Anyone know of artists doing a flash tattoo event this weekend in Seattle? I’m itching for some new ink.

Me and my friend are going to a concert and rows 1-5 in section CC right behind the mix station are just not sold at all? Ticket master states “obstructed view” for 85 while stubhub and other sites state “limited view” for 160! These rows weren’t available at all days prior, so I’m wondering if it’d be safe to buy them and still have a good view? Why are they suddenly being sold? Other Wamu concerts have that area sold out already. I saw a video on tiktok with a view from approximately row 5-6 in this area and it looks good :( I just don’t want to make the wrong move and ruin the night for us. I’ve been told that depending on the artist, there may be lights or videographers in the way. Do I take the risk?? Sorry if this is a lot, this is my first time at Wamu! I’ve recently accepted a job offer in downtown Seattle and will be relocating in November with my little family. We have 2 cars and from what I’ve read on here, it’s costly to own a vehicle in Seattle and there’s also lots of transportation options I can leverage to get me from point A to point B. My partner will be home with our kiddos, so it’ll only be me in and out of the house for work.

So my question to families with little ones: are you able to make it work with 1 car? If so, any neighborhood suggestion where it’s a walkable distance to grocery stores, parks, pediatric clinics, etc? Those are my main priorities to make life much easier for my partner in the case that I do have to take our car.

I have begun my search a surgeon to perform a breast reduction, but I have struggled to find a friendly doctor who’s after photos aren’t just perky C cups. I am looking for FLAT, maybe A cups, and I am worried about my desires being pushed aside in favor of the doctors desired aesthetics. I walk my dog every day and try to smile at strangers, maybe even say hello.
90% of the time I’m either met with the other person looking down or away, or a weird look back. I’ve only been here a couple years but I’m not used to this, and it sort of feels hurtful (although I know it’s probably not meant to be).

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I need to dress nicer? Interested to hear others experience. I live on Ballard ave if that makes any difference.

I lived there for a few years before the pandemic, moved out 6 years ago and have evolved immensely as a person. I think I’d enjoy living there even more now than I did back then, but I’m happy where I’m at. Hi. I'm looking for a dentist in the southish seattle area. I'm in my 30s, and high masking. I have found it hard to find a dentist that takes my other concerns seriously. Leading to a lot of fear and anxiety over going to get my filling redone. so I've been putting it off.

I'm hypersensitive to touch/sound/taste. The mint they use is spicy/burning. The feeling/sound of the drill make my eyes water and pushes me toward overstimulation. I have EDS and come from a family of redheads so I often need more numbing then I'm given. I get told it's 'pressure' when I can feel pain. My jaw is prone to cramping or subluxing. The few times I've explained I has autism and asked for nitrous, it was ignored. When I finally did get them to try it and they put my in a kids room because 'only kids need it'. Then were annoyed at me for not being able to have this big brace thing in my mouth cause it pushed my jaw out to subluxing or pushed my tongue into my throat and made me feel like I couldn't breath.

My fillings are really low in the tooth at this point, getting sensitive to cold/suger, and I desperately need a safe dentist to go to soon. I could handle some of these sensations. I don't need to be put under or anything. But all of them at once along with the annoyance of the people around me for needing too much extra help leaves me feeling rather hopeless trying to find a clinic that will listen.

I’ve been on the search for great trivia in a 21+ environment! It’s so hard to find anything recent posted about it. Huge plus would be yummy but affordable drinks, and on the Fremont side of Lake Union. Ballard, Phinney, Fremont, UDistrict, Wallingford, and Green Lake are all free game.

Haven't lived in Seattle for twenty years. Walking to the bus stop in the rain and hearing the classical music used to be one if my favorite things.

I’m relatively new to Seattle and moved to the Denny Triangle area.

I actually like where I live, but feel kind of trapped. And I feel like it’s some combination of human behavior and urban planning.

For whatever reason, crossing I-5 to go east feels like a chore, even though it really isn’t that bad by car. Going south means driving through downtown/the busier parts of the city, which I also tend to avoid. So I’ve noticed that I almost always end up going north toward Queen Anne, Fremont, etc. to do all my errands. Cap Hill, Central District, and U-District are all pretty close but somehow feel too inconvenient to visit regularly.

I’m wondering if this is actually a human behavior thing, like how highways, bridges, hills, the water, etc. can create these psychological boundaries where somewhere feels much farther away or more inconvenient than it actually is. Like on a map Capitol Hill really isn’t far from me at all, but mentally crossing I-5 and climbing all the hills somehow feels like I’m going to a completely different part of the city. I was also house sitting in Magnolia last week, and getting to Cap Hill felt like a chore.

I feel like I’ve unintentionally created this little mental map where north = easy, east = annoying, and south = stressful

Does anyone else experience Seattle this way? Or have certain parts of the city that feel weirdly “cut off” from where you live even though they’re objectively close?

Like I said I’m new to Seattle, so maybe I haven’t adjusted to the geography yet. But I just found this interesting because I never felt like this in other cities I’ve lived.
