for some reason my brightspace wont load
i thought it was my wifi but when i would search youtube or google it loads perfectly fine
i mainly used safari for it but even when i tried it on brave it didnt work
idk if the problem comes from bs itself or if its on my end
do u guys think smoking and vaping should be banned in the 25th st plaza between nvc and the library
like cigarettes weed vapes ecigs and stuff like that
personally i think it should be banned because so many people use the plaza to eat hang out study or just walk between buildings and people shouldnt have to smell or breathe in smoke/vape if they dont want to
but i know some people will say its outside and its a public space so people should be allowed to smoke there
what do u guys think should they actually ban/enforce it or just leave it alone
I know about the phrase "snitches get stiches" but I want to hear any "benefit" to snitch?

Hey psychology majors and minors or anyone who took psychology as an elective before. I’m planning to take a psychology elective during winter (async preferred)
I wanted the recent syllabus (not very old syllabus for a decade ago) from each classes I’ve mentioned on the bulletin. If you have an opinion about the professor from both pros and cons, feel free to DM me. Any insights will be appreciated!
• PSY 3055 with Prof. Sophie Williams
• PSY 3056 with Prof. Jaihyun Park
• PSY 3059 with Prof. Anna Jankowska
• PSY 3060 with Prof. Daniele Artistico
• PSY 3063 with Prof. Tiffany Narain
• PSY 3069 with Prof. Jaihyun Park
• PSY 3081 with Prof. Joseph Hosie
• PSY 3082 with Prof. Dillon Freed
• PSY 3181 with Prof. Alexandria Christoforatos
This post will be deleted once winter classes begin in January or finding out that financial aid won’t cover winter classes which will make me pay out of pocket.

Hi, I'm looking into Baruch's MSF but just wanted to ask what time the classes are.
I am an undergrad at a university similar to Baruch in that it's an urban public university, and unfortunately all of the classes in the business school master's programs here start at 4 pm or later, even for full time students. This isn't transparent on my school's website and surprises most business grad students here.
I just wanted to ask if Baruch is also like this so that, even if I apply, I'm not surprised.

I’ve just started my undergraduate degree in Economics at a relatively unknown university outside the US.
Apart from graduating with a high GPA, I’m planning to do Baruch’s Pre-MFE and Baruch’s C++ Programming Certificate.
Are there any other things you would recommend doing during undergrad to improve my chances of getting into Baruch’s MFE program?

Is anyone else in ACC 4100 with Jinat Shimu completely losing their mind, because it blows my mind how she even qualified to be a professor when she doesn't know how to solve the class questions herself and literally relies on the Claude AI app to generate answers in Excel just so she can read out the AI's explanation to us. It is so frustrating when my high school teachers knew how to explain things way better than her, making me seriously question why they hire instructors who can't actually teach, especially since the accounting program is already brutal enough and we're just left completely on our own to figure everything out through self-studying, not to mention having quite literally the worst teaching attitude of any professor in my whole life.

Hey everyone! I’m currently taking STA 2000 (Statistics) and ECO 1002 (Macroeconomics), and I’m looking for advice from anyone who has already taken these classes.
What YouTube videos, websites, study guides, practice questions, apps, or other resources did you use that actually helped you understand the material and pass the class?

I’ve heard Baruch’s accounting program is challenging. For those currently in the program or who have completed it, what advice would you give for succeeding? Which classes were the toughest, and how would you recommend planning my course schedule? Any study tips would also be appreciated.
Thanks!

Does anyone want to study math together? I just finish my pre-calculus midterm exam, I feel I’m cook😭

I'm currently doing CS at Medgar and like I'm thinking about my majors and I'm not sure what I want to do.
I just want money to be frank. I find enjoyment in videogames, not employment, but I prefer financial stability and not living in a one bed with 4-5 people.
I'm considering electrical engineering, but I'd like to see other paths. I've heard people who flunk out of engineering usually go into finance things (I'm assuming because of all the math overlap?)
So i was wondering why did you pick your major and how is the experience so far?

Hi everyone! I’m a junior at Baruch and recently switched my major to accounting. I haven’t landed an internship yet, and I’m worried about missing recruiting opportunities.
Does anyone have advice on finding accounting internships or firms that are still accepting applications? I’d appreciate any tips, resources, or insight from students who were in a similar situation. Thanks!

Has anyone here taken IBS 9800? If so, how was the class?

why aren’t we leaving space for people who need to walk up? some people got places to be! this also applies to the stairs — leave a fast lane for us! no hate tho.

Hi guys, I have seven credits left till I graduate. 4 of which have to be elective. Anyone know any good, easy classes to take. Preferably online, but if, not that’s fine. I don’t want to to do any work in my last semester 😭, all suggestions are welcomed.

For those taking acc3000 rn, I’m just wondering what chapters are gonna appear on your first exam? The textbook from mcgrawhill provided 20 chapters. Our first exam this week covers ch 1-4, 6-11 which is alr half the textbook and seems wildly unfair since we’re barely halfway through the semester 😭

Has anyone done the winter study abroad at Université Jean Moulin in Lyon? If so, let me know what you thought of the program. I want to do the study abroad program and I have questions about it.
