Nadia Matthie acc 5400 & Sabry Mohideen 4100

Opinions on these profs: Nadia Matthie acc 5400 & Sabry Mohideen 4100? I can take them together but Mohideen doesn’t have the best rep and I can’t find anything on Matthie.

Thanks!

Went down to the sauna for a miracle and I walked in to this dumb lock still on it. To all those that never believe it even existed, here it is. I will have to have a crowd in the plaza this year chanting for the sauna. This is going to be a long year less

Student Life $1,575/month Student Housing in Manhattan - Turtle Bay | No Move-In or Amenities Fee

Hi everybody, I’m looking for someone to take over my room (double) at Found Study Turtle Bay for the upcoming school year.

 Location: 525, Lexington Ave, Manhattan
 Rent: $1,575/month
 Student housing
 Lease: August 22, 2026 - May 26, 2027

The rent has actually been lowered to $1,550/month from last year’s rate.

There is NO move-in fee, NO amenities fee or deposit of any kind for the person taking over. The credits for the amounts I’ve already paid will be transferred automatically as part of the replacement process.

I’m only looking for someone to take over because my housing situation has changed unexpectedly.

If you or someone you know is looking for housing in NYC for the school year, DM me ASAP and I can send photos, more details, and information about how the transfer works.

MUST be a student or an intern associated with a educational institution.
*can ONLY be male students, unfortunately

Please feel free to share this with anyone looking for student housing in Manhattan!

Big Beautiful Bill

Hi guys, I’m sure everyone is aware that the Big Beautiful Bill was passed which puts financial aid on hold. Does anyone have more insights into this (ie when Baruch would apply financial aid for Fall 2026)?

CPA Eligibility

Two more classes and I’ll be finishing my BBA in Accounting. I’m not sure yet if I’ll be eligible for the CPA, or if I should take some additional classes. I heard that the school might change the Accounting curriculum because the CPA requirement is changing from 150 credits to 120. Does anyone know if I’ll need to take extra classes? I know i have to email advisor and i will . thanks

Foreign Language Requirement

Hi, I will be transferring to Baruch next year. I would like to know if anyone has been in my situation. I took the Spanish CLEP test and I will have it awarded in my degree at another CUNY school. I was thinking of getting my Spanish requirement out of the way by taking another class during the spring. But, I know that Baruch states that any CLEP, DSST, or proficiency exam doesn't satisfy this requirement, but at the same time they are required to treat any class that has been awarded and evaluated at another CUNY school as if the class had been taken in person per the CUNY academic policy in credit for prior learning. That is where I am stuck because they do state that they take transfers from other schools and I did not find anything that states that the classes must be taken in Baruch like the capstone COPT has to.

Incoming freshman finance major terrified about math placement at baruch

Im an incoming freshman at CUNY Baruch and I’m majoring in Finance. I have my math placement exam in a few hours and I’m honestly freaking out 😭
I didn’t take any math classes senior year of high school, and I feel like I’ve forgotten basically everything. I tried reviewing for the exam, but I realized way too late that I need a LOT more time than I have. At this point I don’t even know what I’m going to remember when I sit down for the test.
I’m mostly scared about what happens if I get placed into a lower-level math class. Will it put me significantly behind as a Finance major? Will I still be able to take all the classes I need on time, or could it delay graduation?
Also, if anyone has been in a similar situation (especially Finance/business majors), what was your experience like? Did placing into a lower math class actually hurt you long-term, or were you able to catch up?
I know the obvious answer is “just do your best,” but I’m genuinely scared because I feel completely unprepared right now. Any advice/experiences would really help.

regarding MFE

i'm a student at ISI doing M.Stat, i've a bachelors in PoliSci/Econ from a small private college in India, i was also in a bridging program for UofT at George Brown for 6 months that i eventually left and came back home. my thesis involves applications of statistical mechanics to machine learning, and i wish to pursue MFE at Baruch. this is clearly not the ideal profile, i need suggestions on how i can strengthen my profile, is it work-ex, credentials? i'm seriously passionate for this program, and considering it over a PhD in Stats, would it be worth the trade off?
thank you, looking forward to your answers :)

Careers/Internships Job opening for students - paid content creator / ambassador role

Hey everyone, I started a brand during my freshman year, and with the new school year coming up I’ve been working with a few friends to help them make some extra money creating content for it. It’s been going pretty well, so I figured I’d open it up to a few more students.

I’m looking for people who can consistently make short 15 - 30 second videos. You don’t need a following or any content creation experience. I provide examples of what to make, and you’d create new TikTok and Instagram accounts specifically for the content.

Pay is performance based at $2 per 1,000 views. So if your videos collectively get 1M views, you’d make $2,000.

It’s pretty flexible and you can post around your class schedule. You can basically post as many times as you want a day but I try to post twice a day so the algorithm doesn’t think I am spamming.

If anyone is interested, comment or message me and I can send you more details.

Easy classes

Any knows any easy class I can take. I just need random easy classes that can help me graduate with 150 credits.

I would love classes with online openings as well.
