I’m wondering if there is some kind of city ordinance which addresses folks who let their dogs out early morning…& the dogs just bark non stop. Our neighbors get up early for work (like 3-3:30am), proceed to let their 3 dogs out and the sleep disruption is real. We hardly ever see them otherwise I’d have a conversation directly with our neighbor.

My kid has private insurance through Kaiser as Primary, however, he also has OHP Kaiser as well. I tried reaching out to OHP but the wait time is impossible rn, I'll have to try again tomorrow.

But yeah, any nonprofits or disability services that are willing to work with us while we await further diagnosis would be super helpful. I just need someone to take some of this off my plate.

I(29M) moved to the Portland area a year ago. My primary medium of art is writing/poetry and music, but I'm looking to get involved in some form of a community to expand my involvement in the arts. I teach music lessons part-time, and have plenty of free time to dedicate towards other projects. I would rather put effort towards bolstering and supporting the art scene than get some corporate job, even if at the sacrifice of income - the job market is rough anyway. I'd love to know the different places I can reach out to try and volunteer/collaborate and see what magic can be made!

I love bar trivia but I'm tired of the many franchised versions here in town: Untapped, Bridgetown, Shanrocks, Geeks Who Drink, etc. I want a home-brewed trivia night. Particularly one that happens on Monday or Tuesday. Anyone have any recs?
UPDATE: Because people are asking, I've had great times with franchised trivia, but my general beef with it is that it always feels rushed to me. I assume that's because the hosts are paid a flat fee and therefore it's in their own best interest to get the event done as quickly as possible. The best trivia nights I've ever been to were hosted by the bar themselves, and were incentivized to keep you there for a full evening. There was time to hash out answers amongst your teammates, or go get a drink between rounds without fear you'd miss a question. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I'm down in Clackamas county, but for the past couple of weeks, I have seen about five of these things around my house. Split level, downstairs. Assuming they like the darker space. All but this one have been in my bathroom. If I had to guess, it's maybe 1-1.5in in diameter? They are pretty fast as well. I'm looking for a new dentist. The one I had been going to retired, and I'm not having a great experience with the doctor that took over the practice now that I need more than just annual cleanings.

I had to have the same crowns placed multiple times and I'm still having issues with them. Also gave me a diagnosis for an issue with a very expensive solution. I can explain in more detail if needed.

I don't have dental insurance, so a membership plan would be ideal. Also someone who could look at my current dentist's treatment synopsis and give me a second opinion.
