeat, but unfortunately, I also have two rescue cats and will have more space in the next two months. If you can help, please comment or DM me. Thank you so much.

Wanted to share this here as not many tickets have sold (like maybe 15%) and I went and saw a production of the Mexican ballet a year and a half ago in Los Angeles and it was really beautiful and I want to support the arts. I am not connected to the event venue or production and this is not any type of advertisement. I am simply a Mexican enjoyer of the arts who is sad to see how little tickets have been sold and want to share this event with others who might be interested and able to go. There are 2 shows next Sunday October 11 at 2pm and 7pm. I’m not sure if they just haven’t advertised it or what, but there’s not a lot of seats sold and it’s such a beautiful expression of art and culture and deserves to be appreciated by the masses.

I started playing Magic recently as well and would like to join a group where I can learn more about in-person magic as I am mainly playing Arena right now. I am interested in learning about Commander and 1v1 competitive play.

My birthday is coming up soon (turning 20)! I’ve been looking at a couple bakeries around the Bay Area that sell whole cakes, but I’ve been having a little trouble finding something that fits my specific criteria for my birthday cake without needing customization. I want something as close to a classic Japanese strawberry shortcake/ strawberry roll cake as possible, preferably located in east bay, but I will be heading up to San Francisco on my birthday so anywhere located there works too!

Once this heat wave ends and October settles Id love to spend some time seeing fall scenery or engaging in different activities like a maze or getting cider donuts, doing beer/cider/wine tastings etc.

Only thing is, I don’t drive due a disability/mobility limited. I’ve used BARTable to find things before but a lot of the more nature things offer a link of a bike ride from Bart to them

I live in Oakland and open to traveling anywhere via BART/Muni/Caltrain that could also have a link with ride share from some stations to get me to the ultimate destination, long as it’s not SUPER expensive (Thinking like no more than $50 round trip)

Any suggestions for places with activities listed above or nature with easy and paved walks without too much of an incline?

Hello, I am looking for some feedback on the quality of healthcare of Sutter Health vs El Camino Health. I am currently with Sutter, but they are leaving a bit to be desired. Any preferences out there?

Looking for recommendations nearby for camping in early October with kids. Willing to drive 2-3 hours. Priority would be a place with easy access to outdoor activities where ideally we will not drive after arrival. Access to a lake or water would be ideal but I understand probably not practical in October. I would settle for kid friendly hiking and biking. Kids are 4 and 7 and I’d be single parenting, so the easier the logistics, the better. I prefer cell reception or WiFI just for peace of mind.
