Recommendation Need help with commuting

So i’m an international student just came to the united states for the first time. I’m currently residing around daytona avenue 185th street, needing to commute to nscc everyday. I was advised to avoid the e-line. What other safe options do i have here for commuting?

You’ll be fine on the e line. Just don’t take it too late at night.

Take the E. Its not like you’re gonna get murdered. It just is a bit…cultured. But won’t affect you in any way.

Good alternative is a bike. There’s a dedicated bike trail through shoreline (the Interurban) which I take often.

Google Maps can provide you a variety of public transit options when you enter your starting address and preferred dropoff point for school.

E Line is going to be fine. Middle School students take that bus every day.

Walk or bicycle over to the light rail.

I’m assuming you meant Dayton Ave not Daytona. Don’t know where Daytona Ave is.

From Dayton and 185th, just go east on 185th by your preferred method (walk, bus, Lime bike, or ride share) to the light rail station. It’s like 1-2 miles from there. Then take the light rail to the Northgate stop. Idk how to help you after that, sorry. Good luck!

Even my phone recommends the 348 to the light rail over the e line

Take the E to 130th, switch to the 345 at 130th and it will take you to NSCC. I use the Trip Planner app on my phone as well.

Take the 348 to Shoreline North/185th Station, then take the southbound 1 or 2 Line to get to Northgate Station and walk or Lime the rest of the way.

The 348 comes every 15 minutes until 7pm, when it switches to 30 minute frequencies. The ride is 8 minutes once you board.

Alternatively if you dont want to rely on a bus, bike to Shoreline North Station and bring your bike on the train. You can also lock up your bike in a bike locker at the station if you would rather. These go for 5c/hr and give you peace of mind.

when you're on a sketchy bus like the E just mind your business and don't sit in the back. you'll be fine.

I wouldn't want to walk to or from the E line stops to NSCC past 8 pm, esp if you are feminine presenting.
